Lexie wriggled free as Jaelynn let her go, running up to Seth, but stopping right in front of him. She flopped to her butt, tears rolling down her cheeks as she hugged him tightly.
Aria started to whine and hit Serus, "Lemme go! I wanna see daddy!" "Jesus you don't hit me!" Serus set Aria on the ground, but kept her in place with her telekinesis, "When Lexie is done, you may go. Jaelynn already told you two he's still sore. You don't want to hurt him right?" Aria nodded, looking down, "Yeah.." "I can't believe you guys are my family.." Jaelynn shook her head and sat in a chair, pinching the bridge of her nose. |
Seth prepared for an assault from Lexi. He felt bad when Lexi grabbed his leg. He unwrapped her arms from his legs and put her on his lap with telekinesis. "Shhh kiddo its alright." Seth said as he hugged her as tightly as he could. "I am fine ok. Shh now its alright." Seth said trying to calm Lexi down. "Don't run or jump on me Aria." Seth said as he nodded at Serus.

Serus nodded back and let Aria go, watching the girl dart away and towards Seth.
Aria jumped into the chair, careful to not land on him too much. She moved so she was sitting on the arm of the chair, her tiny arms swiftly wrapping around his shoulders as best as she could. Lexie sniffle, wiping her tears on her sleeve as she held onto her dad. |
Seth cringed a little bit from the shaking of the couch. "Shh its ok you three." Seth said as Annemarie hugged him harder. Seth felt one of his ribs shift from the pressure of the three kids. Seth was in pain but he didn't care. Seth looked at Serus and mouthed "I love you." He felt Sean coming into his head. He had a very painful look on his face.
"Sorry Seth but the contractors are gonna be charging an arm and a leg to fix the house." Sean said looking at the bill. "It's fine now please don't talk to me telepathically unless its an emergency, you are killing my head." Seth said as he looked at Serus. |
Serus came over after awhile, pulling Aria gently from the couch and sat next to Seth, putting the girl on her lap. She let out a deep sigh, "Seth...you should stay here while I go look." She frowned a bit as she looked to him, "I'll take Sean with me."
Aria leaned back, then quickly turned and held onto Serus, "Noooo! Don't goooo!" |
"Serus." Seth said sounding a little disappointed. "You need your rest to." Seth said looking at her. Seth leaned his head back and hit the wall. "Ow." Seth said rubbing his head. "Fine Serus go but if you need help contact Jaelynn right away please." Seth said looking into her eyes. "Oh and can you take Felix back to the house the um contractors are there. I want some one to watch over them so they don't break anymore of my stuff." Seth said as he put his head on Serus' shoulder. Seth looked at Jaelynn hoping she would be ok with that.

Serus frowned, "You know how stubborn I can be." She bit her lip as she watched his and Aria's face, then sighed, "Fine..I'll wait..I can't resist that face"
Aria sniffled, burying her face in her mother's torn dress, "Don't go..ever..." Lexie carefully moved between Serus and Seth, curling up in a ball, "Yeeaahh..plleeassee?" |
Seth smiled and started to fall asleep. "I love all of you." Seth said as he nodded off.
*** Seth was awoken by a pounding in his head. "Gah!" Seth yelled as he grabbed his head. He fell to the floor in pain. "She's trying to get back in." Seth said cringing on the floor. "No you can't." Seth said trying to block her out. Sean felt his head throb. "Oh no." Sean said completely paralyzed. "This is not good." Sean said as he fell to his knees in pain. Felix ran up to Seth. "Who is trying to get in?" Felix asked worried. "Seth!" Felix yelled trying to help him but he didn't know how to. |
Aria and Lexie screamed slightly as they were awoken. They had also fallen asleep, like their mother and father.
Aria shook Serus as she didn't wake up when Seth fell to the floor, "Mommy! Mommy wake up!" Lexie was in full on panic, curling up tightly on the couch. Jaelynn was instantly awake, erecting a barrier around Seth's mind, cutting the creature out of his mind. "Seth, you alright?" She suddenly grabbed at her head feeling a sharp pain, falling to her knees. Serus was jolted awake by the panic from the girls and the pain from Jaelynn. She fell to the floor in surprise, "Girls, relax...please mommy's got this." Serus knew Jaelynn could handle herself when it came to a physic attack, so she left her be. "Anne, take the twins downstairs and search for Markus. He'll take you all somewhere safe. Alright?" She quickly got on her knees in front of Seth's head, placing her hands gently on his temples. "Remember the wall Seth.." She tuned her brain to the same wavelength as Seth's, cringing a bit as pain suddenly overcame her. She quickly erected a block around both their minds, launching an attack at the woman trying to invade his mind trying to banish her. |
Annemarie picked up the twins and ran down stairs looking for Markus.
"I'm trying!" Seth cringed even more from pain. Seth reinforced the wall trying to keep his mind his. Seth tried to muster up something anything to get the woman out of his head. Seth thought of something that might do it, he only did it one time before. Seth gathered up some of his energy and energy from the room and sent a bolt of lightning into the woman's head trying to stop her from breaking his wall. "Markus! Markus where are you!?" Annemarie yelled as she was running around looking for him. |
A tall, tree trunk of a man appeared in front of Annemarie, quickly crouching down, his eyes looking around around for anyone suspicious, "Ah, there you are Annemarie. Come" He wrapped his arms around her and the twins, taking them to his house down in southern Arizona. They should be safe there. "You three alright?" he asked as he stood, letting them go.
The twins nodded shakily. The force subsided briefly before coming back 'with a vengeance' Shortly after, it disappeared again. Serus let Seth go flopping backwards onto the floor with a sigh, "I don't understand this...she's obviously capable of killing us both very easily, yet..she doesnt." Jaelynn jumped to her feet the moment she was no longer dizzy, looking around, "Your guess is as good as mine." |
"Wait what?" Annemarie asked as Marcus teleported them to his house. She looked around for a second. "What the hell is going on with mom and dad?" She asked upset.
"Fuck." Seth said holding his head. "I think she is just toying with us." Seth said as he sat up. "At least she isn't going after the kids, technically." Seth said as he stood up and sat on the couch. "Those poor kids are gonna need therapy." Seth said pinching his nose. |
Serus sighed, "They're going to need more than that." She stood, sitting next to him on the couch, "How can we fight her, if we can't sense her?"
Markus shook his head, "I don't know Annemarie." |
"I'm not sure, is there any spells that could be done to track her or something?" Seth asked feeling stupid. "We need to find her before she finds us, that's for sure." Seth said rubbing his temples. Seth let out a deep sigh as he laid back on the couch.

Serus was silent a moment as she searched through the vast knowledge of spells she had. After a few minutes, she shook her head, "None that I know of. Cameila might know one. I didn't really get much training with spells..." She let out another heavy sigh, "I'm not really looking forward to dying again you know..."

Seth closed his eyes. "You wont die, I promise you that." Seth said as he opened his eyes and looked at Felix. "Is there a way you can get a hold of Camelia?" Seth asked hoping he would say yes.
"I can try but that doesn't mean she will talk to me after what happened last night." Felix said looking for a phone. "Is there a phone around?" Felix asked Jaelynn. "Felix Augustin I know what you are thinking, there is a way but you will owe me big time." Camelia said. "Oop never mind." Felix said as Camelia came through. "Will you help us this one last time?" Felix said as he looked at Seth. "Felix, Felix, Felix, this one last time. I will look through my books and I will see you soon." Camelia said in a deep tone. "Thank you Camelia." Felix said as he felt worried. "There is spell, Camelia is looking through her books and will be here soon." Felix said a little uneasy. "Hopefully this time the windows don't get blown out." Seth said as he sat up. |
Serus nodded a bit, "Mine were burned by Markus...bastard." "Markus how are they?" "They're fine...the twins are rest right now" She sat up, "Markus says the twins are resting..I'm not so sure about Annemarie though.."
Jaelynn sighed, "He may be a lot of things Serus, but a bastard isn't one of them. Now, I understand your distaste towards him, but do keep in mind he is my father and I do love him regardless." She was about to say something else, but decided not to. |
"That's good, Annemarie is probably worried sick." Seth said wondering if he should contact her or not. "Hunbun?" "Owe." Seth said grabbing his head. "I can't use my damn telepathy without my head hurting." Seth said feeling Annemarie coming in. "This is gonna hurt." Seth said bracing himself.
"Daddy are you ok?" She asked very worried. Seth winced a lot when she came through. "Ya I am fine how are you and the twins?" Seth asked hoping it wouldn't hurt as much. "They are ok and so am I, but daddy what is going on?" She asked with a little anger in her voice. You could hear a little growl come from Seth's throat. "I don't know but me and your mom are gonna figure it out, ok? Now don't contact me unless something bad happens ok?" Seth said blocking Annemarie from his mind. "I really hate doing that to her." Seth said biting his lip. "Dad!" "Damn it dad!" She yelled. "Why does he always do that to me." She said very angry. |
"Probably because you're nosy and annoying.." Markus said as he looked off to the side with a flat expression.
Serus frowned, "The stop using it. Annemarie will be fine." She then looked to Jaelynn, "I never said I hated him. He's just an ass most of the time." Jaelynn was going to retort, but she nodded, "Yeah..he is." She couldn't argue with a fact. She chuckled a bit, "I'm going to go get you two some blood from downstairs, I just had it delivered today so it's still pretty fresh. Try to not destroy anything or get in any trouble until I get back?" With that, she disappeared. |
"How dare you call me that, you ass wipe." Annemarie said as she crossed her arms.
"I will make sure she doesn't" Seth said with a slight chuckle. "I'm just kidding Serus." Seth said as he grabbed her gently and pulled her close to him. "Ahh you know what I kind of missed fighting people." Seth said with a smile. |
"I have not. I enjoy the peace and quiet...well..as much as I can get being on the Council." She sighed, kissing Seth's cheek, "You couldn't stop me even if my hands were tied." She winked, resting her head on his chest. "Nope."

"Don't forget the three tornadoes." Seth said with another laugh. Seth looked at Felix. "What's wrong you look upset." Seth asked a little concerned.
"Oh its nothing." Felix said looking down at the floor. "Felix I know your lying to me." Seth said with a puzzled look on his face. "Fine it the fact that you two have each other and the kids and I have nothing." Felix said a little down trodden. "Felix you don't have nothing you have us and I see the way you look at Camelia, why don't you ask her out?" Seth asked. "I don't like her." Felix said as his face blushed. "Felix again your lying." Seth said in a singsong way. "Ok I like her but I don't know how to ask her." Felix said a little nervous. "Just ask her, I mean not now but in a day or so." Seth said with a smile. |
Serus laughed, "How could I ever forget them.." She was silent as Seth and Felix were talking, deciding to not get involved.
Suddenly Serus bolted to her feet, her eyes scanning the area while she stretched her mind over the manor. "Jaelynn..." She scrambled out of the room, jumping over Felix's head, as he was right in her path, and headed out the door. |
"Serus, what's wrong?" Seth asked as Serus ran out of the room. "Shit! Serus!" Seth said as he ran out the door to follow her.
Felix ducked when he saw Serus running at him. "Holy!" Felix started to say but saw Seth run out the door. He didn't know what was going on but felt that he could help. |
Serus slid around the corner and jumped down the stairs, putting her hands on her knees to keep her dress from flying up in her face as she flew down the grand stairs. She landed nimbly on her feet and hurried off to the kitchen. "Jaelynn!"
When she came upon the kitchen, there was no one there. "Jae!?" Serus tore through the kitchen, looking to the conjoined dinning hall, but she still couldn't find Jaelynn. She quickly turned around, hurrying out of the kitchen but crashing into Seth, knocking them both to the floor. "Ow! Dammit Seth! Move!" She jumped up, breaking the main door to pieces with her power as she hurrying outside. Fury poured through Serus seeing the gray skinned woman on top of Jaelynn. She lunged forward, grabbing the woman by the shoulder and throwing her off, placing her hands in a fighting stance, waiting. Suddenly she found herself in the air. It was a quick and simple thing to twist and land on her feet. She stood there calmly, tilting her head a bit at Serus. She raised her pale hand, holding a sort of..smokey-looking orb, "Careful Serus..." |
Seth chased after Serus, "Ow sorry." Seth said as she ran out the door. Seth got up but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the woman. "Jae." Seth said as the woman held up the gray orb. Seth was in no condition to fight nor was Serus. Seth at least wanted to get Jaelynn out of there. He concentrated and started to liquefy the ground under Jaelynn.

Serus knocked Seth over with her telekinesis, stopping him, "Don't move her! Just..dont.." She kept her eyes focused on the gray orb, jumping when it flashed purple and vanished. "Dont!" She jumped forward, tackling the woman to the ground.
As Serus jumped forward, she quickly stepped slightly to the side, "I warned you Serus. As Serus came next to her, she grabbed her by the arm and spun once, throwing her into a large oak tree. She then appeared next to Serus as she fell from the trunk, picking her up by the neck, "Did I not?" Serus smacked into the tree with such force, it shattered the back half of her skull, causing her to almost loose consciousness. There was no way this woman was a vampire..no vampire could hope to match Serus. Her vision was extremely blurred, but she did manage to notice something. Pointed ears. "Seth..demon.." |
Seth flew backwards and landed on Felix. "Ow why is she always doing that?" Seth asked as he got up off of Felix. "Oh no." Seth said as he helped Felix up. "This woman is a Demon." Seth said as he felt Serus' skull break. Seth ran outside. "Wait! Please, leave Serus alone and fix Jaelynn. Take me please! I will do anything. I will be your slave you can even kill me but please let her and Jaelynn go." Seth said as he got down on his knees.

The woman turned her head to looked at Seth, a puzzled look on her face, "No." A forceful blast of telekinesis smashed into his body, sending him backwards. She held her free hand over Serus's heart, a little gray-pink orb slowly forming in the space between.
Serus clenched her eyes, trying to force the demon's hand away, but was unable to. "Don't you fucking touch her!" Jaelynn was suddenly standing. She was looking very pale and exhausted, but nonetheless, she managed. Her Ethereal abilities only limited to Astral Projection, but that was still a wide range of power as well. She could recast her spirit to her body, even if it was forced from her. Jaelynn's eyes glowed furiously, launching a telekinetic attack at the woman, slicing her arm clean off at the shoulder and sending it flying into the trees. "Grab...her" Suddenly she collapsed, having used all her power. The demon howled, throwing Serus into the tree again, snapping it's trunk to pieces in the process. The smokey orb dissipated over Serus's body as her spirit returned to her body. |
Seth went flying into a tree breaking his ribs again. "FUCK!" Seth yelled when he hit the tree. "Sean help!" Seth yelled as he teleported to Jaelynn, he grabbed her and teleported to Serus. Seth barely had enough power to teleport three people but he didn't care, Seth teleported all three of them inside.
Sean heard Seth yell in his head. "EVERYONE OUT NOW!" Sean yelled to get the contractors out. When the last one left Sean teleported to Seth. "Shit! Felix what is going on?" "The woman is a demon." Felix said pointing at her. "Damn." Sean said as he teleported to the woman and started to kick her. He grabbed her hands and told her mind to be sad. Annemarie ran at Markus with a knife in her hand, she got up to him but he stopped her by grabbing her hands. "Take me to my dad now!" She yelled. Annemarie knew she had another knife on her thigh, she undid it from her thigh and started to bring it up to his heart. "Bring me to him or I will kill you." Annemarie said with a new found anger. Felix pulled Jaelynn and Serus off of Seth so that they were all laying separately. Felix looked around for a sword, he found one on the wall and pulled it off of the wall. "I will pay for that later." Felix said as he ran outside to help Sean. Felix has never fought a demon before. He ran up behind her and sent the sword right through her. |
Markus snatched her wrists as she came at him, forcing her to her back on the ground, "I cannot do that. Your father gave me specific instructions to keep you here." He was not concerned about the twins, he was keeping them relaxed in their little room.
The demon growled, grabbing onto Sean's hand before he could touch her. She narrowed her eyes, throwing him aside into Felix as she sensed him coming at her. She then disappeared, appearing next to Seth and lifting him up from the floor. |
Sean flew into Felix. "Damn that bitch is strong." Sean said rubbing his chest.
"I know." Felix said looking towards Seth. "Seth!" Felix said not knowing what to do. Seth grunted when the woman picked him up. "What... Do... You... Want?" Seth asked in between winces. |
The demon scrunched her nose slightly. She sighed, "Shut up whelp. I may have not been able to finish off your spirit last time, but this time I will not fail." She threw him to the floor, driving her knees in his sides to hold him still. She held her hand over his heart, but frowned. "What the.."
She looked to the blonde vampire as she opened her eyes, "You!" She jumped onto Jaelynn. punching her hard in the forehead, knocking her unconscious, "Clearly, I must recalculate." With that, she vanished. |
Seth groaned when he landed on the floor. Seth screamed out in pain when she jammed her knees into is ribs breaking them even more. Seth started to crawl over to Jaelynn "Jae are you ok?" He got no response but he knew she was still alive. He tried to crawl over to Serus but passed out from the pain.
Sean got up and ran in by Seth. "Seth? Jaelynn? Serus?" Sean shook all of them, he could tell that they were all alive. "Felix get in here!" Sean yelled as he picked up Seth. Felix got up and ran inside. "Oh dear are they ok?" Felix asked concerned. "They are alive, but they are unconscious, grab one of them we need to get them upstairs." Sean said as he started up the stairs. "Ok." Felix said as he grabbed Serus. He headed upstairs. Sean put Seth in one of the empty rooms. "Put Serus in here with Seth." Sean said as he teleported to get Jaelynn. Felix put Serus on the bed next to Seth. "This is not good." Sean teleported back upstairs and put Jaelynn on the couch in the room. "We need to get some blood in them now." Sean said as he teleported to the kitchen. Sean grabbed all of the blood out of the fridge, and teleported back to the room. "Here." Sean said as he handed two bottles of blood to Felix. |
When Serus was set down, she had barely regained consciousness. Her face became contorted with pain and she quickly rolled to her belly with her arms around her torso. She buried her face in the pillow and screamed. After a moment, she had passed out again, the pain overloading her brain.
Jaelynn awoke as Serus was suddenly yelling. Her body ached beyond her wildest imagination, but she could not fall back into the sweet bliss of unconsciousness. She sluggishly opened her eyes, muttering something incomprehensible. |
"Jaelynn shh, here have some blood." Sean said as he put the bottle of blood up to her mouth.
"Serus!" Felix said as he ran over to her. "Are you ok?" Felix asked but he got no response. "I'm sorry Seth but Serus needs it first." Felix said as he gently turned Serus over and put the bottle of blood up to her mouth. "No, no, NO!" Seth yelled as he jolted awake. He screamed in pain when he sat up. Seth fell back on the pillow and passed out again. |
Jaelynn tried to grab onto the bottle, but failed miserably, rather, smacking Sean in the face on accident. She muttered something along the lines of an apology. She let her head fall back, letting her mouth fall open slightly as Sean poured the blood down her throat. After a moment, she opened her eyes, "Are they..okay?"

Sean rubbed his cheek, knowing that it was an accident. "They will be fine they just need to rest and some blood." Sean said as he opened up another bottle of blood for Jaelynn.

She placed her hand on her head, taking the bottle and quickly emptying it, "What the...hell happened?" She shut her eyes with a groan, "Ooohh...mmyy..body hurts." Her arm fell dropping the bottle as she fell back asleep.
*** Serus suddenly awoke in the middle of the night to find the others sleeping soundly. She grabbed her head gently as it began to throb, "Ooowww" She wondered how long she was unconscious, and judging by how healed up she was, she would say at least 2 days. "What happened?" she whispered to herself. |
Sean saw Jaelynn wake up, he got up and walked over to the couch. "To tell you the truth, I really don't know you, Serus, and Seth were knocked out when I got here. It was the woman who has been watching Seth and Serus. Felix and I tried to stop her but she kicked our asses with only one hand." Sean said looking at Felix. "Do you need any more blood?" Sean asked getting ready to go and get more blood.
*** Felix heard Serus wake up. "Shh Serus be careful." Felix said as he walked up to the bed. "Its been two days, do you need or want anything?" Felix asked trying not to wake anyone up. "There is no more blood in the fridge but I can run out and get some." Felix said as he gently sat down on the bed. Seth heard Felix and Serus talking. "At least everyone is ok." Seth thought to himself. He wondered what time it was, he wanted to sit up but his abdomen was still in a lot of pain. "Felix what time is it, and don't let Serus know I am awake." Seth said even thought he knew she could probably hear him. Felix nonchalantly looked at his watch. "It is about 3:30 a.m. Why don't you want Serus to know you are awake? Felix asked wondering. "I just can't, I feel bad that I wasn't able to help her more." Seth said moving a little bit to ease the pain on his abdomen. |
