After a little while longer, Blaze nodded and decided to share. "David was Nic's biological younger half-brother. He died almost a year ago from a rare, incurable genetic disorder."
Wolfe froze a little, something flashing before his eyes as they distanced and he forgot Blaze was there.
"... Wolfe?" Blaze asked, wondering how much he had heard.
A look of complete revulsion crossed Wolfe's face before he turned emotionless. Then he focused back on Blaze.
Blaze frowned a little. "... It's not that disgusting," Blaze noted quietly.
Wolfe didn't respond to that and instead asked, "Is there anything else I should know?" he asked.
Blaze thought about it briefly. "David was mostly unknown until later in Nic's career at the Yin Long and only to one or two people. Apparently most of the money Nic made went to David's medical expenses... That's pretty much all that was in the report."
Wolfe nodded slightly and then stood to leave.
Blaze didn't say anything as Wolfe left.
Wolfe immediately began searching for Raven.
Raven wasn't too difficult to find.
Raven could tell there was something wrong, very wrong. "We need to get Laurel away from him," he stated.
Raven frowned. "What is it?" he asked Wolfe.
Wolfe didn't looked inclined to say but a wave of disgusted flashed across his face once more.
Raven's frown deepened. "... Ryugi?" he asked quietly.
Wolfe actually looked like he might throw up for a moment but then it passed. "I made a mistake... letting him in with us," he whispered.
Raven slowly put a hand on Wolfe's arm, not saying anything.
Wolfe shook his head, "I... cant let him stay around Frei," he whispered.
Raven squeezed Wolfe's arm a little tighter, not wanting to believe the implication.
"I can't, Raven," he whispered, "We have to tear Laurel away from him."
"... Are you sure?" Raven asked Wolfe quietly.
Wolfe pursed his lips, he didn't want to go any deeper in this. He knew Nic deserved a chance to explain... but explain what exactly? Wolfe didn't want to know any more.
Raven rubbed Wolfe's arm a little.
Wolfe cussed a little, "Fine," he hissed, "I'll give him two minutes to explain. Them I'm kicking him out."
Raven sighed a little, but he was clearly stressed out too. But if Nic was gonna... well, wouldn't something have already happened? He shivered a little.
"Incest..." Wolfe whispered forcefully, "is something I will not tolerate. I just worked Frei out of that dark pit... Nic can go to hell."
Raven's eyes widened a little before grabbing Wolfe's head and putting it on his shoulder. "... And don't you dare go there either," he whispered, worried.
Wolfe shuttered a little.
Raven rubbed Wolfe's back a bit, trying to comfort him. But he couldn't stop himself from shuttering a little.
Wolfe let himself be held for awhile before pulling away, "I think... Laurel deserves to be told. But I couldn't," he told Raven quietly.
Raven swallowed, clearly not wanting to be the one to tell her.
Wolfe nodded, "Maybe... you should take her on a trip..." he suggested quietly, "A long trip. While we deal with this situation."
Raven took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "... Where should I take her?" he asked quietly.
Wolfe was quiet for a long moment, "To Toby," he decided, "Pretend you're stranded out there, she'd buy it. I'll come get you when things are settled here."
Raven paused for a moment before nodding slowly.
Wolfe took a deep breath, "Go find Laurel, I need to speak with the others."
Raven nodded again before he seemed to think of something. "Really quick," he told Wolfe as he motioned for Wolfe to follow.
Wolfe followed silently.
Raven went into his room, leaving the door open for Wolfe. He got down on the ground by his bed and pulled the box he had bought at the village out from underneath it.
Wolfe didn't respond but continued to watch.
