The aura from Nic got really dark before Rosen left. But he didn't move.
|
Rosen shut the door behind him before going to find Wolfe with a skip in his step. Wolfe soon checked to see in Raven and Laurel were back yet.
|
Raven was still out having fun with Laurel.
|
So Wolfe waited patiently for their return.
|
When Laurel started to tire out, Raven took her back to the resort.
|
(lol I randomly check the page at the exact moment you post)
Laurel had really spent it up, buying some new clothes and presents for Nic. "I can't wait him to see it all," she giggled as she stepped off the boat. Wolfe was there to meet them, Laurel seemed to tense up a little as she saw Wolfe. "I'm.. um... going to see Nic, bye RayRay," she said quietly, using her new nickname for him as she scurried off. Wolfe looked a little confused at her reaction to him but shook it off as he focused at Raven. |
Raven seemed a little confused at Laurel's reaction too as he watched her run off. "Huh," he mused before turning back to Wolfe.
|
"Rosen's done and wants to share what he found out," Wolfe explained.
So Laurel went to Nic's room and knocked cheerfully on the door. |
"... Alright," Raven replied, curious.
-- There was no reply and the door was locked. But after a minute, there were footsteps, and Nic answered the door looking like his normal self. |
So Wolfe led Raven to Rosen's room where he appeared to have just gotten out of the shower. "He looked at both of them before grinning and motioning to the couch.
-- Laurel blinked when there was no answer and was just turning to leave when Nic opened the door. Her face instantly lit up, "Oh, hey!" she greeted him as she tried to step inside his room, bags in her hands. |
So Raven went to sit down.
-- Nic let Laurel, closing the door behind her. |
Rosen stood in front of them, "So... the winner of the bet is..." he paused for dramatic effect, "Raven!" Wolfe looked very confused.
-- Laurel set the bags down on the bed before taking a seat, "I hope you like what I got you," she smiled, a little uncertain, "I got as close to your style as I could." |
Raven nodded, not too surprised.
-- Nic's expression didn't change as he clicked a few more things on the laptop before walking over to see what she had bought. |
"He's definitely been with a man before, no doubt about it," Rosen nodded.
Wolfe blinked, "Rosen..." Rosen shrugged, "I know you told me to keep it simple... but I haven't had that much fun in a long time," he grinned. Wolfe rubbed his temple. -- A few new, nicer shirts that would be perfect in the humidity. A few jackets and a nice pair of pants. And a hat. "You'll look so cool," Laurel grinned, "And see, if you wear the jacket, no one can see your scars and you can still show off those perfect abs," she stuck her tongue out happily. Boy, she was in a good mood. |
Raven blinked, glancing between Wolfe and Rosen. "What?" he asked.
-- Nic blinked looking at the clothes. Laurel could tell he was a little impressed with her judgement. |
Rosen's grin grew, "We went all the way, baby~" he announced.
Wolfe sighed, "Laruel must not find out about this..." "Of course not," Rosen scoffed, "Who do you think I am? Snow?" -- Laurel beamed at the inherent praise. "I also found lots of yummy ingredients for one wicked Thai meal," she informed him with a wink. |
Raven's jaw dropped open a bit in silent shock before he cussed. "Really?" he asked Rosen.
-- Nic looked just about as excited as he always did. But he nodded in acknowledgement. |
Rosen shrugged, "Yep, it was all too easy. It's obvious Nic's been seduced before. He clearly liked it but was adamant that he wasn't bi.
Wolfe looked thoughtful. "Also, he name dropped. Some dude named David. There's definitely something wrong with that guy's mind though. Very dark dirt," Rosen continued. -- Laurel grabbed Nic's hand, "So what were you up too while Raven and I had fun? Sitting at your computer all day?" she chuckled. |
Raven thought about it for awhile. "... Do we have any idea who that is?" he asked. "Maybe David has some insight on Nic."
-- Nic glanced at the clock like he hadn't realized the time. He nodded. |
"Well it's someone who seduced Nic in the past... and someone Nic hates with a vengeance. When I mentioned that he'd named dropped he got dark and brooding," Rosen elaborated.
"We could ask Ming Yue," Wolfe stated quietly. -- Laurel shook her head and teased, "You and that computer of yours... Are you hungry?" |
Raven shrugged, not sure where else to look.
-- Nic shook his head. |
"Have James ask Yue or something," Rosen suggested.
Wolfe slowly shook his head, "Those two... are not on good terms." -- "Is there anything you want to do?" she asked a little playfully. |
"Really?" Raven asked, upset that he was behind on the gossip.
-- Nic shook his head, not catching on. |
Wolfe nodded.
"But back to Nic," Rosen replied, "I don't think he should be with Laurel until he gets this worked out." Wolfe nodded again, "Raven and I have discussed this as well." -- Laurel's smile faded a little, "Nothing?" she tried again. |
"... Uh..." Raven muttered.
-- Nic tried to put some more thought into it. "... Like...?" he asked, trying to get another hint. |
"Especially if he's seduced so easily," Rosen drawled, "He'll only hurt Laurel."
Wolfe glanced at him, "Seduction by you is hardly fair," he replied. -- "Something we can do to help you relax," Laurel replied. |
Raven nodded, agreeing with Wolfe. "But about the other thing," he noted before they got too side tracked. "It... might be a little late..."
-- Nic tried to think back to the last time she had used that word. "... You want to rub lotion on my back?" he guessed, not too confident in his assessment. |
"Just for a little while, until we get a better picture of Nic," Rosen replied.
"If Nic upsets her again... she might run back to the Okorie. We cannot let that happen," Wolfe stated, "She's already hiding something from us. -- Laurel seemed a little taken aback, "... Would that help?" she asked. |
"... As in, they've already done it," Raven clarified before putting a hand on his head and cussing a little. "... And now she's in a really good mood."
-- "... Help?" Nic asked, getting lost. |
"If she ever finds out about this, she'll go crazy," Wolfe said quietly.
"Let's just figure out who David is first," Rosen suggested. -- "Would that help you relax?" Laurel replied patiently. |
"... Should we keep distracting her in the mean time?" Raven suggested.
-- Nic thought about it a moment. "But that's not what you were thinking," he noted. |
Wolfe paused, "Perhaps," he replied.
Rosen yawned. -- "I don't really care as long as it's with you," Laurel smiled kindly. |
"You do it," Raven told Rosen. "I've already spent half the day with her. I'll see if I can get anything out of Yue."
-- "... But what were you thinking?" Nic asked. |
Rosen rolled his eyes, "I don't even know Laurel," he whined, looking at Wolfe. Wolfe shook his head. Rosen complained some more.
-- Laurel shrugged a little. The smile was fading again. |
Raven blinked, wondering if Rosen was this winy all the time.
-- Nic tried to think a little faster. "... Did you want to dance again?" Maybe she had meant the opposite of what she said - something to help her relax. |
Wolfe finally shut him up with a look. Rosen continued to pout.
-- Laurel shrugged, still holding his hand. |
Raven managed not to chuckle. Frei was better behaved than Rosen.
-- After a moment, Nic took the shrug as a yes. And since she was still holding his hand he presumed she didn't care about changing clothes. "... Salsa or ballroom?" he asked as he picked up his pad, trying to find some music. |
It looked like Wolfe was getting a headache.
-- Laurel raised an eyebrow, "You choose." |
Raven wanted to comfort him a bit, but they hadn't discussed pda yet.
-- Nic struggled for a moment as he tried to make a choice. Eventually he guessed, "... Salsa...?" |
Wolfe finally stood, "Raven, you'll take to Ming Yue?" he clarified.
-- Laurel shrugged, but a smile slipped across her lips. |
