Dark blinked at Alexander's comment, "My dreams are really a curse, they are merely a part of life. I don't think they are possible to get rid of." Maybe there was a drug or something, but he did not want to take any drugs. "And I can be happy eeven with my dreams."
he had nothing to say to that and so he said nothing, instead he leaned down and gave the other a chaste kiss. he pulled away. "that is what is right and good" he reassured himself with the kiss. he would not lose himself to doubt. he was his lord's prince.
Dark gave Alexander a smile, "Yes, now should we continue on or stay here?" He was lightly teasing, he knew they would eventually return to their trek. The way the conversation had turned though and set him off his comfort zone.
he looked up and out towards the direction they had been going "we should continue" he stood up and brushed himself off then picked up dark and brushed him as well "we must be home before sunset and i do not know how long the journey is"
"The walk sould only take 15-20 more minutes, but we might want to take our time at the town." Dark explained having walked thw route enough times to get a general idea on how long it takes to traverse. "When we return we can take the shorter route and save some time."
he nodded. it was good to have plenty of time to get things done, he smiled then and took the other's hand "the bridge then?"
"To the bridge." Dark agreed then started walking again. The bridge came into view quickly and Dark speed up slightly at the sight of it. It meant the trek was 3/4 done.
it was not large or complicated and did not span much farther than a few feet across a cheery brook but in it's simplicity he saw his lord, i was well made and had nothing more to it than it needed. he smiled. it was a bridge he was proud to know came from the other's hands he tightened his grip as they crossed off of his lord's land and into unknown territory
Dark felt the other's grip tighten as they walked over the bridge. The path was much easier now and warn as though many other people traversed it regularily. With the path easy Alexander was not tripping at all. All to soon they arrived at the edge of town and Alexander asked, "Where do you want to go first?"
"the market?" he had already forgotten what they had come for
"The market it is then." Dark said making a mental note to stop by the library afterwards. "Anything in particular you want, or is it just to browse?"
he opened his mouth to ask about weapons or the witch's stall but remembered that there was no magic here. he closed his mouth and shook his head. he had no other preferences.
as they walked through town he was awed, nothing looked right to him, there were no shacks or sky-scrapers, no shuttles or caves, nothing normal at all. he gripped the other's hand tightly and walked as close as he could |
Dark could not help but wounder what had set the other off. Akexab=nder was acting more clingy then usual, and not while he minded he would like to ease his discomfort if possible. "SOmething wrong, Alexander?" He asked.
"the town looks strange" he tried to stand straighter and look less intimidated, he did not want to seem a coward "it is nothing, really"
"Different set up then your used to or is it the buildings?" He had not seen manu buildings besides these and so had grown accustom to them but he supposed that they would look odd to another. Dark made a turn still holding Alexander's hand.
"the buildings, i have never read a story with ones like these" he looked out over the short brick and stone buildings, all were uniform in size and all falling in the categories of brown or white in color
"No a surprise." Dark agreed, "Unless you like history books. Most authors never write about cookie cutter builings." To boring and not captivating enough, apparently.
"why not? they are so strange and uniform, not at all like a space tower or a hovel, this is so novel looking" he did have to admit when the strange symatry of it was gotten over this place did look very interesting "though, where are the stalls and the people?"
"We aren't to market, yet." He explained. "Our market is rather small, only taking up enough space for a house." It is a local maket and hardly a super one. "And ours is all one store, not stalls."
he blinked "a shop then?" he wondered if it'd look like the other buildings or if it would sit out odd
"Yes, a shop." Dark says happy the other understands. "And you'll know which one it is because it syas on the front of the building."
"i will?" he blinked at the other. but if his lord said so then it was so
"Yes, the people who named it where very unoriginaal and have called it
'Savay Store' it makes it obvious that it is a store." Dark explains simply. |
he nodded even though he did not understand
Dark lead Alexander quickly through the the streets of the town. He knew where he was going having read the dirrections many times before now. He hoped it was actually as easy as he said it was, he had never actually gone there before. His supplies had always been brought to him.
he could not understand what he was looking floor, this building seemed no different from the others, only the sign gave it away
When Dark spotted it he almost backed away. It was much different then he had visulized it but it was obviously the place they were looking for. A large neon sign proclaimed it was "Savay Store" and had colorfull advertisements in the windows.
he looked at the other his mouth slipping into a frown "are you alright?"
Dark told a straight out lie, "I'm fine." He said it dismissivly it just had not been what he had expected.
he did not like the way the other turned from him but he did not question it. "should we go in or turn back?"
( mi aculpa )
"Go in, I guess." Dark said uneasily. He was still highly uncomfortable with people but he could bear it. |
his face fell into a worried line. if his lord said go he would go. tightening his fingers around the other's he stepped inside
Dark followed the other silently. He was asulted by the smells and sounds of a busy market. Dark was pleased to note it had the smell of fresh fish but that was about it. He would now make sure to give his delivery man a tip, he never wanted to experience this again.
(delivery lady XD )
he could see nothing wrong but the other was visibly on edge, it made him more and more nervous and wound that finally he could not take it. he pulled the boy tight and wrapped his arms around him fully, he whispered softly into his lord's ear "we can leave, i don't want you afraid" |
(Whose name I can't remember XD I have it written down somewhere, can't find it though)
Dark started when the other wrapped his arms around him. "No, it is okay." He told Alexander quitly. "I'm just not used to people." Even the five other people in the store made him uncomfortable. Their stares where not helpong and only served to remind Dark of why he did not go out. |
(the lady who hit on alexander XD )
he held the boy closer and stared aggressively out at every eye that caught his. the people scattered and he looked back down at his lord "they are gone" |
(And was rejected. :D )
Dark had noticed them scatter when ALexander had looked at them and hoped that the store management would not throw them out for getting rid of costomers. "Thanks." Dark was not sure if he should truely be thankful for causing others to leave, but it did make him personally more comfortable. |
he relaxed his hold "you are welcome"
Dark slipped mostly out of Alexander's hold but still held his hand. "What were we here for again?" He asked sheepishly.
he shook his head and squeezed the hand reassuringly "i am not sure"
