"What friends? What family? I have no one." She said kneeling down.
"Damn it. Stay here Amanda I will be right back." Holden said as he got up and walked outside to Beth. He sighed, "Look Beth I'm not mad at you anymore for what you did. I'm sorry that you drove your family away, because well you basically raped me. But you can't go on hating me for not loving you in the way you wanted." Holden sighed as he kneeled down in front of her. "Before I go back to England I will help find you a psychologist, to help work out your anger and maybe possibly get your family back. Look here is my number, call me in a few days. By then I will have someone lined up for you." He said as he pulled out a scratch piece of paper and a pen. He wrote down his number and handed her the paper. He stood up, "Let's go Solomon." Holden said as he put his arm around Solomon's waist and headed back inside. |
Solomon sighed, but followed Holden anyway, "She deserves to be hit for hitting you.." He sat down as they got to their table, a mildly annoyed look on his face.

"No Solomon, I don't care that she hit me. So you shouldn't either, ok?" Holden said as he took a drink of OJ. "Oh are you gonna come with me to my meeting or what?" He asked as the waiter came back with their food, and coffee. "Thank you sir." Holden said with a smile. "Now Amanda don't make to much of a mess ok?" He said as he took a bite of his toast.
"I wont." Amanda said with a slight pout. Holden held back laughing. |
Solomon shook his head, "No I don't think I will...just be cautious." He took a drink of the coffee, wincing a bit at the taste. He preferred his homemade coffee. He would drink it nonetheless, but it still tasted odd to him.

"I will." Holden said with a wink. "Alicia can you come over to my house and help Solomon watch my sister while I meet with the lawyers?" He asked as he finished his toast.
"Ya I will but you owe me big time." Alicia said with a smile. "Ya I know, but when we get back I will buy you a car." Holden said with a smile. "You better." She said squeezing his brain gently. *** After Amanda finished eating Holden paid and headed home. "Hey Amanda, guess who is gonna be watching you with Solomon." He said looking in the review mirror. "Who?" She asked very perky. "Alicia." He said with a smile. "Yay" She said throwing her hands up. |
Solomon sat quietly in the car, "You're so materialistic sometimes Alicia." He chuckled in her head slightly, glancing over to watch the people walk as they drove by. He suddenly became stiff as he saw a particular brunette woman; her eyes glowing red. He knew that she knew he saw her. There was no doubt, but he couldn't just teleport from the car, not with Amanda in the car. He bit his lip, unsure if he should tell Holden as he looked away, his body now appearing to be relaxed.

"I know." Alicia said with a smile.
Holden noticed that Solomon tense up, "What's wrong?" He asked concerned. *** Holden arrived at his house, "Well here we are." He said as he got out of the car. "Alicia!" Amanda yelled as she ran at Alicia. "Hey Amanda." Alicia said as she bent down and gave Amanda a hug. "How are you?" Amanda asked sweetly. "I'm good, how are you?" She asked with a smile. "I'm better now that your here." She said hugging Alicia again. "Ok Amanda be good for Alicia and Solomon while I am gone, ok?" Holden said patting Amanda on the head. He walked over to Solomon and gave him a kiss on the lips. "You be good to." He said with a smile. Amanda waved good bye to Holden. Holden got into the limo. |
Solomon shook his head, "Nothing." He kissed Holden as he left, then turned to Alicia, "I'm sorry, but I have to go. I think Jaclynn might be following Holden..." He gave Alicia a quick hug, "I'll try to not be gone long." With that he hurried out the door and disappeared once he was out of Amanda's sight.
*** Solomon reappeared where he last saw Jaclynn on their way to the house. He kept the humans around unaware of him while he looked, he didn't need them to notice a man suddenly appearing from no where. "Jaclynn I know you're here." |
"Oh great." Alicia said sarcastically. "You better not, she's gonna be living with you so you need to get to know her." She said with a wave.
"Bye Solomon." Amanda waved sweetly. *** "I really don't wanna do this." Holden said as the limo pulled up to the law-firm. He got out of the car and was instantly rushed by lawyers giving him condolences. |
"Aw, can't I go for a walk without having you bothering me?" She turned around and walked over to Solomon with a dark smile. "Aw, come now Solomon, don't look so grumpy. It doesn't suit you."
Solomon narrowed his eyes, "Don't talk to me like you're my friend Jaclynn." He launched a telekinetic attack at her, sending her flying back into the street as a semi-trailer came by. It ran her over, but of course, she survived. He expected nothing less, "This is your last warning. Leave Holden alone." With that, he disappeared, reappearing by the door, and entering. "Sorry about that." |
"What did you do?" Alicia asked as she played with Amanda.
Amanda walked over to Solomon, "You a very quiet person aren't you?" She asked tilting her head. "Now wonder my brother likes you hes quiet too." She said with a smile. "You shouldn't be so forward about it." Alicia said with a apologetic face. |
"Don't worry about it Alicia," he said, addressing bother her question and her scolding Amanda. He looked down to the girl with a shrug, "I'm normally much more talkative...I've just got a lot on my mind right now." He sat down on the couch, crossing one leg over the other.

"You can tell me I am a great listener." She said rushing over to the couch. She sat down next to Solomon. "Since brother left I haven't had anyone to talk to." Amanda said looking down. "Did he show you the picture he painted of me?" She asked as her eyes beamed. "He said I was the best person he painted." Amanda said still excited. "I didn't think that Holden loved me anymore, because at mommy's funeral he didn't say much to me." She said looking down again. "But the old Holden is back, and he loves me again." Amanda said very happy.

Solomon smiled, "I don't think you'd understand Hun, no offense. It' just..complicated. And Holden's always loved you. Back in England he couldn't stop worrying about you and Steve." He gently placed his hand on Amanda's head, "Even if he were to try, he could never stop loving you. You're far too precious to him."

Amanda smiled.
*** The limo pulled up to Holden's house. He got out and went inside. "God that was brutal." He said closing the door. "Holden!" Amanda said running up to him and giving him a hug. "Hey kiddo." He said with a smile as he picked her up. "Why don't you go take a nap I need to talk to Solomon and Alicia." He said as he set Amanda down. "But I..." She said with a pout. "No don't give me the pout, now go, we can play later ok?" He said with a smile. "Fine." She said as she ran to the stairs. Holden walked over to the couch and sat down with a large exhale. |
Solomon put him arm around Holden's shoulders, pulling him close for a quick kiss, "Was it really that bad?" He could sense Holden's stress with a frown.

Holden kissed Solomon back, "Oh god yes, I have ownership of the firm but I can only collect 70% of the profits, I had to sign over the other 30% over to the new runner of the place. I now have two hundred and fifty million dollars in my bank account. Which I need to set fifty of that aside for Amanda. I have to sell this house, I have to do a lot of things before we go back." He said with a sigh. He leaned his head on Solomon's chest, "My dad said that this was gonna be very simple, and it is not." He said closing his eyes for a moment. "Will you two come with me I need to go get my dad's cars out of storage so I can have them shipped back home." Holden said still keeping his eyes closed.
"Ya I will help you but what about Amanda?" Alicia asked looking at the ceiling. "I have a sitter coming over in forty five minutes." Holden said extremely exhausted. |
Solomon sighed, "I'm sorry that this is so stressful." He frowned a bit, "You don't need to ask me twice Holden. Of course I'll go. I can't pass up seeing some beautiful cars"

Holden smiled, "Well while we wait can I just sit here and rest for a few?" He asked not opening his eyes.
*** Thirty minutes passed when he woke up, "Damn she's early." He said as he sat up. He got up and went to the door, he opened it, "Hi Maggy." He said with a smile. "Ah Holden, its so good to see you and I am very sorry to hear about your dad." She said as she gave him a hug. "Its good to see you to, and thank you." He said returning the hug. "Amanda is upstairs napping, I will be back in about an hour but I will pay you for a full day since I called you late." He said with a smile. "You don't have to." She said with a smile. "Yes I do." He said with a smile. "Let us be off Solomon and Alicia." He said waving them out the door. |
Solomon stood, smoothing his vest and straightening his tie, "Very well." He followed Holden out the door, shoving his hands in his pockets. He was very much on edge, as he had a feeling that Jaclynn was nearby again. He kept his mind blocked off from Holden and Alicia so they wouldn't glean the information from him on accident. No matter how anxious he was, his appearance was ever calm, "How many cars does your dad own?"

"Well counting the Corvette, two more a Lamborghini and a Audi." He said as he got into the car. Holden started the car and went to the storage place. "By the way Alicia you are driving my car." He said with a smile.
"Oh come on I wanna drive the Audi." Alicia said with a pout. "No they are my cars now and I get to decide who drives them." He said as he got on the highway. "I hate you, and don't you even think about speeding." She said looking for something to grab onto. "Its not speeding its driving faster then everyone else." He said with an evil smile as he floored it, skipping gears until he was going 100 MPH. He was weaving in and out of traffic with ease. He arrived at the storage place faster then he expected. "Well it's time to get these baby's home." He said as he handed the key for the Lamborghini to Solomon. He opened the door, "The Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder and the Audi R8. God they are so beautiful." He said drooling a little bit. "Oh ya here is the key to my Mustang." Holden said tossing the key to Alicia. "Thanks." Alicia said jealous of Solomon and Holden. |
Solomon took the keys, unlocking the car doors with the remote, "Where are we heading? Your place or..?" He admired the car for a short moment before opening the door and sitting in the seat. He didn't start the car yet, waiting for Holden's response.

"My place, the truck will be there tomorrow to take them to the freight boat in New London. Don't let me forget to grab my dad's stuff out of the Corvette." Holden said as he got into the Audi. He started the car and listened to it pur for a few moments before he drove out of the storage garage.
Alicia was really jealous of Holden and Solomon. She got into the mustang and drove off to Holden's house. |
Solomon nodded, starting the car, "See you at home," He winked, peeling out of the garage and towards Holden's house. He weaved in and out of traffic glancing int he review mirror to see if Holden was behind him. It was probably a good thing that Holden was not at the moment; as what was about to happen next would have the poor boy crying.
Suddenly, and he knew it was Jaclynn's doing, Solomon smelled something familiar. White, hot metal. Fuck... "She's at it again" He quickly teleported himself from the car just as it turned into a massive ball of fire and shrapnel. He tumbled on the black top, quickly rolling out of the way of oncoming cars. People screamed and fled, cars crashed into each other, suddenly exploding in the same manner Solomon's cars did. Solomon quickly moved back, watching the scene play out, rather surprised. What was Jaclynn doing? Were she after Holden, she would've killed him at his meeting with the Firm...or at least, that what he would've done if he were in her shoes. So..what was her aim in this? Why was she trying to kill him? "Holden..I..don't think she's after you..." |
"Don't you fucking tell me that, that is my car." Holden said as he stopped a few feet behind Solomon on the side of the road. "Oh my fucking god!" He said as he got out of the car. "That was my dad's favorite car." He said as he bent down. "I am so gonna fucking kill her." He said as he punched the road and shattering it. "When we get back to England you are training me to fight." Holden said with fiery red eyes.

Solomon shook his head, "You are not to go anywhere near her Holden, do you understand? I know how you feel, believe me, but you have to let me and Alicia handle this. You're barely past a fledgling..you stand no chance against her. Alright?"
Suddenly he teleported a few feet to the side, grabbing a young girl, of perhaps maybe 8 years. He teleported the both of them to the side walk just as two cars crashed into each other where the girl once stood. For a moment, everyone forgot about the crash and the burning cars, watching Solomon with fearful eyes. He let the girl go, Shit..I should've thought that through... Solomon appeared next to Holden as another car exploded, causing the humans to turn their attention. He growled, his eyes turning black, a massive amount of energy suddenly rolling of Solomon... |
"Fine but you need to teach me how to fight so I can when the time is right." Holden said as Solomon saved a little girl. "Solomon we need to go, if Jaclynn is smart at all the only way to get to you is to get to me. Amanda!" He said as he gathered up his power to teleport home. He appeared at his front door and went rushing in. "Oh my god Maggy," He said as he looked around for Alicia. He knew she was there, "Alicia?!" He yelled as he teleported to where he felt her. "Oh no Alicia." He said as he rushed over to the bed. She was still alive but barely. He looked around and noticed that he was in Amanda's room. "Amanda!" He yelled as he sniffed for her, he couldn't pick up her smell at all.
"I'm sorry Holden I tried to stop her, but she was too powerful." Alicia said weakly. "You... You tried, thank you for that but if Jaclynn kills my sister I will rip her fucking throat out." Holden said as his eyes turned black. |
Solomon followed Holden, immediately teleporting to Amanda. He sighed, his blackened eyes looking around, "Kidnapping is not Jaclynn's thing...What are you up to Jaclynn?" He hurried over to Alicia, "Holden you two need to get out here right now." He quickly hauled Alicia up and handed her to Holden,"Go!"

Alicia cringed when she was picked up. "My house." She said still very weak.
Holden nodded at Solomon and Alicia. He teleported to Alicia's house across the street. "I should of taken Amanda with me. From this point on she will not leave my sight." He said as he gently laid Alicia down on the couch. "I meant my house in England. It's not your fault Holden." She said cringing again. "How can it not be my fault? She is my responsibility and I tossed her aside for cars." He said beating himself up. "Listen, you have a lot going on right now you can't do everything and be everywhere at once. You may be a vampire but your not superman." She said slightly sitting up. "I need to protect her, I can't believe I let this happen." He said rubbing his head. "Where is the council located?" Holden asked looking at Alicia. "Hell no Holden you are not going to talk to the council. To them this matter would be considered 'frivolous'. Alicia said as he body started to heal. |
Jaclynn appeared behind Holden, grabbing onto him with her hands. She held him tightly, suppressing his power, grinning darkly, her face lingering by his ear. "You're forgetting one minor detail Holden...I am part of the Council." Before she could say anything else, something tugged at her causing the both of them to fall backwards; seconds later, the two were back at Holden's house before Solomon's feet.
Solomon looked down at her with dark eyes, "I will make you beg for death Jaclynn." He grabbed Holden by the shoulders, quickly; but gently, hauling him off and moving him to the side. |
Before Holden knew what was going on he was grabbed from behind. "I don't..." He started to say, but found himself before Solomon's feet. He wanted to say something but he let Solomon do the talking. He caught Amanda's sent from Jaclynn. He wanted to teleport back to Alicia but he did not know if Solomon wanted him there or not.

Jaclynn shuffled to her feet, "H-how did you do that?!" She looked around, knowing she had sensed Solomon's power around her, but..there was no way he could teleport another person without him being in physical contact with them. She looked to Holden, "You..you must've helped him" she said as she lunged forward. She would have to take care of Holden first; the two were rather sneaky.
Solomon's hand flung out, grabbing Jaclynn by the wrist as she jumped forward. He spun her in the air one revolution, then slammed her to the floor, stomping his foot on her head, holding her down, "I am perfectly capable of teleporting anyone and anything anywhere I desire...and I do mean anywhere Jaclynn." |
Holden flinched back when he saw Jaclynn come at him. He couldn't help but have an evil smirk on his face, thinking of places to send her.
"Holden you should get out of there." Alicia said. "I don't know if Solomon wants me here or not." Holden said looking at the bitch known as Jaclynn on the floor. |
Jaclynn bent her back in a direction it should not be able to go, bringing her feet around and kicking Solomon hard in the chest, sending him flying thanks to the aid of some telekinesis. She quickly got to her feet, pouncing Solomon and pinning him to the ground, "Oh, you should know better than to wear metal around me Sol." She threw her hand at his belt, grabbing onto it for a second before letting go and jumping back as it burned white hot and exploded.
Solomon moved to kick her off when she suddenly grabbed his belt buckle. He quickly teleporting, making sure to leave that article behind as it exploded into flames and sent little pieces of metal flying everywhere. He reappeared standing behind Jaclynn, "Oh come now, you'll have to step up your game you know." Jaclynn laughed slightly, jumping forward and grabbing onto his shirt, her nails cutting his skin slightly as she clenched her fist around the fabric, "Metals are not my only specialty Solomon." She drove her power through the wounds in his chest, wrapping it around his bones and quickly adjusting the chemical make-up to make the various elements conflict with one another. She winked, "Try and survive this, love" With that, she disappeared. |
Holden got knocked back a little bit from Solomon's arm. He blocked his face when the buckle exploded. None of the metal him him, he rushed over to Solomon when Jaclynn disappeared. "Solomon are you ok?" He asked kneeling down to him. Holden had a look of desperation on his face, Amanda or Solomon?

Solomon sighed, a flat expression on his face, "Well then, I guess metal isn't the only thing she can set off. How interesting." Suddenly, as the reaction went into overdrive, he was brought to his knees, but his expression remained flat. He didn't want Holden to worry too much, "Just go get Amanda, I'll be fine." His eye twitched and his skin became very red.
He knew a thing or two about bones himself, and so he quickly began to work on reversing Jaclynn's spell. While he did work quickly, he wasn't able to stop it entirely before some damage was done. A few vertebrae in his neck shattered to pieces, his left ulna, right metacarpals, and both his shins followed suit shortly after. With a sigh, he pulled the pieces back together, fusing them back to their original state. He stood up, his eyes a bright ice blue, "I have to hand it to her, she's rather resourceful." |
Holden nodded and teleported to where he felt Amanda. "Oh my god Amanda!" He yelled rushing over to her unconscious body. He looked her over and noticed that her right arm was missing, and the wound wasn't healed. "That fucking bitch." He said as he grabbed her body and teleported to Alicia.
"Oh no." Alicia said when Holden appeared holding Amanda. "Can you regrow her arm?" He asked tearing up. "I can only do flesh, Solomon would have to do the bones." She said healing her open wound. "It would help if we had the arm." She said looking up at Holden. Here, I will go find it." Holden said handing Amanda to Alicia and disappearing. |
Solomon quickly teleported to Alicia, "Alicia, you rest, I can handle her." If she wasn't so close to death, Solomon could give her some of his blood to help her heal, but she was to weak and would end up turning. He knew Holden would not want that. He put his hand over Amanda's heart, keeping it beating at a fairly decent pace, "I hope Holden returns soon..even with me being a vampire, I can't reattach something after a certain period of time...that part of medicine doesn't change."
