Serus strolled in a few minutes later, looking quite irritated. She stormed over and sat on a stool next to Seth, "I tell you Seth...one more outburst like that I will destroy the vampire world faster than anyone could say 'I'm sorry'." She tapped two finger son the club, getting the attendant's attention, "The usual Phil." Seconds later, a glass of white wine was in front of her.
She quickly downed the wine, thankful being a vampire dampened the effects of alcohol. She ordered another and sipped that one quite a bit more slowly. She sighed, running her hand through her hair,"What am I going to do?" |
Seth finished his glass of scotch as Serus walked in. Seth ordered another glass of scotch while listening to Serus. "Well just keep doing what your doing." Seth said as he patted her hand. Seth picked up his glass, "Do you know the one thing I miss about being human? I miss getting drunk." Seth said as he chugged his glass of scotch. "Another one please." Seth said as he put the glass down. Seth looked at his watch, "All of our meetings are canceled right?" Seth asked as he took a sip of scotch.

"Ah, you see, back in my day, we didn't really get drunk on a weekly basis. I mean, we had wine but it was nothing like this stuff." She smiled, running her finger along the rim of the glass, "Council wise, yes. Kitra and the others will handle the minor stuff. If you had any Coven related things, I would suggest doing them. I just wanted to make sure you two were free for this occurrence so that it could be taken care of quickly and properly."

"I'm free until tomorrow I have to pop in on the weekly meeting they had to overthrow another leader." Seth said with a sigh, "I swear the longest leader they had was Felix." Seth said finishing his scotch. "I don't know I think that I should take over again, but then I would have no time for Annemarie and... You." Seth said wanting to order another glass. Seth gave a deep sigh. Seth stood, "Shall we go?" Seth asked holding out his hand.

Serus leaned back on the counter, "Well then get Felix the training he needs. If you can't keep order in your Coven, I'm going to have to do something about it Seth...and I'd rather not." She stood up, taking his hand, "Where to?"

"I know I'm working on it." Seth said. "I don't know somewhere where they don't know us." Seth said looking at Serus. Seth smelled something familiar in the air. "Shit." Seth said under his breath. "Let's go." Seth said as he quickly teleported them to his house.
"Ah he was here." The man said as he walked into the shoppe. "Where did he go?" The man said as he teleported himself to California. |
"Hun, they already know I'm alive, what more could they be surprised at?" Next thing she knew, they were at his house. She sighed, gently pulling her hand from his and sliding it into his pockets, "Alright..what's the issue now? You never just teleport us somewhere in a rush like that. Are you hiding something from me?" Not that she didn't have a secret of her own right now.

"It's nothing I just sensed someone that I knew from when I first turned." Seth said kissing her on the forehead. "Anyway, we are alone for a little bit, what do you wanna do?" Seth asked trying to get off topic.
"He will be here soon." The man said, waiting outside of the Augustin coven. |
Serus narrowed her eyes suspiciously. There was something he wasn't telling her, but she nodded nonetheless. "Very well.." She crossed her arms with a shrug, "I have no idea. I'm usually busy. I'm not used to free time anymore." She bit her lip slightly, looking around hopefully to get an idea of something they could do.

Seth looked at Serus. "Is something wrong?" Seth asked as he gently grabbed her.
"I know you know I'm looking for you why don't you just see me?" The man asked Seth. "Because I don't wanna see you." Seth said. "Why not? We were close back in the day." The man said kind of upset. "Ya 244 years ago. Then you left because you are an asshole." Seth said as he closed the link with the man. "Well that went well." The man said. |
Serus shook her head, "It's nothing." She noticed Seth starting to get aggravated, "But there is something you won't tell me." She leaned back on the table behind her, her arms still crossed. Her eyes narrowed a bit as she waited.

Seth sighed. "There is someone from my past, my human past that abandoned me and I don't want to see him. He bugs me every few years when he wants something, most likely money." Seth said trying to block the man from his mind.
"How is Annemarie?" The man asked. "Don't you fucking bring my daughter in to this you low life bastard." Seth said as he put his hand through the wall. "Now if you want money just because I am on the council you are not getting a fucking dime." Seth said as he closed the link again. |
Serus caught his hand before he could ruin the wall, "You have got to learn to control your emotions more. It's your biggest weakness, just like Cecil's." She sighed, pulling him close to her and giving him a quick kiss. "Is there anything I can do to help you?"

Seth tried to calm down, "Oh I don't know, kill me?" Seth said with a chuckle. Seth looked at Serus. "You are to good to me." Seth said as he kissed her.
"You know you can't get rid of me that easily Seth." The man said smiling. "Damn it... Fine what do you want?" Seth asked rolling his eyes. "I just wanna see you Seth it has been 50 years." The man said looking at his watch. "Ya 50 years since you asked me for money Sean." Seth said looking at Serus. "That's not true. Anyway I will see you tomorrow." Sean said closing the link and block his mind from Seth. |
"You know I could never do that, Hun." She smiled as he kissed her, gently running her hand through his hair. "I will also need to teach you to block your mind from others." She stood up, holding his hands in hers, biting her lip again. "How has Annemarie been? School going well? I haven't had a chance to talk to you in quite some time."

"I know you couldn't." Seth said with a smile. "We barely have time together for you to teach me how to do that." Seth said as she grabbed his hands. "She is doing good, she hates school because she already knows everything that she is learning. I know I miss just talking to you." Seth said looking into Serus' eyes.

"Well, we have all day today, and perhaps I can manage to get away tomorrow?" She chuckled a bit as he mentioned Annemarie, "I remember those years. Although, the first few times I attended high school I did actually learn quite a bit. I'm glad I did it though. You never know what they're going to change and teach you."

"Ya we do. I have a meeting at my coven tomorrow after that I am free." Seth said with a smile. "I remember when I went to school myself. It is an experience a child needs." Seth said as he kissed her hands. "What do I have to first?" Seth asked as he started to clear his mind.

"The easiest way to block someone is to think of a solid object, for example, a brick wall." She touched his temple gently, "Go on, make that image appear in your mind. Reinforce it. Focus on that brick wall and make it the only thing in your mind."

Seth did as he was told. He visualized a brick wall and reinforced it. He opened his eyes. "I think I got it." Seth said looking at Serus.

"Ah, ah, you have to be positive. Don't doubt your wall. Think of it this way, I break that wall, you're going to die." Suddenly an invisible force bashed against his mind, the force enough to knock his equilibrium off. "If you sense a crack, fix it. Build it back up." She smashed his wall again, harder this time.

Seth stumbled back when Serus knocked into his mind. He built the wall back up like Serus said. Seth felt her knock into her mind again it felt like his brain was moving in his head. Seth added another brick wall to try and stop her from entering his mind.

"Marvelous. Now, let's see if you can keep it up while distracted." She hit his mind again as she jumped forward and grabbed his shoulders, throwing him to the floor. She would've loved to have thrown him out the window, but she wasn't in the mood to break stuff.

Seth felt Serus knock into the wall again, he held it up as he hit the floor. "Ahh Serus." Seth said when he was on the floor. Seth kept the brick wall from falling.

She pounced, using her hands to stop her form hitting him, smiling, "Oh, is that a weak spot i see?" She weaseled around his wall, breaking through a small crack, "You're dead." She kissed him on the lips then helped him to his feet. "Again?"

Seth grabbed her hand to get up. "I guess so." Seth said rubbing his head. Seth put up another wall.

"Don't sound so wimpy." She stuck her tongue out a bit and gave his mind another bash. "Oh, I know the perfect way to distract you~" She shoved him to the ground, looking down at him as she sent another attack at him, "In case you wanted to know...I'm..pregnant." She grinned, waiting for his mental wall to fall.

Seth fixed the wall quickly. He fell to the ground, he fixed the wall again. "Wait what? Your pregnant?" Seth asked stunned still trying to hold up the wall but he knew it would fail. He didn't know what to say.

Serus smashed through the wall, giving his mind a squeeze, "You heard me, now you better get back on track or I'm going to crush your brain." She winked giving his mind another strong squeeze.

"Oh my.." Seth said as Serus broke through his wall. Seth was still flabbergasted at what Serus said. He blockaded his mind.

Serus felt her link to his mind severe as his wall was rebuilt. It was weak, she should be able to break it easily. "Well, are you going to say anything other than that?" She sat down next to him, tilting her head as she waited for his answer.

Seth sat up on his elbows. "I'm going to be a dad again?" Seth asked sounding excited. "Serus I am extremely happy." Seth said as he kissed her. "How far along are you?" Seth asked as he fell back on his elbows.

Serus smiled, kissing him back, "A few months." She scooted closer to him and rested her head on his shoulder, "Jaelynn wanted me to tell you sooner, but I couldn't find a way to say it. Sorry to spring it on you like this."

"It's ok Serus, I am just surprised that I couldn't sense it." Seth said as he placed his head on her head gently. "I must be off, I think I need a vacation." Seth said with a little chuckle as he sat up.

"Oh hell no, you're staying right here" She grabbed onto him, forcing him down, "Unless, I'm coming with you." She winked.

"A vacation huh?" Sean said as he teleported to Wisconsin.
"Damn it he's here." Seth said as he stood up. Sean walked up to the door and opened it. "Hello Seth!" Sean said as he walked in. "Why are you at my house?" Seth asked as he walked up to Sean. "I told you I wanted to see you." Sean said as he looked at Serus. "Who is this your wife." Sean said. "Yes she is." Seth said as he stepped in front of Serus. "I am afraid to ask but how much money do you need now?" Seth asked reaching for his wallet. "I told you Seth I don't need money, can't I just come and see my brother?" Sean said as he patted Seth on the shoulder. "You are not my brother." Seth said as he pushed Sean's hand off of his shoulder. "You left me after mom and dad died, you were all I had left. I didn't know how to control my powers when I got them because you fucking left me." Seth said poking Sean's chest. "Seth how many times do I have tell you I am sorry for leaving?" Sean asked letting Seth poke him. "No you left me alone, you didn't fucking care about me, you didn't care about mom and dad." Seth said almost crying. "Don't you go there Seth, I left because I couldn't deal with their death's. I couldn't look at you the same either." Sean said slightly angered. "Why because it was my fault that they died?" Seth said crying. "Damn it Seth it wasn't your fault. It was those fucking bastards that kidnapped you." Sean said yelling. "If I wouldn't of been outside..." Seth said as he broke down and fell to the ground. "Seth it wasn't your fault you were just fourteen. For Christ sake why do you always make thing's you fault?" Sean asked kneeling down. "Because they always are." Seth said as he whipped the tears away. "NO THEY AREN'T SETH. If I would of, I don't know been there more maybe none of that would of happened." Sean said almost crying now. "I mean look at you, you have a beautiful daughter, a beautiful wife, and," Sean smelled the air. "Another child on the way. You have all the stuff that I don't." Sean said trying to keep his composure. "I just..." Seth started to say but lost his train of thought. |
Serus stood as a man entered the room. She crossed her arms, listening quietly. A brother? Marvelous... She sighed, looking off to the side. Siblings always made things difficult. She looked back as Seth began to cry and fell to the ground. She stepped forward, gathering the man's name from Seth's mind, "I think it's time you left Sean." She prepared a small psychic attack in case he decided he wouldn't leave.

"Damn it Seth why did you always have to be emotional?" Sean said as he looked at Serus. "Fine I will go, and Seth no matter what you say I will always be your brother." Sean said as he transformed into a white tiger and ran out the door.
"No you wont." Seth said as Sean ran out the door. Seth grabbed his knee's and went into the fetal position. "Why do I do this to myself?" Seth asked himself. |
"He's right you know..you always get into a tiz." She sighed, crouching down and placing her hand on his shoulder, "Just leave it be Seth. It's in the past..gone and done. Nothing can be done about it now."

"Its just how I am." Seth said looking at Serus. "I did but he always does this to me." Seth said letting go of his knees. "I'm sorry I never told you that I had a brother, to tell you the truth I thought he was dead." Seth said standing up. "And he was a fucking showoff, he could of just teleported, but nooo he had to transform into a tiger." Seth said sounding a little jealous.
