Kale glanced around, "No one's here, just pee into the water, I'll turn around," he stated.
"Here," Blaze told Kale as she handed him the empty bottle. But a little while later there was a big splash. It sounded like she had fallen in the water.
Kale cussed and quickly turned around, ready to jump after her.
Blaze had fallen in, but she looked like she was decent at drunk swimming. She cussed a little before slowly trying to make her way out.
Kale dove in anyway, helping her out of the water.
Blaze took a few moments after they got out. Then she turned to Kale and stared at him blankly. "... When did you cut off your mohawk?" she asked.
Kale sighed again, "When did you dye your hair?" he countered.
Blaze had to think about it awhile. "After a margarita," she concluded.
"Why?" he asked as he wrapped a towel around her.
"So I would look different," she told Kale as she dried herself off.
"... Why?" he asked, confused.
Blaze seemed to think really intensely in an effort to put her reasoning together. "So... when I would see myself in teh mirror... I would be different. 'Cause if I saw me different, t-en I couldn't think of you standing right t-ere," she said as she pointed next to her. "But I tried - it didn't work..." She paused before tugging at her hair. "Why is my hair always wet?" she asked no one in particular.
Kale was shocked silent for a long moment, "Why... do you want me right there?" he asked, pointing to the spot beside her.
"... You're t-ere," Blaze replied, confused, as she pointed to where Kale was currently standing.
Kale was silent for another long moment. She wouldn't remember any of this anyway, right? So he reached out and gently hugged her, arms still a little unsure of being this close to someone else.
Blaze seemed very confused. But she seemed to forget that after a moment. "You're cold," she told him as she put her arms around him less gently than he had. "... You should drink more."
Kale had to chuckle a little at that, "You're just supernaturally hot, woman," he retorted. But he was starting to shiver now as he stood there soaking wet.
"Vicious woman," she reminded him as she put her towel around him and hugged him a little tighter. "Sugga jerk."
"Right..." Kale whispered, enjoying Blaze's warmth. When he left tomorrow, would he ever feel this warmth again?
Blaze didn't say anything more as she warmed Kale up. Though she did burp one or two more times.
As Kale warmed up, he started shaking harder. There seemed to be a mental battle going on.
Drunk Blaze didn't seem to be able to tell the difference in the shaking.
Kale pulled away, She wouldn't remember, right? and kissed Blaze.
Blaze was surprised for a moment, but then she started to kiss Kale back.
Kale wrapped a hand around Blaze's head, pulling her closer.
-- James took Yue to her room, going into the bathroom and climbing inside the shower. He turned the hot water on them before wrapping both arms around her tightly once more. |
Blaze felt so confused, but all that mattered right now was the feeling. It felt like - like he really did care for her. She reached up, touching his neck and jaw gently.
-- Yue still didn't move. -- Nic took Laurel straight to her room and tucked her in bed. After another moment's consideration he put some water and medicine by the bed. Along with a trashcan just in case. |
Kale started acting less sweet and more aggressive as she reacted positively.
-- So James stayed in the hot shower with Yue. -- When Nic tried to put Laurel down he had a problem. She'd wrapped her arms around his neck and legs around his waist. She clearly didn't want to be alone even in her sleep. |
Blaze didn't seem to mind.
-- When it was well past the point of pruney fingers and toes, Yue finally seemed to start moving a little. -- Nic worked at prying Laurel off for a good while, seeing if he could make any progress. |
After a little more, Kale yanked himself away. He couldn't do this... not when she was drunk. He shook his head, trying to get control of his body.
-- "You feeling better?" a red faced James asked Yue as he tried to get a look at her face. -- Laurel really didn't want to let go. He was making some progress but was wasn't happy about it at all. |
Blaze didn't seem to want to stop as she tried to pull him closer again.
-- Yue wouldn't let him, but after a long moment she jabbed James in the stomach. -- Nic was steadfast as well. He'd rather upset her now than later. |
Kale gave in for a moment before pulling away again, "N... No," he murmured, shaking his head to clear it again.
-- James grunted before letting out a long sigh, "I missed you too," he muttered, messing up her wet hair. -- Laurel was starting to wake now. |
Blaze whined a little, frustrated.
-- Yue paused before rubbing the place she had hit gently for a moment before slowly putting her arms around James. -- Nic seemed to think it was better for her to wake than remain clamped on. So he slowly kept waking her up. -- Raven sighed a little, readjusting himself. But as he moved his face closer to Wolfe's he managed to pull back just in time with a sour face before burning himself on Wolfe's cigarette. |
Kale looked frustrated as well, trying to keep himself in line as he put a little more distance between them.
-- "Bipolar, wet kitten," James replied before kissing the top of her head tenderly. -- Laurel slowly blinked her eyes open and yawned before grinning groggily at Nic. -- Wolfe didn't seem to notice, his gaze was distanced. It was almost time to put in a new cigarette but he didn't notice that either. |
Blaze didn't seem to like this, but after awhile longer she seemed to begin accepting it. Then she went and sat in one of the boat's corners pouting.
-- "... Selfish jerk," she replied quietly. -- Nic tried to finish prying Laurel off while she was a little dazed. -- So after awhile, Raven slowly moved his hand to take the cigarette from Wolfe. It took a long time, periodically pausing, a little afraid Wolfe might karate chop his hand away. |
Kale sighed but started to boat, heading back towards the resort.
-- "And you're not selfish?" James questioned, resting his chin on her head. -- Laurel seemed to have other plans as she leaned up and starting kissing him again. -- Wolfe didn't react until the cigrette actually left his mouth. Then he blinked at Raven. |
Blaze stayed in her corner.
-- "Not like you," Yue replied quietly. -- Nic fell for it for a little while, but then he seemed to regain focus and kept working on getting Laurel to bed. -- Raven flinched a little, but when Wolfe didn't react angrily he tossed the bud in the water before it burned his fingers. Then he slowly leaned in to try once more. |
When the arrived Kale looked at Blaze, seeing if she was going to walk off the boat by herself.
-- James sighed, "You thrown me away then take me back only to throw me away again. You're just as selfish as me," he replied simply. -- Laurel starting whining which was a pretty blatant indicator of how tired she was. But she still didn't want him to leave. -- Wolfe let him but still didn't react much at all. |
It didn't look like Blaze was going to move.
-- "... You have everything," she whispered. "... And you insist on having my heart too." -- After a while of not making much progress he started trying to talk her into bed. -- After it was clear Wolfe wasn't completely there, Raven pulled away. He was a little sad, but not so much so. He gave Wolfe a half smile before rummaging around in his own pockets for awhile before pulling out a cigarette and a lighter. He put it in his own mouth and got it going before taking it out and gently trying to put it in Wolfe's mouth. |
Kale sighed and went over to her again.
-- "I have everything?" James asked, clearly not agreeing with her. -- That finally seemed to work but she still wouldn't let go of his hand. -- And almost instantly, Wolfe began to smoke. He seemed very stressed out. |
"Yes," Yue replied.
-- Nic tried for a little while before finally just waiting for her to fall asleep again. -- Raven sighed again, not sure what else to do. After awhile he grabbed Wolfe's hand to try and lead him away from the dock so at least he wouldn't have to see the water. |
