The TW here has a mob-style way of collecting bills. ( don't even get me started on the actual service either; they bullshit like nobody's business. )
They will call us two weeks BEFORE the bill is due, 2-3 times a day, every day. If we don't answer, they will send mail and keep calling. It's ridiculous harassment. But you can't do a damn thing about it. The internet is flaky as hell. They claim that it is unlimited, but I get bandwidth issues all the time. They blame every time the service goes out on, and this is the exact reason they give, "When the temperature changes, the wire on the pole will shrink and expand, becoming loose". Which, as Lauv told me, is bull. As far as I've seen, no other company has an issue with "wires shrinking" every single month. There was also that whole month where the internet would be on for 15 minutes, off for half an hour, all day every day. ( I think that was either september or august. I was bitching about it here whenever it came back on. ) Sometimes they also pick and choose what channels we are allowed to see. :| Oh, we pay over a hundred bucks a month for this. Though I do have to say, it is nowhere NEAR as bad as I hear Cox is. |

Yeah, they are pretty crazy around here, too. They've randomly turned off our net, when our bill was paid. And we had to call and fight with them about it for HOURS.

I live in an area that isn't well-off; even filing complaints would yield no solutions. We've threatened to switch to another company ( in our case, the only other company is AT&T and eck. ) and it's never done any good either.
We get a lot of storms and disturbances here, so satellite wouldn't be good ( we live really close to Wright Patt Airforce base and they do weird shit now and then. Storms are more common though. In fact, it's been heavily cloudy, stormy and nasty for several days straight already right now. ) We're mildly rural as well, so the service would be even more flaky. Xurxo: They have done the EXACT same thing to us. only they do it a day or two BEFORE the bill is due sometimes. Edit: Suing costs a lot of money. What with lawyer and court fees and also time off of work, it's too much of a hassle for that. TWC is also a massive company; they'd squish customers like bugs. |
Oh yeah, they made some BS excuse as to why they cut it that fell within the contact. :| I'm going to be getting rid of them as soon as I FIND something in the area.

As far as I'm aware, we only have TWC, AT&T and recently Cox has been advertising here and like HELL I'll even consider them after the horror stories I heard from a couple friends in Virginia. Uuuggghhh.
Plus Cox is like $300 a month. At least that's what said friends are paying for it. Absolutely ridiculous. |

That sucks. We have VZW for our phones...and it's alright. TWC gives us our cable, too, so to keep the package deal without going overboard with cost on things.
