"I didn't try the deserts" He didn't have the heart to tell Kent that it was when he found out he was a vampire. "I was too hungry to care about those things, besides didn't get enough chocolate today?" He hugged Kent closer
Collin propped himself up to get a good look at Jeremy. He rubbed the sore spot on his neck as he looked at his phone. "Alright, I believe you, but I have to warn you, ..."He blushed thinking of the right words to explain. "Were wolves are not like humans, once I give myself to you, its like being married with out a divorce. This is always why I said no. Also you are not getting me in cut offs, I dont have the butt for it."He fell back on Jeremys chest curling up. They should probably make food. |
"Ah. Oh well we could test out one at the very least." Kent replied as he slid his arm around his waist. "Not really. It was a good tease. When I eat chocolate, nothing is left." He chuckled. He was like the cookie monster only for chocolate. (count chocula >D )
"If I'm committed enough I won't care. We could so fly off to Canada and get married that way if we wanted." Jeremy teased. "how about some food. That's like me in spandex. I like to breathe....not that I do but you know I hate constricting things." |
Collins ears twitched and immediately his tail started to wag. Out of the previous sentence the only word Collin heard was fly. "Fuck food you said you would take me flying." Though his stomach put an end to any resistance he had by letting out a loud growl.
Alex remembered he still had alot of his chocolate left. "Alright Count Chocula, if the tavern doesn't satisfy you, we will find a place during our patrol." They reached the streets. Alex was thankful to live downtown everything was with in walking distance. (( I think thats going to be his new nick name xD) |
"Not tonight. It's dangerous. I doubt we want to be attacked again. Should still eat though. Or I could around the house. Just not outside." Jeremy chuckled, rubbing Collin's abusive stomach. He got up and carried Collin with him. Hovering low so he wouldn't hit the door. "It'll be a test drive." It was his first time doing this around the house.
Kent chuckled at the nickname. "All right. Sounds good." He nuzzled into the other as they walked. He was trying to think up a nickname for him but nothing came to mind accept Van Helsing or police girl. Neither really suited him really well. At least not yet. (lol count chocula and police boy >D) |
If this is what it feels like to be carried and fly, no wonder Louis Lane likes to be saved. Collin happily nuzzled his face against Jeremys chest as they hovered above the ground. He kissed Jeremy's cheek. "I'll remember what you said about Canada, especially after college." Collin turned red, too excited for his own good. "What ever you want for dinner you have to cook it in an apron with out clothes on or else face the wrath of the cucumber."
Alex turned into a door way and made a grand gesture. "Here we are." The Tavern was a lot more crowded then when he had first founded but it still exuded wonderful smells. (( Lol wait for it it will come )) |
Jeremy blushed as well. Snapping out of it when the apron was mentioned. "I'm not sure if Kent even had one of those. And that would be cheating. I don't want to cheat on you with a vegetable, especially with an audience." He teased. "I don't even know what I want to do with this thing you call a life that I somehow have. I never got the option to think on it before. Maybe something where I can get free blood. Though it won't be the same."
"Oh this one. I been here before. First time I came here was when I didn't know where our pub was." Kent said honestly. "Their cheesecakes are to die for." He knew that for sure. "Lexxi also frequented this place for the desserts she would sneak to us." He whispered. |
"They have great food, better then bar food." He teased. He scanned around the room finding a table with a pair of chairs. "I keep hanging around you I might have to retire my second job. Your too sweet." The mans blood must have ran on sugar. He pulled out a chair for Kent to sit.
"I was just thinking of inviting the Cucumber for a threesome." He teased clinging closer to Jeremy. "As long as that life includes me. You could be a doctor, perhaps Pediatrics." the thought of Jeremy working around people especially children amused Collin. |
Kent chuckled, sitting and letting his seat be pushed in. "Chivalry isn't dead I assume. What is good then?" He peered at the menu since there were some on every table. Kent might have preferred a booth but at least nobody was close by. Not enough to see Kent snake his hand over to the other's lap at least.
"Of course. Hmm I'm not sure though. Well something not involving bribing myself with surgery. I doubt the patients would understand why they had to get a transfusion due to lose of blood." Jeremy joked. "Lets find an apron hopefully then. Though how would it be a threesome unless you're using it?" He teased. |
"Not if your in the middle" Collin said He swung his legs around so that he could stand on the ground. "Where would it be?" Now he really wanted to see Jeremy in an apron. He let go of him and started searching around the kitchen.
"Of course anything that happens to fill my stomach is great food to me, nothing like the pub but this place gets more then the usual customers, we might be able to hear something about them." When a waitress passed she flagged her down starting off with a two drinks while they decided what to drink. |
"If there's one it might be in the door to the basement if not in the kitchen somewhere. And how would that work unless the cuke was the most dominant one?" Jeremy smirked, helping him find the apron. There had to be one somewhere.
"just what we need a drunk on patrol." Kent teased. He decided on something more light after that. He didn't want to end up drunk if anything happened. One was enough for him. He only decided on the fountain pop after that. No alcohol added. |
Collin had to think about it for a moment. "I can buy that, the cucumber is the hardest to please. But "He laughed "I am not loosing my virginity to a cucumber like you." He went to go look on the door handle to the basement. "Whats down there?"
"Its not for drinking really more like blending in" Alex had planned on the food keeping him sober absorbing most of the ethanol. Though he was talking he was mostly listening, hoping the strange men from the other clan frequented the tavern. |
"Technically it only helped things. I'm not sure. Wanna go see? I haven't been down here so maybe things from home might be in here. And some sort of a supply too. Maybe some treats we didn't know of. Maybe it's the veggie wife and kids mad at him for cheating?" Jeremy teased.
"aha. Just don't get overly excited then. Guess I'll grab for some wings?" Kent seemed to agree with his idea since it was a bar setting. There was bar food. He'd still get cheesecake if they didn't hear anything before then. |
Collin laughed "I thought the vegi was a single man?" He looked down in the basement and decided to let Jeremy walk first. For some strange reason being under ground unnerved him. "What kind of stuff from home?" Collin was seriously thinking about spending a holiday in Canada just to see what Jeremy's life was like.
"Excited about what?" He wondered still not sure what he wanted to order Alex decided to order real food later, and went for the cheesecake since Kent seemed to ingrain it in his mind, now he couldn't stop thinking about it unless he had it. |
"Uh I dunno. Travel cases and things like that. Pretty cheesy. And yes he was married. His carrot wife is very upset." Jeremy teased. "ooh. Shiny." He followed the shine and found the family sword. Technically there were others but this was their copy of it. There were 12 great houses for the family so 12 swords. He found other things too, mostly old clothes and memories.
"I mean loose. Drunk. tipsy." Kent teased. He had ordered a side salad with his wings. Somehow the meat kept vanishing every minute. His eyes went wide as he noticed the cheesecake when it was brought in front of them. They were a tiny little cheesecake so you could share it between two. "Cute aren't they. Too bad the cheesecake has to die." Kent eyed it hungrily. |
"His carrot wife could not please him no wonder he cheats with us." Collin laughed. He looked at the sword, it was indeed very pretty and very shiny. He made the foolish mistake of picking up the sword by his blade not realizing it was silver. He jumped back as if he was burned dropping it quickly and sticking his thumb in his mouth, while blood began to pool on the slice in the palm of his hand.
To Alex it was like watching a person feed a stray animal. Kent looked like had not eaten for days but Alex managed to snag a wing before they were all gone. "I would never get drunk unless I needed the emotional boost." He said gesturing to his drink which he had only taken a few sips of. When the cheese cake arrived he only took one worried about his blood sugar level. "They are a little dry. Needs strawberries." |
"Hmm so that little tale is true. If you want to touch any of that I suggest wearing some material or something." Jeremy went to inspect his hand, cleaning it and wrapping it up in something he'd found as a type of old rag. "I don't know what is all down here so be careful." He said honestly. "Find an apron yet?"
"Good. But getting drunk never helps. We'll get some later then. Maybe. Should definitely invest in a chocolate fountain. Could dip anything in chocolate." Kent licked his lips thinking of it all before agreeing the cheesecake this time needed work. "must be a different cook. Last time these were better." |
Collin shook his head putting his thumb back in his mouth. "oddly yes that part is true I never fully understood why." This time he carefully searched through the various boxes in the basement, finding the most unusual things for a family to have. He started to tug on something he thought was an apron strap but found it was a bra, with the initials LN on the tag. "I never knew Lexxi needed padding." He said holding up his trophy. "You can wear this and that pink thong instead."
Alex laughed, his face turning a nice shade of red. Instead of thinking about the chocolate fountain he was musing about Kent being covered in chocolate. He didn't really say much but agreed. After listening for so long his ears had finally picked up what wanted to know. Some of the other clan's lackys were discussing the new hideout. Apparently the group had split up in order to keep from being discovered all at once. |
"Fine..looks like the cheater will have to make up with his wife or go find someone else." Jeremy teased. "Not much of anything down here I would have liked to find." He said, looking in their old things until it hit the bottom. He found a portrait that got him emotional.
Kent heard as well, whispering to him. "I'm not going to be able to pick up the whereabouts unless I do the mind thing. But they may be trying to do the same thing so it's not a good idea really. we'll have to hope they say where." He had suspicions about chocolate and him being covered in it or anyone else. |
Collin felt like he had been punched in the gut seeing the look on Jeremys face. He pulled him into a hug and kissed his forehead glancing down at the picture. From the looks of things it was the family that Jeremy rarely talked about. "When was this taken?"
Alex shook his head and put a finger to Kent's lips. "That wont be necessary, I'm a hunter remember" He grinned. Before they made their move on Saturday, Alex had been tracking them. Kent was right the new clan's fledglings were some what careless making it easy to follow, but the leaders were smart enough they couldn't be stopped. |
"A week before we had to leave...It's a painting if you didn't notice." Jeremy said, before burying the image once more. "It's all right. The past is the past. I just miss them. Not everyone though." He said as he wiped a stray tear from his face. "Now let's get something to eat hmm?"
"let's see then." Kent smiled, licking his finger. He never really seen him in this kind of action so he wanted to watch what he was going to do. Carefully at that. |
Collin was not going to let him off the hook that easy, it was not good to let some one bottle up their emotions. He kissed Jeremy on the cheek still holding him. "No, you can't just disregard you feelings Jer, you can't hide from me and say you weren't close, that look says it all. When was the last time you talked to them?" Collin couldn't help but wonder if Kyle was really dead.
Alex shook his head, it was probably bad news to bring the enemy his prey. Especially since Kent had not been street tested. "Its too close to Saturday we have to give them some time to relax their guard, but we know they frequent this place." |
"About a month ago. Before coming here." Jeremy said quietly. "Just before witnessing stupid things Kyle had done." He was 90% sure Kyle hadn't survived. But there was still that 10% that got to him whenever he seen that painting. That was when he lost contact with him too.
Kent nodded. "Yeah I guess. It's Monday..how is that even remotely close?" He chuckled. "It's like the worst day of the week. Though it wasn't too bad." He had to admit even his student's hadn't complained when he handed out the tests. |
Collin decided he would save torturing Jeremy for another night. He reached into Jeremy's pocket and pulled out his cell phone. "Alright you are still my slave, so I order you to call your parents and check in on them." He let go of Jeremy hoping that the call would give him some piece of mind. "I'll start dinner since it will never get done other wise." He gave Jeremy a quick kiss hoping to reassure him and make him feel better before leaving the basement and giving Jeremy some privacy.
"Because its only been two days since the other clan had to completely empty out a warehouse, and find new blood supplies. They know you and your cousin are suspicious of them, why would they leave their new hide out unguarded?" Alex didn't think the vampires would be docile based on the day of the week it happened to be. |
Jeremy nodded even though it was considered long distance. He called and spent the next 20 minutes on the phone. They also hadn't known if Kyle was accurately gone or not. If he wasn't then he might be in hiding somewhere. They all fled the scene too quickly to know for sure. Even Kent didn't know. Jeremy came up after. "They're fine, but they still know nothing on Kyle's case."
"I suppose. Keep talking like that and I'll be hungry again." Kent teased. "just keep watch and stuff?" He assumed that was all they could do until they knew more. "Anything else we're going to do?" |
By the time Jeremy had arrived back upstairs Collin had thrown all the frozen pasta they bought into a pot not sure how much he or Jeremy were going to eat. He narrowed his eyes looking at Jeremy, walked over to him and gave him a deep kiss. He pulled back licking his lips happy it was still Jeremy. "Is this good news or bad news? And I am glad your parents are okay it sounds like they miss you." Collin still didn't know what happened except that Kyle was trouble. He wasn't going to pressure Jeremy to tell him.
Alex laughed not sure if Kent meant food or blood since it seemed he could put McDonalds out of business with his appetite. "I will order us more food while we wait, we will follow but if it gets to hot, I want you out of there." He was giving Kent his serious glare, usually only reserved for disciplining students. When the waitress came by he ordered more wings since Kent seemed to enjoy them and a cheese steak for himself. |
"Probably a bad thing. Kyle is like Lexxi and I have a sinking feeling he's still around somewhere. We just don't have proof." Jeremy started Clinging to Collin as he cooked. "I'll go get changed then." He grabbed the bra and ran off.
Kent nodded. "But if anything goes wrong at any time with you. I will grab that ass of yours out of there." Kent said in an even more predatory manor. He went back to being happy as he had more wings. He did mean both afterall. He was becoming overprotective too which he was like with only people he cared for. |
Collin ran after Jeremy "No! No... no I changed my mind besides I already cooked so we can save these torture devices for later" He grabbed Jeremy by the waist to stop him, picking him up and bringing him back to the kitchen.
Alex raised an eyebrow not sure if he had seen what he just saw or heard. Especially since Kent was not contently sucking on his wings. "So thats how I got into my bed." He said realizing how strong Kent must have been. "You know you shouldn't be in danger in the first place." |
"Mmm fine. But I'm feeling a draft. We don't get cold often but we can. When there's no fresh blood in the system. That's why I wanted to get dressed even a little." Jeremy started clinging again, wanting to steal body heat.
Kent nodded. "Yes but that's not why I got stuck there too. You tug in your sleep. And what do you mean? We can hold our own, but not in huge numbers as things get crowded." He went back to the wings, cleaning them off again. |
Collin let Jeremy down and then took off his own shirt and put it over Jeremys skin. He always felt much better with his clothing off rather then on. "There, you can have the pants too if you like." He went back to the stove to stir the pasta "Dinners ready, where are your plates?"
"I suppose it was revenge, for that night you were drunk and made me into your pillow." Alex wondered if Kent even remember that night. It was the night he swore Jeremy would never drive his car again. "Thats not what I mean." He was sure Kent could hold his own. "Though I am sure they will try anything to get what they want." That is what worried Alex. Desperate people tended to do insane things. |
Jeremy looked around. "uh. Oh here they are." He grabbed them from the top cupboard. They had very few but had them none the less. He placed them by Collin as he waited. "make anything with that?" He asked, peering into the pot.
"okay. And..I did? I don't remember. Much." Kent pondered, trying to reflect on any time he didn't remember the whole night. "you're comfy and you know it. Yeah. They're known to be spontaneous. I seen so before. We clashed before, but that was a while ago." |
Collin blushed. He was not well known for his cooking. Especially in a family that had a mother like his and they hunted every thing. "Um... the bag said it was Alfredo something" He grinned nervously.
"oh you did... three shots at the pub and then Jeremy and I had to help you home. You were so cute when you were sleeping" Alex leaned in and pinched Kents cheek. "As long as you don't loose it." At this point Alex's greatest fear was killing the one he loved the most. |
"Alright." Jeremy thought he'd test a noodle before Collin would put them on the plates. "good. They're cooked enough." He ruffled his hair. He hated pasta when it was undercooked or overcooked. Though he thought it could go with some garlic bread though. But alfredo sauces are generally white or creamy so he shrugged off that thought. "Dessert is in my room I guess. oh and the freezer!" He almost forgot the ice cream.
Kent blushed a little. "this is why I never drink. And I have not ever snapped. So would that be a good or bad thing? Though I vent anger out on other things like sketch or going and using a punching bag. There's one in the basement." He chuckled. He'd never gone crazy since he always fed when he was supposed to. Otherwise he'd pass out. He was lucky that way as most snap and attack the nearest moving thing (Jeremy lolol) |
Collin laughed, his head went to naughty things far to easily. He dipped his finger on the edge of his plate taking a taste of the sauce. "I don't think I need anymore sugar till I finish my homework." It wouldn't take him long though he should probably do it before distraction happened again.
"Or my agenda. I can't say the same for myself, I think I would go hulk if anything happened to the people I care about. Thats why I haven't really cared about any one until now. Good so we don't have to waste money on a gym we could use your basement." Alex promised himself two things, never to loose Kent and to get Kent drunk. The latter was just amusing. |
"Good idea. You better do your homework before I start calling you a slacker." Jeremy teased. "While you do that I'll get actual clothes on too. Less distraction is better. So you can stay in AP now that I'm in it."
"But that was funny though. and yup. My basement is fully equipped. Just have to tidy up the area around there. I get even I don;t go mad. I don't lose full control at least so I don't do anything stupid." Kent said. He noticed some movement a few tables back. |
Collin pounced on Jeremy nipping at his ear "Oh my look what you've done, you said the word distraction and here I am." He locked his legs around Jeremy's waist. He latched his lips on to Jeremy's neck. "Are you warm yet?" He teased.
Alex was about to respond when he caught Kents eye movement. He motioned for the waitress to bring him a container for the rest of his dinner. Which he stuffed in one of his pockets. Afterwards he told Kent they would wait two minutes before following the group. |
"not really. I think the hot food will help though." Jeremy blew off the tease, poking Collin's butt instead. "you're terrible you should do your homework you know."
Kent nodded, waiting like an anxious kid going to the circus. "couldn't even eat a full meal. Shame on your stomach." He teased, waiting for the time so they could follow. |
Collin shook his head "Alright mom" He jumped off Jeremy's and settled down with his history book. He slumped on the side of the futon reading his assignment and answering the questions on a sheet of note book paper.
Alex stood up laughing at his jittery companion "You need to lay off the coffee. And no I never finish eating around you." He still had two boxes of food in his apartment from when he went to the pub with Kent. Alex gestured for Kent to follow him. Once they were out the door, he quickly spotted the group of shadows that were talking. They were heading up the main street to the heart of the city. |
"Good. You'll get rewarded later of you finish it all." Jeremy pet Collin while he did his work. "you did good with the cooking too. For one who hunts deer." He teased.
Kent knew what to do, grabbing him and flying up to the nearest tree. It was still behind them but it was easier to hear them and to follow them from above. When they moved, he moved to the nearest of trees. (i sense and inu/kag moment >D) |
Collin's ears twitch and he twisted his head so he could lick Jeremys fingers before going back to his homework. "Your just being nice, and I can hunt for you if you want." He was about to describe the good feeling that came with killing fresh meat but remembered both Kyle and the fact that Jeremy's clan were not those type of vampires.
For a few disorientating seconds Alex had no idea what was going on, when he did he dug his nails into Kents clothing holding on for dear life. His face was a picture of calm but his insides were churning in knots. He watched the group of vampires head into a club that looked familiar. ((Which moment? For future reference Alex is afraid of heights xD )) |
Jeremy shook his head. "no need. Plus we don't need that. All this food is good enough. And you." He teased, making him go back to work shortly after. "I still want to see you in cut offs." He blurted out randomly, chuckling.
Kent paused for a moment as their prey stopped. He then felt how fast the other's heart was beating. "you okay back there?" He whispered. He leaned into the tree and let him lean into his chest. |
