Solomon chuckled, letting his head tilted to the side a bit to rest on Holden's, "I wont~ And I'm fine...I haven't really used all that much power." He glanced over to Melody with a frown, picking up the finger from the floor, "Where's..Mystic and Azriel?"
Melody looked up, hearing Holden snap. She didn't really believe him, but nodded nonetheless. She took her finger from Solomon, looking away. Last she saw, they weren't doing so well against the two demons they were fighting. She didn't want to tell them either because she knew he'd get mad at her for causing all this trouble. Serus growled a bit, "That's why you always take me with you Seth!" She prodded his chest, right above his heart, "If you ever do that to me again, I swear to God I will make you regret it." She smiled, sliding a few bottles of blood to Solomon, "He's right Solomon..drink..or else." Solomon sighed, catching the bottle with his hand, "Or else what Serus?" He flicked the lid off with his thumb and quickly drank it. Once finished, he looked to Holden, "Better my dear?" |
"Yes hun, and I'm sorry hun." Seth said with a wince as she poke right above his heart. He put both of his hands on the floor and tried to stand up, he failed miserably. He sighed, and used his TK to pull himself up. "Ow." He said grabbing his head.
"Still." Holden said with a sigh. "Yes a little." He said pulling Solomon's chin, he gave Solomon a quick kiss. He tasted the blood that Solomon just drank, "What happened to Mystic and Azriel? You were covered in black and violet blood. The violet blood was Mystic's and I'm assuming the black was Azriel's." He said putting his hand on Melody's cheek. "Help me here Solomon." Holden said looking at Melody. |
Serus moved to help support Seth, "You should rest..you may be a vampire but you just had major 'heart surgery'."
Melody stiffened as Holden asked her as well. She looked back to the two, frowning then shaking her head. What else could she do? It was almost impossible to convey her point through sign language. She let out a silent sigh then looked away. Solomon frowned a bit, "How? She can't use telepathy and she can't speak..wait.." He paused, thinking back to his house. he wasn't paying much attention to what was going on, mainly being concerned about Holden. He brought up the scene in his mind to just before they left: Irith grinned, "I will gladly comply~" She turned her hand over, the smokey orb falling form her hand and crashing in the floor. It's shape distorted as it flattened, then dissipated. She then took Melody's head in her now free hand, grabbing onto a chunk of her hair, "Did you want to say good bye Little Miss Melody?" Melody squealed, "N-no..not a-again..please!" She brought her arms up to the woman's hand around her hair, trying to get her to let go. "M-Mystic..Holden..s-someone please help..." Her voice shook as if she were crying, but no tears feel from her fake eyes. Solomon looked back to Holden and Melody, "That demon was able to give Melody a 'voice' while in contact with her. Has that happened before Melody?" She nodded. He nodded back, pondering a moment. "I think I remember Mystic saying something about Ariel and how she spoke...she was able to manipulate her own Ethereal energy to vibrate in the air like how a voice travels through air. I think that's what the female was doing...I wonder if Jaelynn can do that...she can use astral projection afterall." "Jaelynn,," he quickly relayed his plan to her, "Is it possible?" "I've never done anything like that..but..I suppose I could try. I'll be there soon." |
"I'm fine Serus." Seth said with a weak smile.
Suddenly Annemarie appeared with her arms crossed, "Dad.." She said walking so she was right in front of Seth. Suddenly she slapped Seth across the face, "How dare you do that to us?" She asked with sadness and anger. "Damn it Annemarie! I don't have to explain my actions to you, I am the parent. Now go." He said waving his hand making Annemarie disappear. "Damn child." Seth said finally rubbing his cheek. Holden watched Solomon intently. |
Jaelynn appeared a few minutes later, "I have no idea how this is going to work, but we'll just have to see." She gently placed her hand on Melody's shoulder, "I'm sorry if this get uncomfortable..I've never done this." With that, she closed her eyes and began to manipulate Melody's Ethereal energy.
Melody flinched a bit, trying to relax to perhaps make it easier for Jaelynn. After a few minutes, she recognized a sensation overcoming her. She looked up to Jaelynn, waited for her nod of approval then back to Solomon and Holden, "R-right after you guys left...this other demon showed up. He was...really tall..and he had scary red eyes...As soon as he came, I had a feeling that Mystic and Azriel were in trouble...and I tried to help.." She looked down, "It was stupid, but I had to do something...before the female could pull my head off Mystic teleported me to Holden." She took Jaelynn's hand off her shoulder and let go, indicating she was done. Jaelynn sighed heavily, sitting down as she felt a bit dizzy, "Well..that was interesting. I'm sure the more I do it the easier it will be come and be on my body." Solomon frowned, standing up and dusting himself off, "They're still at my house, right Melody?" He looked over, seeing her nod. Melody quickly regretting nodding as Solomon stood. She jumped up, grabbing onto his hand and shaking her head. 'Don't go' she mouthed. Serus looked over, "Solomon, honestly...they're demons...Azriel and Mystic will be fine..besides, you'd only get in their way..those other tow would rip you to shreds. That is no way to pay Mystic back." |
Holden growled and stood up, he gently sat Melody on the little couch. He moved so he was in front of Solomon, "Solomon James!" He said pushing on Solomon's shoulders, to make him sit down. He growled, "You will sit and stay here. Understand?" He said still trying to push Solomon down. Without saying a word Holden brought his foot up and slammed it on Solomon's foot as hard as he could. He continued to push Solomon down to the couch, "Sorry, but you will not leave." Holden said crossing his arms.
Seth sighed, "Serus is right Solomon." He said watching Holden act. He looked to Alica and then to Solomon, he closed his eyes for a moment. He estimated how much power he had, he then opened them. "Sean?" He asked as he teleported Alicia, Solomon, and Sean to Solomon's house. "What?" Sean asked feeling his brain being tugged on. "I'll be back soon peach." He said as he disappeared. Alicia growled as she sensed her field being pulled on. She disappeared. Holden was about to say something but stomped his foot when Solomon disappeared. He could feel that this wasn't Solomon, he glared at Seth. He stomped over to him. Seth's head fell but he was still conscious. "Asshole." Holden said kneeing Seth in the groin. |
Solomon grabbed Holden's hands, "Holden, I can't just not do anything." As Holden tried to force him to the couch, he forced the boy's hands to his sides, "I will come back Holden. I promise." He smiled slightly as he felt Seth teleporting him. After a moment, he disappeared.
Jaelynn stood, "Serus...I don't care what you think right now.." She went over, shoving the pocket watch into her mother's dress pocket, "You will be apart of your Coven, and just in case anything were to happen, I need to know that it goes to someone who can handle it properly." She winked, then vanished. Serus growled a bit at Jaelynn, then hurried Seth to the bed, laying him down. She quickly grabbed a few bottles of blood for him, "You should not enable him Seth." She sighed, pulling the watch from her pocket and setting it on the nightstand. Solomon reappeared at his house, along with Jaelynn, Sean, and Alicia...or..what was left of his house. By now the building had been destroyed and the fight traveled to the wooded area just off the property..he could hear it. He looked over to Alicia, "You should go back to Holden...I'm not trying to insult you, but you really should not be here." Jaelynn appeared with her hands on her hips, her ice eyes watching the demons just about 3/4 of a mile away, "This ought to be..fun.." She looked to Sean, "You ready for this? I sure as hell am not." She chuckled a bit, her hand trailing to her necklace, her fingers twiddling with the tiny A pendant. |
"You should feel lucky that I'm human Seth." Holden said as he went back over to Melody. He angrily crossed his legs.
"I had to Holden." Seth said as he was laid on the bed. "People tell me that about you." He said grabbing a bottle from Serus. "I know Solomon, I don't know why Seth teleported me here." Alicia said with a sigh. "If you need anything just call." She said disappearing. "Not at all, but I do owe Azriel for bringing Seth back." Sean said cracking his neck. "But this will be good, Jen says I have been getting chubby." He said looking down at his stomach. "Let's go." Sean said transforming into a white tiger and running to where he could hear the fighting. |
Melody frowned deeply as Holden came over, 'I'm sorry.' She looked down to the floor, her broken index finger rolling around in her hand as she tilted it this way and that.
Irith whirled around, kicking Azriel back as she sensed the vampires. She grinned, spinning her bloodied sword as she watched them with her ice eyes. The man growled, sensing vampires nearby, "That's your Calvary? Pathetic. Irith, I'm sick of toying around." He rammed his sword into Mystic's abdomen, bringing it upwards and up through his skull. He whirled around as he sensed Azriel at his back. He blocked her sword, twisted his and made her drop hers, then grabbed her wrist, "Acera has something special planned for you..." He looked to Irith, "Get rid of the bastards." With that, he vanished. Before Mystic could react, he could feel the sword cutting upwards and into his skull. Once the blade finished it's cut, his body fell to it's knees, then over to the side as the glow quickly faded from his eyes. Solomon grabbed Jaelynn's arm, "Wait...she'll be excepting a rush..." It was too late for Mystic, the other demon had already sliced him clean up the middle. He watched Sean as he ran at Irith, "Keep to your toes Sean.." He pulled a dagger from a sheath on his back, gripping it tightly. Jaelynn paused, mid lunge as she looked to Solomon, "I won't let him charge her alone." She pulled her arm free, running at Irith, teleporting a few steps in front of Sean as she continued. She jumped up as she neared the demon, her sword appearing her hands as she brought it downward at her head. Irith laughed, bringing her knife up to meet Jaelynn's sword. Her free hand grabbed onto Jaelynn's arm and threw her to the ground, her foot coming forward and kicking her, sending her back with a powerful blast of telekinesis right at Sean. |
Sean yelped as the blast of TK hit him. He flew backwards and slammed into a tree breaking his ribs. He quickly reset them and started running at Irith.
Seth grabbed his abdomen and cried out in pain, "Sean..." Alicia appeared in front of Holden, "Holden I..." She started to say but Holden cut her off. When Alicia appeared Holden grabbed her collar and slammed her into the wall. "Turn me... I need to help them." He said staring Alicia dead in the eyes. Alicia grabbed Holden's shirt and shifted her weight, slamming him into where she was a moment ago. "I can't Holden. You wouldn't be able to do anything. You would be to weak especially because you wouldn't of fed." She said as her eyes turned red. "I have to try, I can't lose Solomon!" Alicia sighed, "I'm sorry Holden." She said knocking Holden out. She let Holden go and pushed him gently down to the floor with TK. She rubbed her temples and looked at Serus, "How is Seth doing?" She asked crossing her arms. She looked to Melody, "Sorry, but I had to." Alicia said with worry in her eyes. |
Melody jumped a bit, but other than that, she didn't react. She nodded to Alicia, lifting her fingers in the 'okay' pose then skittered up against the wall.
Serus sighed, "He'll survive..." Jaelynn rolled on the ground, jabbing a dagger into the ground and gripping it tightly to stop her rolling. She quickly brought herself to her feet, sheathing the dagger and spinning her sword, "Not that I'm suggesting to run away, I don't think there's anything we can do..we should go." "We need to get Mystic's body though..we can't just let him rot out here." Solomon teleported right behind Irith, jabbing his dagger into the back of her skull, driving it up to the hilt. Irith whirled around, lifting her leg to kick Solomon so hard she broke a few of his ribs and threw the alignment of his spine off. She brought her foot up to his shoulder as she moved, then pushed him to the ground, "You vampires don't stand a chance. If you choose to leave now, I will not pursue you...you are not really worth it." She brought her foot to Solomon's head, putting a bit of pressure on it, "But if you continue your feble attacks, I will kill you." Jaelynn quickly teleported to Mystics' body, sending it to an empty room of her manor. She held her sword in both hands, growling as she watched Irith closely, "You alright Solomon?" Solomon coughed up blood as his torso started to repair itself."For the most part...I suggest we take her advice." He tensed a bit as he felt her foot move to his head. Solomon nodded, "Fine...we're obviously outmatched." |
Alicia sighed pinching her nose, "I don't like this waiting." She said quietly.
Sean snarled as Irith put her foot on Solomon's head. He cautiously moved so he was standing next to Jaelynn. "I don't like this." He said to Jaelynn, watching Irith intently. Holden murmured something as he felt Alicia's hold weaken on him. |
Jaelynn remained, her sword aimed at the demon, "Neither do I..she'll probably kill us before we could get away anyway." She spun her sword, "And how can we trust you, Demon?"
Irith grinned, lifting her foot off of Solomon and kicking him over to the other two, "My job is done. In a few hours, the doll will die and I will get paid. Why would I waste my time and power on you worthless creatures?" Jaelynn jumped forward, catching Solomon and dropping her sword. She teleported him back to the manor, quickly picking up her sword, "And if I still don't believe you?" Solomon cursed as he felt Jaelynn teleporting him. He appeared standing up in the study, in the same spot as before he left. He growled, "Dammit Jaelynn.." He turned to Holden with a smile, "I promised I would be back." Irith sheathed her knives, "Well then that's just too bad." And with that she vanished. Jaelynn sighed, looking to Sean, "Why do I have the feeling she's lying?" |
When Irith was gone Sean transformed back into his human form, "Because she is a demon." He said growling. "I only trust Azriel and well Mystic." He said with a sigh. "You should get back before Holden kills Solomon." He said giving Jaelynn a quick squeeze and disappearing.
Holden's eyes snapped open when he heard Solomon, he stood up as quickly. "Your damn lucky Solomon." He said looking at him. He then turned his attention to Alicia, "And you, best not knock me out again or I will knock you out." He said narrowing his eyes. He walked over to Solomon and wiped the dirt and blood off of his face with another piece of his shirt he cut off awhile ago. He quickly walked around Solomon, inspecting him. When he made it to Solomon's front he crossed his arms, "I'm still mad at you." Holden said looking away. "And not to mention what I'm going to do to Seth when he is fully healed." Alicia scoffed slightly, "Good luck with that Holden." She thought to herself. |
Solomon put his hand to his face, "I'm fine Holden." He winced a bit as he back cracked loudly as it reset. He quickly put a smile on through his grimace as his ribs followed suit, "Just a few broken bones is all."
Melody turned and looked up to Solomon and lipped as she put her one hand to her ear and pulling it back, 'Where's Mystic?' Her eyes became wide as he continued to not appear in the room. Solomon bit his lip as he saw Melody's mouth move from the corner of his eye. "How do I tell her Holden? Not to mention..Azriel is missing now." Serus sighed, looking over to Solomon, "I'm assuming the worst of the two..?" Jaelynn soon appeared, her sword now back in it's case already, "He's..in the other room Serus..well..his body." She led Serus to the room. Jaelynn paused mid-step into the room, "What?" There was no body in the room. She looked to Serus, "The demon must've taken it with her." |
Holden's eyes narrowed as he heard Solomon's back, "Fine Solomon just keep lying to me." He said putting his hand up. "Tell her what?" He asked narrowing his eyes even more. Suddenly they started to widen as the realization came to him, "H-..he's dead..." He said biting his lip hard making it bleed. He held his anger and sadness down as he turned to Melody. "Mystic and Azriel are fine." He said with a smile. "They are just resting right now. They will come and get you in a little while... Ok?" He said walking over to her. He picked her up, "Now why don't you take a cue from them and rest yourself." He said laying her on the couch. He walked over to Alicia and started unbuttoning her sweater, when he was done he walked back over to Melody. "I don't know if you need warmth, but it will make me feel better." He said with a smile as he covered up Melody. "Now please rest a little." Holden said moving the hair from her eyes.
Alicia let Holden take her sweater, she looked at Solomon with sad eyes. |
Melody watched him, a bit skeptic. She curled up under the sweater with a slight nod and closed her eyes.
Solomon closed his eyes keeping his face angled away from Melody, "What are we going to do about her? She will need more energy soon, and I don't know if Jaelynn would be able to do it with hurting herself." Serus frowned, "Well, then that's one less thing for you to clean up I guess. Oh, the watch is on the nightstand. When Seth wakes up, tell him to contact me." She blocked Jaelynn from her mind and disappeared. Jaelynn reached out to grab Serus's arm, but she was already gone. "God dammit Serus!" She stormed back into the study, her eyes full of fury, "Seth! Seth wake up you bum!" She jumped, noticing Melody was resting, "Ah..I'm sorry..." She sighed, then left the room. She would yell at Seth later. |
Holden looked at Alicia, "Alicia stay here and watch her. Get me when she wakes." He said walking over to Solomon. He gently grabbed his arm and started to pull him out of the room. "We will talk about it when we get more privacy."
Alicia nodded and went to one of the couches. She closed her eyes and started to rub them. Seth woke up when Jaelynn was gone, he looked around and saw that he was almost alone. He sighed as he started to get off of the bed, "Ow." He said grabbing his abdomen. When he was standing [not very well], he teleported to Jaelynn. He grabbed the first thing he saw which was a coat rack, "What did you need Jae?" Seth asked weakly. |
Solomon allowed Holden to pull him from the room, "How can we have any more privacy than this?" He frowned a bit, glancing back into the room before shutting the door with telekinesis.
Jaelynn looked up, hurrying over and putting Seth's arm around her shoulder so she could support him, "You need to talk some sense into your damn wife." She forced Seth into the nearest chair, "She's being a complete moron right now." |
Holden sighed, "I wanna be able to actually talk." He said pulling Solomon into an empty room. He shut the door, "I can't believe Mystic's dead." He said flipping on the lights. He sighed rubbing his temples, "About Melody, I'm guessing she has about two hours of power left." He said looking at Solomon. "Her eyes are starting to droop." He said as he started pacing. "There is nothing we really can do without Azriel or Mystic." He said pinching his nose. "I think we should just let her power run out and bury her again." Holden said as he continued to pace.
"Fat chance in that happening." Seth said wincing as he was forced into a chair. "What is it about this time?" He asked with a sigh. |
Jaelynn threw her hands up in the air, "I don't know! I apologized then she did, then I told her I wanted to to rejoin the Antinori's she turns me down..all three times.' She made the watch appear in her hand, "I don't know what else to do with her. She can't be a Rouge...she can't be associated with that bunch..." She sighed, flopping into the couch and closing her eyes.
Solomon sighed, leaning up against the wall. "Come on Holden, I know that's not what you want to do." He crossed his arms as he leaned up against the wall. "I know, I've noticed. Her movements are becoming sluggish too..." He watched Holden with a slightly worried expression, "Unless..that is what you really want?" |
"I..I don't know Solomon." He stopped pacing. "It's not like I can pull ethereal energy out of my ass." He sat down on the bed. "Unless..." He plopped back on the bed. He closed his eyes and thought for a moment. He sat up quickly looking at Solomon, "This body was a Paladins, right? And a Paladin is a holy knight, right?" He stood up and started to pace again. "Most likely Melody was in some sort of heaven. I was in a hell..." He laced his fingers behind his back. "I know very little about them, mainly because they aren't supposed to exist. Anyway, I do know this. A Paladin is trusted with helping the dead to heaven or hell." He paused.
"The Paladin also has some magic. Most likely white magic, because they are good." He stopped pacing for a moment and started pacing again. He didn't say anything for a few moments. "Even though this body has a different soul in it, I should be able to harness that power." He stopped and looked at Solomon with a frown. "But most likely it will either help Melody or kill me..." He trailed off. He stuck his hand in the air stopping Solomon before he could speak. "There is one person who could help me... Camelia. Can you contact Felix for me please?" He rubbed his temples. "And... I don't know." Holden sat back down on the bed. "Jae, I don't know what I can say to her to join back." Seth leaned his head back. "Next to you she is the most stubborn woman ever." He closed his eyes for a moment. |
Jaelynn sighed, "Who do you think I get it from?" She chuckled a bit, sitting up, "Perhaps we will just have to wait."
Solomon sighed, "Holden, I will not allow you to access that magic and bring yourself harm." He closed his eyes tightly, "You have no idea how to use that magic, or even how to access it..." He knew he couldn't sway Holden though..but he had to try. Melody's eyes fluttered open silently as she glanced over the room. She noticed Alicia was on the couch across the room. She sat up, wrapping the sweater around her shoulders, leaning back heavily into the couch. |
"Solomon I have to try something. I can't just give up and be like 'oh well, I'll do better next time'." He stood. "That is why I need Camelia. She is a very powerful witch." He walked over to Solomon. "I know you don't want me to bring harm to myself, and I love that about you." He grabbed Solomon's chin and pulled it down gently. "Now please let me exhaust every angle." He placed a kiss on Solomon's lips. "Please contact Felix, and tell him I need Camelia." Holden looked at Solomon with doubt in his eyes.
"Perhaps." Seth opened his eyes. "Even though I am very impatient." He chuckled. Alicia didn't notice Melody wake up because she was deep in thought. |
Solomon pulled his face away, "She is a vampire now Holden...having a vampire access the Paladin magic is a very bad idea. You thought you had problems before?" He sighed, rubbing his temples, "We should talk to Jaelynn first, she can manipulate Ethereal energy."
Melody sat forward, slipping off the couch and shuffling over to Alicia. She tugged lightly on Alicia's dress, lipping Mystic's name a few times. Jaelynn sat up, "I heard my name...I suppose I should check it out..." She stood up and disappeared, reappearing by Solomon and Holden, "Okay...what are you two planning now?" |
"But she is still a witch." Holden threw his hands down. He growled, "I know Jaelynn can Solomon, but I don't want her to get hurt." He pointed at Jaelynn. "What is the point?" He turned and looked at Jaelynn. "Remember when you said you had faith in me? When I came back from Spain." He spun around and looked at Solomon. "Where is that faith now Solomon?" He let his head fall. "I consider you, Seth and Serus my friends Jaelynn. But I can't keep letting all of you risk your lives for me." He balled up his fists. "And no offense to you Jaelynn, but I feel that if you go into the ethereal realm again, so soon you will die." He finally looked up. "Please Solomon let me do this." Holden pleaded.
"Bye bye." Seth waved. Alicia opened her eyes, "I think Mystic is still resting sweety." She smiled. |
Solomon grabbed Holden's arm rather roughly, "I'd rather risk Jaelynn's life over your Holden. I have every bit of faith in you and your abilities, but I can't risk loosing you again!" An over powering feeling of anguish, despair, and pain suddenly overcame Holden, "Do you feel that Holden? That isn't even the tip of the iceberg of what I felt when I lost you...yet alone because I had to kill you! If I let you do this and I lost you because of it...I don't want to go through that again." He let Holden go, the emotions quickly dissipating.
Jaelynn placed her hands on her hips, "I'm both flattered and insulted at the same time..." She shook her head, "Holden, I'm sure I can handle it. I mean, if Mystic can do it, it can't be that hard." Melody frowned, falling to her knees, 'Holden?' |
Holden frowned, "Solomon..." He trailed off not knowing what to say. He quickly looked at Jaelynn, "Melody isn't your responsibility, she's mine. And I have every confidence in you and your powers Jae..." He stopped mid sentence and looked back at Solomon. "Solomon, every ounce of my being trusts you and you abilities." He paused. "I know I can do this." He sighed. "Where is it Solomon? Where?" He paused again. "You really don't trust me. Just because I may be the woman," He looked at Jaelynn. "No offense," He looked back at Solomon. "Of this relationship doesn't mean you can treat me so." He growled.
He sighed, "Please trust me, I know I can do this. And will come out fairly unscathed." Holden ran his hand through his hair nervously, not know how to convince Solomon anymore. Alicia picked Melody up and set her on her legs, "Him and Solomon are talking." "More like yelling." She frowned. "Honestly?" Seth sighed, weakly stood up, and teleported. |
Melody looked to the floor, her eyes drooping heavily. Wasn't Alicia supposed to go get Holden when she woke up? She would assume so. After a moment, she stood, shuffling her way to the door, dropping Alicia's sweater to the floor.
Jaelynn shook her head, "None taken..." She looked to Solomon, "I have an idea. Holden and I, can do it together? That way, the power load is split...we'd both be fine." Solomon sighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose, "I don't want Holden using the damn Paladin's magic to begin with Jaelynn! He may be human in body, but his vampiric aura still remains on his spirit and I'm sure there are other tricks in that body of his! I will not let him risk hurting himself just to save that stupid girl from France! She doesn't even belong on this Plain to begin with! She was never supposed to be here. And now becauseof her, Azriel and Mystic are dead!" He narrowed his eyes at Holden now, "I am not treating you like a woman, Holden. I am treating you this way because, even with all that knowledge in your brain, you still fail to understand just how severely your actions can hurt you." He clenched his fists for a moment with a growl. After some silent seething, he threw his hands up, "Fine, I obviously can't make you understand Holden..do whatever you want..." He turned on his heel and walked off. After a few steps, he disappeared. Melody came down the hallway, hearing Solomon and Holden yelling at each other. She hovered outside the door, her legs collapsing beneath her as she heard Solomon. She knew he hated her! She fell to the side, her eyes becoming dull as she lay there. She couldn't believe it...all she wanted to do was to make things right but in the end, she only made things worse. And then he said it. ...Azriel and Mystic are dead!. H-how could this be? Holden..lied to her? Mystic was..gone...so that meant...she'd be gone soon too. She began to cry silently as she realized this was all her fault. |
"Fucking christ!" Holden almost punched the wall. He looked to Jaelynn, "Why I had to fall in love with a man who is as stubborn as I am I will never know." He took a deep breath to calm down. "Jaelynn, I..." He started to say but was cut off by Seth appearing.
Seth appeared holding Camelia and Felix by the collars, "Now Camelia help Holden. He has to find out what powers of the Paladin he got." He was breathing heavily. "Fine Seth." Camelia grabbed something out of her pocket. She walked over to Holden, "I'm going to need you to wear this. If you did get the Paladin's powers this will help you control it and you can do magic without a spell or circle." She paused. "Well for most things." She put the necklace around Holden's neck. "Now Felix darling, I need you to go and get blood, a lot of it." She led Holden to the bed. She gently, but forcibly set him down. Felix nodded but looked to Seth first, "Are you ok Seth?" He put his arm around Seth's waist and moved him to a chair. "I'm fine, now go." Seth waved Felix away when he was sitting. Felix disappeared. "Jaelynn you are welcome to stay if you want." Camelia smiled at Jaelynn but quickly looked back at Holden. "Now this will be painful.. Or at least I'm assuming. If you do have the powers, when I unlock them you will get a huge amount of knowledge. Spells, incantations, arrays, etc." She closed her eyes. "Now I want you to open you mind to me. While I'm in there I will push your links with everyone out. So that may hurt you as well." She took a deep breath, not that she needed it. "Now." Camelia said as she started to say an incantation. Holden just sat there while Camelia talked, he nodded and closed his eyes. He opened his mind to Camelia. He felt her enter his brain and push his links out. Holden winced hard when they were pushed out. |

Jaelynn glared at Seth, "Dammit Seth..can't you take a hint?" She grabbed him roughly by the arm pulling him from the chair and disappearing with him. The two reappeared in the study where many bottles of blood were still in the bags. She made a few bottles float over to him, "After you drink these, I will take you to get a proper meal."
Melody curled up on the floor hearing more voices in the room that was just behind the door. Holden wasn't coming...he was too busy...and Mystic wouldn't be coming either..that's for sure. Suddenly, she opened her eyes, hearing soft footsteps just down the hall. She struggled to focus her eyes for a moment before passing out. She knew she didn't have enough time to wait for Holden to get Mystic. Solomon would get his way. Solomon flinched a bit as he felt Holden's link severed. He couldn't believe he was going to go through with it. His eyes flashed red for a moment as he dug around his property, trying to find something salvageable. With a quiet sigh, the man crouched down as Melody went limp again, "My dear, it's not quite your time." He smiled a bit, touching his long black nail to her forehead. After a moment, he removed his nail, moving his hat up away from his face. "Melody...wake up." Melody's eyes fluttered open as she felt a surge of energy. Her arm spasmed a bit, hitting into the wall. She sat up, rubbing her eye with her cracked fist, jumped and pushing herself back into the wall as she saw the figure before her. Mystic grinned widely, moving some of the blood stained hair from Melody's face, "My dear, you should trust my abilities more. You can't get rid of my that easily. You're lucky though, if I hadn't restored your energy just before the fight, you wouldn't be here..." He stood, taking her in his arms and carrying her like one would a small child. "I think we need to step in that room...don't you?" Melody held onto him the best she could with her one arm. She nodded furiously, the gears in her other shoulder grinding a bit as she 'moved her arm to point at the door', even if the arm wasn't there. She was just too thrilled right now. Mystic smiled a bit, turning the knob of the door with his free hand and swinging it open. He blinked, rather surprised at the events occurring, "Well...I can see you're all busy." He rolled his eyes, then shut the door, "I give it 5 seconds tops..you on for that?" He held his free hand to her for her to shake. Melody nodded furiously, taking his hand in hers lipping, 'You are so on'. She shook it once, then nestled herself comfortably in his arms, waiting and counting. |
Suddenly a pained expression came over Holden's face as he sensed a presence enter the room. He cracked open his eyes and saw Mystic, he lifted his hand to give a wave but suddenly got ravaged by pain.
Camelia kept her concentration as the presence enter the room. She could tell Holden's was slipping. Suddenly her pendant fell out from her shirt, the light blue gem was glowing brightly. She held out her hand and a ghostly figure appeared. The ghostly figure floated over to Holden, "Don't worry about them Holden. If you concentration slips even more we will both die. The figure gently floated over to the door but quickly disappeared, making the door fly open. Holden closed his eye and started concentrating again. His pendant floated up from his neck and the white stone started to glow brightly. The two pendants suddenly connected, sending a powerful blast of power in between Camelia and Holden. As Camelia continued to say her incantation she started to levitate off of the floor. Holden started saying something incoherent and was being pulled up with Camelia. Camelia felt a surge of power as she finished her incantation. She opened her eyes as she started to see a dark figure float from Holden. She gasped as she was thrown backwards. She slammed into the wall and slid to the floor. Holden was forced down onto the bed, he flew forward and slammed into the floor. "H-..Holden you must act. This is dark dark magic." Camelia yelled as she put a barrier around the open door. Holden suddenly floated up, he looked to the open door with pale blue eyes. He then turned around and started to mutter and incantation in a low tone. He hovered his hands around the pendant, which was still glowing brightly. The dark figure laughed evilly, "You have no chance against me boy." The dark figure started to transform. Suddenly the figure was in the form of Holden's mother. "You disgust me you fag!" The figures said pointing to Holden. "You are a disappointment to me." The figure laughed evilly again. Holden's head fell forward as he intensified his incantation. He was speaking faster than humanly possible. Suddenly a light figure appeared next to Holden. "Don't listen to it Holden!" Camelia yelled feeling darkness engulf her. The light figure transformed into Holden's old self. "I am not a disappointment mother! You are!" The light figure suddenly shot at the dark figure like a lightning bolt. Holden looked up with black and white swirling eyes, he pulled his hands away from the pendant as he finished the incantation. "Veniat. (Go to hell.)" He brought his hands back to the pendant. Suddenly the two figures started swirling together like a tornado. They shot at Holden's pendant. Holden flew backwards and crashed into a dresser when the two forces entered the pendant. He laid there lifeless. Camelia chuckled, "You did it Holden. You did... Holden?" She looked to Holden's lifeless body. She quickly scrambled to Holden, she gently turned him over, "Damn it!" She brought down the barrier that was surrounding the open door. She put her hand over her pendant and pulled out a white orb. She stated to mutter as she held the orb over Holden's pendant. Suddenly the white orb flew into Holden's pendant. Holden suddenly sat up gasping for air, he started grabbing for Camelia. Camelia grabbed Holden, "Shh it's alright... Shh...." She gently rubbed her hand through Holden's hair. "Yes Jae.." Seth said grabbing the bottles and popping the tops off of them. "What is going on over there?" Alicia sat up as Seth and Jaelynn appeared. {Bam 53.72 Au : D} |
Jaelynn rolled her eyes at Alicia, "Not a fucking clue..if they break anything I will be taking it out on their bodies." She snatched a bottle, drinking it down quickly, "Where's Melody? Wasn't she sleeping?"
It was definitely longer than 5 seconds by the time the room quieted. Melody grinned, looking at Mystic, 'I win.' Mystic winced, "It's a good thing you don't have anything to lay down on these bets..I'd have nothing left..I always seem to loose." He scanned the room for a moment, before peering in the room once more, "Well then..certainly interesting~" |
After a few moments Holden composed himself, he looked at Mystic. He stood up and ran over to him. "Mystic, I'm so glad your ok." He got ready to give Mystic a hug.
"Holden no." Camelia said running up to Holden and pulling him away from Mystic. "You can't touch any dark creature." She turned Holden to look at her and quickly removed her hands. "You need to listen to me. There was a few things that I was able to keep sealed away, and a few things that I was able to get rid of." She paused for a moment. "For the next few hours, if you touch a dark creature you will be seriously hurt. Also you will have a slight taste of hatred towards them, if they appear close to you." She looked up to Mystic. "Now, do you feel that?" Camelia looked back to Holden. Holden nodded. "Ok good." Camelia sighed. She closed her eyes trying to think. "I want you to do everything I tell you." She stretched her back. "You still need to eat food. But most of your power will come from the sun, because it is light." She pinched her nose. "I am really messing this up." She put her index finger on Holden's forehead. "This is all the information you need." Camelia gave Holden a lot of information. "Does that make more sense?" "I see, well that is nice to know." Holden nodded thinking for a moment. "Bye." He muttered something quickly and disappeared. "Holden!" Camelia reached out but was to late. "Damn child, he doesn't have enough power to get back." She crossed her arms and put her hand in Holden's portal. She disappeared. Holden appeared close to Solomon, "Solomon, I'm..." He fell to his knees and them to his hands. |
Solomon whirled around, pointing his finger angrily at Holden, "No! You're not! This is just like when you demanded I turn you or erase your memory! You never listen to me! You always seem to get your way regardless of what I say or do!" He clenched his fists, shoving his hands into his pockets, "When you decide you'll listen to me, I'll be in London..." He shook his head slightly, then disappeared.
Mystic shook his head slightly, "You should've just left him be Camelia...he's now on the radar of every vampire, demon, and any other creature of the night. Way to go." He wasn't angry, personally, he could care less. He just wished that the trio would stop getting themselves into trouble so that they would actually enjoy their second chance at life. "If anyone needs me, I'll be repairing Melody." With that, he disappeared. |
"I..." Holden trailed off as Solomon disappeared. He snarled slightly when Camelia appeared.
Camelia appeared, "Holden, you are supposed to listen to me." She crossed her arms. "Now stand up, I can't touch you." She sighed. "I'm going to take you back to Seth and Serus' house. I suggest you move out and find a place of your own." She looked up at the sky. "I drove Solomon away again." Holden stood up. "Let's go I guess." He looked to Camelia. "Ya, now this will hurt." She grabbed Holden's arm, and disappeared. She landed in Holden's room. Holden pulled his arm away when they landed, he had second degree burns. "Great." He looked at the burn. "Don't worry it will heal when you get more power. Now get packing." She disappeared. She landed next to Alicia, "Go help Holden, you two are moving out of Seth's house." Camelia crossed her arms. Alicia crossed her arms, "She went to find Holden. She sighed and looked at Camelia, she disappeared. "What's going on Holden?" |
Jaelynn shook her head slightly as she heard Holden packing, "It's about time they left..." She contacted a maid to tell her to clean up the mess, then headed downstairs to the arenas to waste time.
Hayden appeared in the study, quickly finding out she was alone. She searched around the house on foot, searching for Solomon. She frowned, he wasn't here. She hurried to the kitchen to find Anne, Maybe she knows. When she got there, Anne wasn't there and her associates said she had been missing the whole day. Hayden frowned, sitting on the floor with her arms crossed. Where is everyone? |
Camelia shrugged, "I think I'm going to go home. I'll see you later Seth." She waved. "Oh by the way Mystic is alive." She disappeared.
"Bye. Wait what?" Seth asked as Camelia disappeared. He growled as he sat in a chair. "Holden, tell me what is going on." Alicia stomped her foot. "Nothing Alicia, we are moving." Holden set his bags on the bed. "Now go and get your stuff." He grabbed the contract that Seth signed. He quickly signed it. "After your done we are going to the bank." He put the contract in his jacket pocket. Alicia threw her hands up, "Fine Holden, be that way." She stormed out of the room to grab her bags. When Alicia was gone Holden sat in a free spot on the bed with a sigh. "I'll talk to you soon Solomon." He quickly stood up and looked around. "Holden you can take my car until you get one for yourself." Seth ran his hands through his hair. "Thanks." Holden went to say goodbye to Anne, if she was still there. He walked into the kitchen and saw Hayden on the floor, "Hayden what's wrong?" He stepped forward but quickly retracted it. |
She looked up at Holden, letting out a slight instinctive hiss. Her eyes went wide and she quickly covered her mouth, "A-ah..I-I'm so sorry Holden! I..you're just.." She looked down to the floor her hands going back to her lap, "I can't find Solo..he's not here and he's blocking me..." She sighed a bit, standing up and brushing the dust from her butt, "Why did you do it Holden?"
