"Your time is coming love." Holden said with a smile. "I'm just that good." He said with a chuckle. "Shh we can't tell her that, she will rub it in our faces for all of eternity." Holden said. "Should we go home? Or do you wanna hang here for a bit?" He asked as his eyes turned back to brown. "And you might wanna teleport us, knowing my luck we will end up on the floor." Holden said with a content sigh.
"And who said the floor was a bad place to end up?" He winked, gently tracing Holden's chin, "If you don't mind, I would like to stay here for awhile yet. It's nice out here.." He closed his eyes contently, the wind occasionally picking up a bit and moving his hair to cover his eyes. "How are you feeling so far Holden?"
"No one did." Holden said with a smile. "I don't mind at all, it is. I guess I know places to sulk as well." He said as he felt a chill go up his spine as Solomon traced his chin. "I feel great, I'm with the man I love. In a beautiful city, and we are just being." Holden said as his eyes turned a light brown.
Solomon smiled, "Marvelous~ I'm glad I got your back in the right place this time. I apologize for the last time...healing is quite difficult when you have no power left." Dammit. And speaking of that...he'd need to feed again since he just hauled a horse about 3/4 of a mile to a trailer. "That horse owes me...." he unknowingly muttered aloud.
"It's ok Solomon, just as long as you don't have to do that again I will be fine." Holden said with a small smile. "We should get you some blood." He said not wanting to move from the spot they were in. He ignored Solomon's last comment. "I also gotta say twenty pints of blood fills you up." Holden said trying not to fall asleep.
"I wouldn't know..I've never had a 'full meal'." He pulled Holden closer to him, "We should, but I don't feel like moving. I'm way to content." He gently ran his free hand through Holden's brown hair, "Just promise me you won't deprive yourself like I do..."
"Solomon, we need to work on that. I don't want you to pass out again. Also why haven't you had a 'full meal'?" Holden asked feeling safe. "I don't wanna move either." He said with a content sigh. "I wont, I have you and Alicia to remind me. Plus I don't want you to go into a panic like I did when you passed out." Holden said closing his eyes.
He shrugged, "To tell you the truth...Ah..well..." He spoke so nonchalantly, even though this was a serious issue. If he was caught in a serious fight or injured very seriously, he'd be out of luck until Holden learned how to heal another. "I don't know really...I just do I guess." He gave Holden a squeeze, "I won't be that weak. I've only done that a few times, oddly enough, thanks to Alicia I've managed to survive."
"And now you have me." Holden said with a smile. "I love this place." He said feeling the tranquility come over him. He yawned, "Well I didn't know that you still yawn being a vampire." Holden said still trying not to fall asleep.
"You will eventually stop that, as well as breathing. You're still changing yet, so it'll be awhile." He smiled, "If you want to sleep, go ahead. A little nap out here sounds like a marvelous idea." He moved Holden's face, kissing him rather passionately on the lips.
"The last time I took a nap it was a 22 hour one." He said with a smile. Holden kissed Solomon back. "How do you always make me feel safe?" He asked as he closed his eyes and drifted into a slight sleep.
"I'm just special like that, hun." He smiled as Holden drifted into a light sleep. He kissed the top of Holden's head, closing his eyes and resting a bit himself.
The next morning they were so rudely awakened by a rather obnoxious little beast. Suddenly a stray cat jumped onto Solomon's chest, just barely missing Holden's face with it's sharp claws. "Gah!" Solomon snarled, sending the cat scurrying off form fear. He sighed, knowing Holden was now awake, "Sorry." |
Holden fell off of Solomon, "Jesus!" He said as he hit his head on the ground. "Its ok, but I am seriously starting to hate animals." He said as he sat up. "What time is it?" He said stretching. "We should probably get back Alicia is probably worried sick." He said as his eyes turned red. "There is another vampire around here." Holden said as he stood up. He looked around.
Solomon stood, brushing off, "Oh leave them be. Besides, vampires who live in London know better than to try to fight me. Even in such a weakened state, I am stronger than most vampires around here." He grabbed Holden in a tight hug, giving a kiss before teleporting them both to Solomon's study on the second floor. "There, now it's just us. You really need to learn to control your eyes Holden..it's a dead giveaway."
"Sorry, you know now your also my teacher. Its always been a fantasy of mine to sleep with my teacher." He said as his eyes turned back to brown, he gave Solomon a wink. Holden hugged Solomon, "I am willing to learn anything Mr. Solomon." He said in a sexy tone. "And I do mean anything." Holden said as he kissed Solomon passionately.
Solomon smiled seductively, kissing Holden back, "You cannot handle the things I could teach you." Solomon continued to kiss him as he gently, yet a bit forcibly, pushed Holden to the couch, only a few feet behind them, and forced him down, "You think I only do mad showers? Well, you have another thing coming my dear boy."
Holden loved being forcibly put on the couch. "Oh, Mr. Solomon." He said in a moaning way.
*** Holden put on his pant's. "Well that was amazing." He said as he walked over to Solomon. He gave Solomon a quick kiss. Suddenly the door opened, Holden jumped. "Oh dear god!" Alicia said as she opened the door and seeing Solomon and Holden half naked. "Sorry." She said as she closed the door. She wanted to gouge her eyes out. |
Solomon winked, turning to see Alicia leave as quickly as she had come, "Oh come on! You've caught me doing much worse." He laughed slightly, quickly pulling on some clothes, leaving his shirt unbuttoned for the time being. "Is there something you wanted Alicia?" He walked over to the door, opening it, "You'll be fine, dear."
"Ya much worse but not with my best friend." Alicia said a little red in the face. She jumped when the door opened, "I ah... Just wanted to see if you wanted help training Holden." She said looking down. She looked up at Solomon, "I'm just gonna..." Alicia said trying to move but her feet wouldn't let her.
Holden got dressed the rest of the way, he sat down on the couch letting Solomon and Alicia talk. |
Solomon couldn't help but grin at her as she got red, "Alicia, really, relax. Alright?" He gave her shoulder a squeeze then went back over to Holden, leaving the door open. "You're more than welcome to help if you'd like, but that's completely up to you my dear."
"Alicia remember when I walked in on you and Jimmy Anderson. And I mean when you two were doing it. It was quite... Embarrassing." Holden said looking at Solomon.
"No don't you bring that up, I still can't believe I slept with him." Alicia said with a shiver. She walked into the room. "She had the nickname of." He started to say by Alicia cut him off. "No do not say it or I will hurt you." She said with her hand up. Holden laughed. "Ah you had a lot of one night's, you were very well known." He said with a smile. "I told you no, you are an ass. I can tell Solomon all of the stuff you did." She said putting her hands on her hips. "Fine truce." He said throwing his hands up. "Ha I always win." Alicia said with a evil smile. "It's because your mean." He said as he got up. He walked over and gave Alicia a hug. "I am not mean I just know where to go when we have theses little back and forths." Alicia said hugging him back. "Hey I have won a few of them." He said with a smile. "Um two to be exact." She said with a chuckle. "Its been more then two." He said as he put his arm around Alicia's neck. "No its only two." She said looking at Solomon. "Sorry Solomon, we just do this sometimes." Holden said smiling at Solomon. |
Solomon shrugged, "Don't worry about it. Its fine." He sat down on the couch with a quiet sigh. He was surprised to find that Rita had not called him regarding Rilov yet. He was getting nervous about that but trusted her judgement.
Holden let go of Alicia. "What's wrong?" He asked as he sat down next to Solomon. He gave Solomon a hug.
Solomon shook his head, "Its nothing Holden...just thinking about how I'm going to help you with your powers." He smiled slighty giving Holden a quick hug. Suddenly he stood pulling his phone from his pocket as he left the room, "Yes?"" he moved out of the doorway and down the hall as he listened. "Ah Dr. Sarasin!....Is he? Good......Would it really be worth it? I mean-....Yes mmhmm....I see....I'll..be there soon."
He sighed deeply as he shut the phone and shoved it in his pocket. He paced in tight circles in the hallway, distressed about the news. He leaned up against the wall rubbibg his hand through his hair. "God dammit..." |
Holden got up and walked to the doorway. "Go, Alicia can help me while your gone." He said as he walked to Solomon. "I will be fine." He said as he kissed Solomon on the cheek. "Oh and when you get back you need to feed." Holden said with a smile as he walked back to the study.
Solomon shrugged, "What? Ah, right..I'll go soon..I just..need to think for the moment." He teleported to the pasture, whistling loudly for Zera. She came trotting over bobbing her head. Solomon reached out and gently pet her neck, "I'm sorry Zeze.." The horse sighed, resting her head on his shoulder.
Holden smiled as Solomon disappeared.
"We need to work on your teleportation." Alicia said when she saw Holden enter the study. "I know." He said looking down. "Its ok, we just need to work on your landing." She said with a smile. "When your teleporting think about landing on you feet." Alicia said crouching down. Holden nodded. |
Solomon stepped away from Zera and disappeared, reappearing next to Rita's truck. He made his way back to the barn to meet with her.
***
"Finally you got it." Alicia said as she saw Holden land on his feet. "Ya... But you didn't have to work me this hard." Holden said in between deep breaths. "If I didn't you wouldn't of 'mastered' teleportation in forty five minutes." The said with air quotes. "What do you mean by that?" He said doing air quotes. "Well you have basic teleportation down, next is teleportation to a place you have never been, and finally there is teleporting something or someone else." Alicia said as she put her hands on her hips. "Damn, um can we save those for later?" Holden asked as he stood up straight. "Ha the last one Solomon hasn't even mastered. My dad is one of the few who did master it." She said slightly annoyed that she brought up her dad. "I see, so what's next?" Holden asked ready for anything. "Well let's do telepathy, you know the basics but we need to work on you creating the link." Alicia said as she pulled out her link from Holden. |
Solomon sighed as Rita escorted him from the room, "If the one is repaired, then the other should recover as well, correct? All his left one really needs is 'resurfacing' and I can manage that at home. Even after the surgery, I can speed up his recovery so he doesn't get lame. I know I could never race him, like I want to, but he could at least walk, correct?"
The brunette nodded, handing him the clipboard to sign, "Correct. If we were to have done both knees, as originally planned things could've gotten really bad, really fast. Besides, if you can haul him to the trailer and to his stall he should be fine. We can start as soon as the operation room is set. This could be revolutionary if he survives. I mean, granted, he'll have your aid, but still, if his knee stays in place afterwards, things could be well for him. You can never ride him, as his hoof might still be a bit twisted, but he should be able to walk trails with you and Zeze." Solomon quickly scribbled his signature on the paper, "I figured as much, but if it helps him, I would be happy to do it. I'm sure Zeze would enjoy a trail with him. Oh! I don't know if you saw earlier, but I recently acquired two more horses. Perhaps when you drop Rilov off you could give them a once over, just to be sure they're healthy?" Rita nodded, taking the clipboard back, "Of course Solomon, anything for you." She gave him a quick hug then went on her way as he disappeared. Things were much more reasonable and convenient knowing Solomon was a vampire. Granted, it's not like she couldn't sense it anyway. |
***
"Ow! Damn it Holden!" Alicia yelled grabbing her head. "You need to stop creating the link so hard in my head." She said still holding her head. "I'm sorry but its not helping that you are yelling at me." Holden said yelling back. "Well stop hurting me and I will." She said in a huff. Grr, you so annoy me sometimes. I'm gonna go and feed." Holden said as he disappeared. Damn it!" Alicia said as she plopped down on the couch. |
Solomon appeared sitting next to Alicia, a sly look on his face, "This is why the basics are left to you, my dear. You have a way with the fledglings. So, how's he doing?" He leaned back, crossing one leg over the other and crossing his arms over his chest, "I think we came to a solution for Rilov."
"Well he has basic teleportation down. Creating a damn link is not good at all." She said sighing deeply. "That's good Solomon." She sighed. "I hope he doesn't do anything stupid." Alicia said as she leaned back on the couch.
"Holden knows better, he'll be fine. Here, I'll give you a break from him and I'll work with him for a few hours. Okay?" He smiled a b it, nodding to the door, "Go. I'll deal with him."
Alicia sighed, Good luck." She said as she disappeared.
Holden appeared, "Why must I always run?" He asked himself as he looked for a human to feed from. He spotted a human and bewitched them to come over by him. Holden knocked out the human and bit into his neck, he didn't drain the man of all of his blood. He put the man down on the ground, he healed the holes and teleported back to Solomon's study. |
Solomon smiled at Holden reappeared, "Well good afternoon." He stood up giving Holden a hug, "How's the training going?"
"Hello." Holden said with a frown. "Alicia is a slave driver." He said hugging Solomon back. "I can't seem to establish a link without hurting her." He said with a sigh. "Speaking of Alicia where is she?' Holden asked looking up at Solomon.
"She's..I don't know actually." He smiled keeping his arm around Holden, "You're just thinking to hard. Just relax. Now, try to establish a link with me. I want to see what you're doing."
Holden sighed, he closed his eyes and concentrated. He established a link with Solomon. "Sorry if that hurt." He said not opening his eyes.
Solomon didn't flinch, but he certainly felt something uncomfortable. He was silent for a moment, then severed the link between them. "You force yourself in too quickly. Wait for a response from the other. Just..touch their mind and wait for the other to allow you in, then complete the link. It should be more comfortable for both parties. Try it with Alicia once, it'll work better without her knowing you're going to contact her."
