"You were feeling me up!" she repeated loudly as she leaned in forwards his face, "You're a dirty log!"

"Huh?" Nic repeated, still confused.

Laurel picked up Nic's hand and suddenly pressed it right on her chest, "I woke up to this!" she stated, face still close to his.

"... Huh..." Nic muttered a third time. But less confused this time.

Laurel raised an eyebrow, "What do you have to say for yourself?" she demanded, "Corrupting a pure girl, you boulder!"

Nic finally glanced at her directly in the eyes for a moment before looking away again. "... I told you before that it wasn't a good idea to sleep in bed with me," he reminded her. But he didn't seem too worried. Like he could have done worse.

Laurel leaned in a little, her mouth right by his ear, "... I'll tell you a secret," she whispered, hand running over his chest, "I think I... liked it." She seemed a little embarrassed to be saying such things, but not too much.

Laurel could tell Nic liked her confession. "... Careful what you say..." he told her quietly as his hands slowly started to explore her body again. But very soon Laurel could feel Nic's frustration - he was still too weak to take this where he wanted to go.

Another shiver went up Laurel's spine but she pulled away a little when she felt his frustration. "I suppose I should be thankful you're not at full strength," she chuckled a little, "You'd attack me- you lone wolf." She smiled down at him for a moment before leaning in and giving him a kiss, doing most of the work herself.

Nic pushed Laurel away gently before she finished. "... I'll never attack you," he promised her quietly, sincerity in his voice. An odd passion came along in his voice like he had believed those words his entire life.

Laurel blinked, her eyes widening a little in surprise. "Wh... What are you talking about... boulder!" she replied, smacking the side of his head lightly, "Of course you wouldn't." But Nic could tell she was relieved, she seemed to relax a little more. She smiled and kissed his cheek, "You never stop surprising me," she whispered, "Just when I think... I couldn't love you more..." she sighed a little, laying down on top of him and resting her head on his shoulder.

Nic didn't defend himself against her. After a moment of silence, he pulled the blankets over them a little more and wrapped his arms around her back. He didn't say it, but his soft touch whispered that he loved her.

Laurel relaxed fully in his arms, warm and content... well, almost. Suddenly a very loud growl came from her stomach and Laurel turned beet red. "U-Uh..." she murmured, clearly embarrassed as she pulled away from him, "I think we need to eat."

Nic didn't seem annoyed or upset. You had to eat, right? So he let her go.

"Do you think you can walk a bit?" she asked as she moved off of him, "We might be able to find a kitchen... though... if this room is any indication, it might be filthy."

Nic sat up and slowly stood before nodding. He could walk a bit.

Laruel nodded, staying close to Nic's side just in case as they explored the resort.

There were signs pointing to the kitchen so Laurel led Nic along, it wasn't long until they came to the main kitchen. Laurel sighed as they stood outside the door, "I hope it's clean..." she muttered before opening the door.

Inside was Wolfe, he nearly had the place clean. As Laurel saw Wolfe, her expression hardened a little. It almost seemed like she would turn around and walk right back out. But she didn't; staying silent for a long moment. "Hey..." she finally called out to him.

Wolfe shrugged a little, acknowledging them but not looking away from the stain that was holding his attention.

Laurel was still a little tense, forcing her gaze from Wolfe as she guided Nic to one of the tables.

Nic pretended like he didn't notice their interaction.

Laurel went over to the cupboard and peeked around. "Oh! Good, they have instafood," she exclaimed since instafood didn't go bad. She paused, sighing mentally. There was nothing she could eat. They definitely didn't have anything fresh around here and she hadn't brought any of her food, thinking that wherever fancy place they were going must be as stocked as James' house.

She didn't let her disappointment show on her face as she grabbed Nic some Thai food and instafied it for him.

Nic seemed to catch on to Laurel's dilemma pretty quickly. While she was busy, Nic glanced through the instafood to see what they had. And if anything in them could be picked out for a makeshift meal until they found something else for Laurel to eat.

Some of the dishes did have veggies in them but they obviously wouldn't be fresh. There was also an instabread, which was a simple loaf of bread. Nic had seen her eat some bread before. Meanwhile Laurel was grabbing him a fork and placing his food on the table.

So Nic set aside the instabread and the ones with veggies in them. It was better than nothing.

Laurel glanced at them, a little confused.

Nic didn't explain, making the instabread while looking around for a bowl to collect the veggies in.

Luckily, Wolfe had just cleaned some of the bowls and silverware.

Laurel seemed to catch on as Nic looked for a bowl, "I can do that," she told him, "You should eat before your food gets cold."

Nic didn't stop until she physically tried to stop him. Then he just went back to the table to eat his own food.

So Laurel make up the veggies and sat beside Nic, her back to Wolfe. "I didn't think about taking the meals apart," she admitted to him.

Nic shrugged, not judging her for not thinking of it.

It was pretty obvious that Laurel didn't like the taste of the instaveggies but she didn't complain.

Wolfe finally pulled away from the cleaning and looked at them, "Did you find your rooms?" he asked.

"Yes," Laurel stated, a bit of defensiveness creeping into her voice. Wolfe ignored it as he looked at Nic.

"You're healing well," he observed.

Nic didn't say anything since Wolfe didn't technically ask a question directed at him. But he glanced at Wolfe, acknowledging he had spoke. His glance wasn't quite as rigid as usual, but still cold. Maybe his iced heart was thankful he had been there to catch Laurel for him.

Wolfe seemed to read Nic a little and nodded slightly before turning back to the mess.

Laurel ate quickly, looking up at Nic when she was done. "Do you want more?" she asked.

"Here, play this game with me," Rosen told Missy when more of the cleaning and prep was done in the room.

Nic shook his head, eating a little slower than usual.

"I'm kinda tired," she sighed.

Laurel nodded and stood, "Then I'll start moving our stuff inside," she told him as she turned to leave.

Wolfe looked over his shoulder as she started to leave.

Nic would have stood up to do it himself, but she would make him sit back down and she'd get annoyed. Her current opinion of him was in too good of a place to justify the risk of tainting it when he knew he would be no help anyway. So he'd just save his strength for now.

Laurel caught Wolfe's glaze. Laurel frozen for a moment before hurrying from the room. Wolfe blinked, staring after her for a moment.

He shifted his eyes to Nic, "... Did I scare her?" he suddenly asked, voice expressing a bit of confusion through his usual blankness.

"Then sit right here and relax," he replied easily, patting the pillow beside him as he gave her a smolder.

Nic finished chewing before asking nonchalantly, "Did you?"

Missy tried to resist, but it didn't last too long as she shuffled over. She sat on the pillow with her head hanging a bit like she had been defeated.

Wolfe thought about it for a moment, gaze unreadable, "... I tend to scare people," he stated, "but I'd never deliberately scare her."

Rosen grinned and put a controller in her hand, "Look, it's easy," he stated before showing her his newest addiction. It was a pretty addicting game...

Nic nodded briefly, putting a little more thought into it before asking, "Anything happen when you got her back on the Juttle?"

Missy played a little. And then the hardcore gamer in her suddenly seemed to take over. "What the lava?!" she growled as she messed up.

Wolfe took a long moment to think over what had happened. "Laurel was in the same position most of the four hours," he explained. "When Rosen got too close she seemed to break and started screaming for him to go after her sister," Wolfe sighed, "So we decided to keep our distance until we got you back on board."

Rosen seemed very pleased with this development, until she started to beat him. "Stay outta my way!" he growled as he knocked her character down.

Nic thought about it critically for a moment before shrugging.

Missy cussed a little back at him, working on retaking the lead.
