Wolfe hadn't left his room to collect this things yet. He wasn't seem for a few hours.
Frei sat in Raven's room and watched him clean. -- Laurel finally was able to relax her muscles. But following what had happened months earlier, she immediately began to shake. |
Raven tried to get Frei's help cleaning.
When he was done with his room, Raven started exploring to find more cleaning supplies, particularly for the pool. -- So Nic stayed by Laurel, waiting for the shaking to stop. |
Frei clearly didn't want to help. She seemed content to sit and watch. But when he started looking for cleaning supplies for the pool, she seemed to get more involved.
There were cleaning supplies, though they looked a little old. -- It took much longer this time but eventually, she was able to stop shaking through she remained pressed to Nic. "... We..." she whispered in a cracking voice before pausing and trying to swallow the lump in her throat with limited success, "We all have scars," she went on, voice muffled by his shirt, "even if... some are more visible than others." |
So Raven got about working with what he had.
Nic didn't say anything. |
Frei turned out to be one of those backseat driver types as she kept pointing out things Raven was doing wrong.
Laurel didn't say more as she hugged Nic a little tighter. |
So Raven put Frei to work on the stuff he wasn't doing right.
|
Frei finally sighed and got to work. After an hour they got the filtration system back online. "... There's four other pools," Frei stated after a moment.
|
Raven paused a moment before letting out a long sigh. It was gonna be a long day.
|
"We should be able to access the main filter that cleans them all," she stated. It probably would have been helpful for Frei to have mentioned this main filter before they spent an hour cleaning out this one pool.
|
Raven raised an eyebrow, but didn't complain. Too much. "So where would it be?" he asked.
|
Frei looked him over, "I don't think you'd fit," she stated.
|
"Fit?" Raven asked. "... Do you want to give it a try?"
|
Frei's expression was unreadable. "... I'd get dirty."
Snow went to look for Blaze. |
"You could take a shower afterward," Raven noted.
Blaze was exploring the abandoned resort. |
Frei looked displeased.
Snow finally found her and called out, running up. "Isn't this place cool? It looks like it could be haunted," she grinned. |
"It's okay to get a little dirty every now and then," Raven reassured Frei.
-- "There's no such thing as ghosts," Blaze replied, waiting for Snow to catch up. |
Frei didn't seem convinced but she turned, gesturing for him to follow.
-- Snow smirked, "You want to get back at Kale?" she asked, "Kale and James? Because this place is perfect." |
So Raven followed.
-- Blaze didn't say anything, but didn't ignore her. |
Frei lead him to a huge underground mechanics area. She looked around for a moment before pointing out a small tube. It looked pretty gross, definitely hadn't been cleaned in a long time.
-- "Both of them... Wolfe too," Snow said, leaning in and lowering her voice, "are afraid of the supernatural." Her eyes were glinting. |
"Hmm," Raven mused as he looked at the tube. "We could try to clean it out a bit first. Or do you just want to give it a try?"
-- "There's no such thing as ghosts," Blaze repeated. |
Frei stared at him blankly before looking back at the tube. After a moment she started stripping.
-- Snow snickered, "You and I know that," she agreed. |
Raven collected Frei's clothes and found a towel for her when she got out.
-- Blaze didn't seem to get Snow's point. |
Frei had a small two-piece swimsuit on underneath her clothes. She hesitated a moment longer before sighing and crawling inside.
-- "Do you want to get back at him or not?" Snow demanded. |
Raven wasn't surprised. So he waited for her to come back out.
-- Blaze seemed unsure. |
Frei was in there for a long time. After an hour there still wasn't any sign of her.
-- Snow sighed sadly, "I guess you're not that angry after all..." she mused, "Pity, I thought you were a stronger woman than this." |
"Frei?" Raven called in after her.
-- That seemed to tick Blaze off a little. "Just because I think your idea is dirt, doesn't mean that I won't get back at him," she replied. |
Frei finally emerged as an unrecognizable muck creature. She really hadn't been kidding about getting dirty. She gave Raven a little feisty glare.
-- Snow rolled her eyes, "If you really want to get him back, take advice from people who know him well," she replied with a shrug. |
Raven managed not to laugh or say anything funny. Instead he just helped her out and started to clean her off. "How did it go?" he asked.
-- Blaze was silent for a long time. "... Ghosts really scare him?" she checked, sounding doubtful and a little disappointed. |
Frei's glare grew but after a moment, the mechanics started running once more with a large creak.
-- Snow smiled, "Not ghosts specifically... but of all things supernatural." |
Raven kept cleaning Frei up. "Good job," he told her.
-- "... So...?" Blaze asked. |
Frei sneezed, gunk spraying all over Raven.
-- "Cause some supernatural events," Snow replied, "The setting is perfect." |
Raven cringed and then laughed before wiping off Frei's face.
-- "... How do I know you're not pulling my leg?" Blaze suddenly inquired. |
Frei stuck out a black tongue at Raven, "We're going swimming," she informed him.
-- Snow smiled innocently, "Now, would I do that to a friend?" she asked. |
"After you shower and the pool water is clean," Raven bargained.
-- Blaze's expression said that she thought she might. |
Frei seemed to think it over, "For two hours minimum," she added.
-- Snow chuckled, "I'll show you an example," she offered. |
Raven thought it over for a little. "An hour and thirty minutes," he negotiated.
-- Blaze crossed her arms, but nodded after a moment. |
"Hour and forty," Frei said in a non-nonnegotiable voice.
-- Snow's smile grew, "Go visit Kale, and watch closely." |
"... Alright," Raven agreed.
-- Blaze stayed where she was, not looking like she wanted to do that. |
Frei smiled.
-- Snow rolled her eyes, "Want me to just catch it on film?" she asked. -- Rosen wandered around looking for Missy. |
Raven rolled his eyes a little as he took Frei to her room to get cleaned up.
-- "That would work," Blaze replied. -- Missy was busy tidying up her room. |
