well, my computer was a laptop. **shrug** my grandpa's good with computers. he took my laptop apart and combined my working parts with the working parts of my sister's dead laptop to make one fully-functioning computer. it was pretty incredible.

Oooooo that's quite nice. I just hope that my hard drive is ok.... That's all I care about.

I have so many projects that I cannot afford to lose. It's my fault that I didn't back them up. I'm quite terrible....

I hope your hard drive's okay too. but the hard drive breaking shouldn't break the computer anyway. I think you'd know if it was the hard drive.
on my computer, I fried the motherboard. :X I've also seen problems with screens, and TONS of problems with fans. never seen a computer break because of the hard drive.

I've already had to replace the scren and fan in this laptop. -sigh-

I also have to replace the DVD-ROM drive.... At this point.. I'm actually hoping its the mother board. I give up! I should have just gotten a PC.
