"Holden.." Solomon set Holden down on the edge of the bed, sitting next to him. "From now on, just keep your mouth shut about them. Alright?" He sighed looking to Azriel, "How common is it for demons to be able to manipulate Ethereal energy?"
Azriel sighed a bit, "A bit more common than vampires. Most demons aren't able to use it to it's full extent until they hit at least 900 years. And before you ask, Irith can manipulate Ethereal energy and reattach spirits, but unlike Mystic and myself she has to have a full circle." She pinched the bridge of her nose, "I don't know why Acera would want Abraxas back, the poor demon can hardly hope to match an Elder vampire in power..." Hayden watched Solomon and Holden with a frown, "Things are going to get worse..aren't they.." It was more of a statement than a question. |
Holden nodded to Solomon, he waited until Solomon and Azriel were done talking. "This is my fault isn't it?" He asked looking weakly at Azriel. "Because I had you bring Alicia back and Melody followed Alicia's spirit out. Right?" He asked with a frown.
"It's not your fault Holden." Alicia said rubbing Holden's shoulder. "I'm going to go and get some blood. Do you two want any?" She asked standing up. Alicia disappeared. |
Azriel shook her head, "It's not your fault Holden, it's mine. I should not have attached Melody to the doll, but rather sent her back in the first place. I'm sorry to have gotten you involved."
Solomon nodded, "If you wouldn't mind Alicia." He sighed, looking to Azriel, "Then leave her there. Irith would have no reason to come after you if she were to remain in the Ethereal realm. Right?" |
Holden shook his head in disagreement, "Even if you send Melody back, I don't think that this woman your talking about would leave you alone." He said pausing for a moment. "You and Mystic broke some ancient law bringing us back... Didn't you?" He asked looking to the floor. "And Abraxas wont leave me alone until he takes out Seth and Serus..." He said trailing off. "I'm just a footnote in his plan." He said closing his eyes. "Could it be possible that Abraxas and Irith are working together? Like she distracts you and Mystic, and he takes Seth and Serus out." He said with a frown. Holden sighed, "I'm not afraid of him."
"You should be afraid of me boy." Abraxas said sitting in his chair. "Now what should I do to you this time?" He asked himself. He smiled evilly as he started saying an incantation. He pulled out a knife and cut his wrist. Abraxas' blood floated from his wrist and disappeared. Suddenly Holden's mouth opened and he saw some blue blood floating in front of him. He quickly covered his mouth with his hands and the blood flew at Holden's hands. The blood made its way through his hands and rested on Holden's tongue. |
Azriel growled, searching the city for Abraxas. "There you are~" Without another word, she disappeared.
Solomon forced Holden onto his back on the bed, putting his hand over Holden's mouth and wrapping this telekinesis around the blood. Abraxas's hold was strong, but he was able to keep it from going down Holden's throat. Azriel appeared in front of Abraxas and Irith, "So, Irith, what twisted reason did you bring that piece of crap back for?" She pointed to Abraxas with a scowl, "You are perfectly capable of doing all this by yourself." Irith stood off the wall, narrowing her ice eyes at Azriel, "Well well well, if it isn't Azriel herself...the big bad wolf." She held her knife firm, pointing it at Azriel, "Shall we dance then?" |
Abraxas smiled as Azriel appeared. He kept his incantation going fighting against Solomon. "Your a strong one aren't you Solomon." He said concentrating harder on the spell.
Holden was doing all he could to keep his throat closed. Alicia appeared holding two bags of bottled blood, "This is the freshest they had." She said looking up. She cursed when she gathered what happened and set the bags down, she quickly ran over to Holden and put her hand on top of Solomon's. She used her TK to aid Solomon, Solomon was holding the blood back but she felt a surge of power from the demon. "Damn it." |
Solomon glanced to Alicia, "Can you hold it by yourself for a few seconds? I need to get Hayden the blood. She's not fully recovered; she can't quite walk yet...and I know it'd be a bad idea to stretch my telekinesis like that." He kept helping her, and would until she was positive she could hold it herself. If she couldn't, Hayden would have to wait.
Azriel drew her sword, pointing it at Irith, "You stand no chance against me Irith, especially not with him at your side." She rushed forward, bringing her sword downward at Irith's shoulder. Irith grinned, casually stepping to the side. She brought her foot up kicking Azriel hard on the back and sending her to the ground. "I would be more worried about yourself Azriel." She jumped onto Azriel's back as she went to get up, forcing her back to the ground. She put her knife to Azriel's throat, the skull's eyes on the hilt glowing bright blue. "Abraxas isn't the only useless demon around...you're precious Mystic isn't much better. I mean, he couldn't even sense me coming. It's a shame to kill such a handsome demon...you don't get too many like him anymore." She ran her knife along Azriel's neck, cutting it deep, "Oh, don't worry. I made sure he went quickly." Once the length of the blade was on her neck she began to pull it back with a sawing motion. Azriel tensed as she felt the knife dig into her flesh. As she felt the knife hit the vertebrae of her neck, her power flared. She released a massive amount of telekinetic energy, forcing Irith to crash into the wall behind them and knocking Abraxas from his chair and into a small crater in the floor. She put her left hand to her throat, forcing her power to focus on her neck. Within seconds, it was healed and she was standing up, her eyes a dark orange now. "Your first mistake...was accepting this job." She jumped at Irith, punning her to the wall with her right hand as her left grabbed her knife putting it to Irith's throat, "Before I kill you, I need you to answer a few questions for me." Irith flew backwards, crashing into the wall. The original impact of the attack broke a few ribs and cracked her skull, but nothing a few seconds of focusing couldn't heal. By the time Azriel came over, she was perfectly fine. She laughed as Azriel put the knife to her throat, "My dear, you know you can't kill me." She threw Azriel back with a blast of power, jumping forward and pinning her to the ground. She crouched on Azriel's chest, her claw like toenails scratching her armor a bit as she grinned. |
Alicia nodded to Solomon and put her free hand on Holden's throat. She moved her hand so Solomon could move. Sweat was pouring from her forehead, she was using a lot of power to help Holden.
Abraxas flew back and slammed into a crater on the floor. He lost his concentration and the spell broke. "Damn it, it looks like my plan is going to start ahead of schedule." He said as he disappeared. |
Solomon hurried over to Hayden, opening two bottles and handing them to her, "I trust you can handle that part yourself?"
She nodded, taking a few drinks, "Serus has been helping me a lot. You worry about Holden." Solomon nodded, "Good girl." He hurried back to Holden, sensing the spell break. He pulled the blood from Holden's mouth, throwing it out the window. "Holden..you alright?" Azriel knocked Irith off with a blase of telekinesis, standing up the moment Irith was off of her. She narrowed her eyes, "You have no reason to stay here, the doll is gone. Your job is done." Irith narrowed her eyes, "Now, what fun would that be? I come all this way and my job is done so quickly? I at least deserve a little vacation after doing so well...and killing you and those stupid vampires seems like a wonderful way to spend it. Now, you should probably hurry back to Mystic...he isn't doing so well right now." With that, she vanished. Azriel growled loudly as she disappeared, "Bitch.." She teleported back to her house, walking over to Mystic, "You're a marvelous actor you know." Mystic looked over, pulling his arm to allow the joint back into the socket, "Why thank you. It wasn't really hard to fool her." He smiled a bit as the various cuts on his person healed, "Although, she did do a good number on me..." He sighed, cracking his neck as it reset, "She left in the nick of time, I was almsot forced to heal before she left. That would've been bad. Now I can work in peace." |
Alicia fell to the ground when the blood was gone from Holden's mouth. She was breathing heavily.
Holden sat up, "I'm fine. I'm just sick of that fucking demon." He said with a sigh. He turned to look at Alicia, "Are you ok?" He asked scrambling to Alicia's side. "I'm fine, I haven't been able to store up my power." She said leaning on her elbows. Her skin was very pale. Holden placed his hand on Alicia's forehead, she was colder then normal. He kneeled down and grabbed the knife from his ankle and put it to his wrist. "Here is a little fresh blood to help you." He said sliding the blade across his wrist with a wince. He put it to her mouth, "Drink, now." Holden demanded. "Holden no. You need your strength." Alicia said grabbing Holden's wrist and healing it. "Bottled will be fine." She said letting go of Holden's fully healed wrist. Holden growled, "Fine." He said slightly annoyed. He wrapped her arm around his neck and helped her to her feet. He walked her over to the chair that was a few feet away. He gently sat her down, he grabbed his back and cracked it. "Damn your heavy." He said with a smile as he walked over to the bags. He grabbed two bottles of blood and opened one of the bottles and handed it to Alicia. "Hey are you saying I'm fat?" Alicia asked grabbing the bottle and chugging it. |
Solomon sighed, "Holden you need to stop cutting your wrist every time one of us needs blood. We've been through worse circumstances, we can handle ourselves." He sat down next to Hayden, stealing the bottle she had and drinking the last few drops of blood, "You owe me Hayden."
Hayden pouted, "Doesn't mean you can be a crab ass towards everyone and steal my blood." She took the empty bottle back and smacked him upside the head with it. Solomon rubbed the back of his head, "Well that stupid girl is causing me nothing but trouble again." He looked to Holden, "I'm sorry..either way, we'll let Azriel and Mystic handle this.it's their problem." |
Holden looked at Solomon, "This is the only way I can help." He said with a frown. "And that damn Abraxas keeps fucking with me and I'm getting sick of it." He said crossing his arms.
"Is that anyway to treat someone, who has spared your life?" Abraxas said as he appeared with someone standing behind him. "No you three you just stay there." He said as he wrapped Alicia, Hayden, and Solomon with TK so they couldn't move. He blew the knife out of Holden's hand, "Now Holden, I have a gift for you." He said with an evil smile. "I'm going to make your dreams come true. I am going to get you turned." He said locking Holden in place with TK. "Go ahead Abby." Abraxas said with an evil smile. "You son of a.." Holden said walking towards Abraxas. He tried to move but found himself stuck in place. His eyes go wide when he saw the female. "I-..it can't be..." Holden said trailing off. "So you noticed it, good boy." Abraxas said. "Hello father. Long time no see." The girl said as her eyes turned black. "How do you like my look? I am fifteen now." She said spinning. "Now back to business." The girl said as she got up to Holden. "Rax, get him on his knees please." The girl said pointing. |
Solomon sighed, making no move to break free. He was sick of all this crap already. The world hated him and strove to make him miserable by using Holden.
Irith soon appeared, grabbing Abraxas's horn with one hand, and the girl's hair with the other. "Excuse me Abraxas, but what the hell are you doing?" She threw him to the ground, pulling the girl over and holding the girl's chin, examining her, "You are really an idiot...you don't go making vampires when you aim to kill them." She threw the girl aside into the wall, her ice eyes narrowing at Abraxas, "Just leave these stupid creatures alone. Your quarrel is with Seth and Serus..use what little brain you have and focus on them. Jeez, it's like I'm babysitting a two year old..I should've just let you rot in Midway." She rolled her eyes, looking over to the girl, "You thought dying hurt the first time.." She pulled her knife from it's sheath. |
Holden was forced to his knees, he sighed, "Just kill me already." He said hanging his head in exhaustion.
Abraxas grunted when he slammed into the floor, "These creatures are my ticket to Seth and Serus." He said standing up. He smoothed out his clothes. The girls eyes got wide, and looked over to Holden. "Daddy, please don't let them hurt me." She said running over to Holden and hugging him. Holden sat limp in the hug with the child who claimed to be Abby. He saw the knife just a few inches away from him. He wrapped his arm around the girl as he picked up the knife. "Your not supposed to be here." He said moving the knife so it was just behind her heart. "No daddy." She said feeling the knife on her back. Tears were running down her face. "Your not my daughter." Holden said as he jammed the knife into the girls back and sending it through her heart. Killing the girl instantly. He looked up at Abraxas as he threw the girl to the side. "You are an idiot. You try to use my past against me? If you wanted to manipulate me, you should have used my sister Amanda." Holden said very angry. "Well, that is interesting. Goodbye kiddo." Abraxas said disappearing and letting his TK holds go. |
Irith peered over to Holden as Abraxas disappeared, "Don't give him any stupid ideas, boy. I've got enough damage control because of him." She walked over to Abby, crouching down and pulling the knife from her back, standing and throwing it at Holden. The blade lodged itself into the hardwood floor until the hilt forced it to stop, "Next time I see the doll near you, I won't let the Idiot toy with you...you'll be talking to me next time." With that, she disappeared, standing next to Abraxas now, "You really don't understand hostages, do you? If you want to get to Seth and Serus, take out Jaelynn. She's sitting in the Antinori manor as we speak..."
Solomon hurried over to Holden, kneeling next to him, "Holden..." Hayden jumped off the bed, teleporting mid leap to Seth and Serus, "Umm..I think you two have a problem..." Serus looked up from her desk, "What now Hayden?" |
Holden flinched as the knife lodged into the floor. He looked to Solomon with exhausted eyes, "I...I wasn't wrong in killing her... Was I..?" He asked with a frown. "M-..my Abby wouldn't of acted like that. E-..even if she was a vampire." He said looking to the body. He crawled over to the girls body and turned her over. He looked into her dead blue eyes, "Y-..you weren't her." He said closing the girls eyes. He noticed a white gold necklace around the girls neck, he gently pulled it from under her dress. His mouth dropped open slightly as he held the white gold locket of the necklace in his hand. He pulled it off of her neck, and he looked at Solomon. He opened the locket as he fell to his butt, "This picture was taken before she died. She asked me to include Amanda in this picture. She always felt bad that she got my all of my attention, and Amanda got none." Holden said clenching the necklace to his chest.
"I was just going to." Abraxas said disappearing. "Please don't tell me it has to do with the demons." Seth asked slightly annoyed. |
Solomon shook his head, "No Holden, you did the right thing. Abraxas corrupted her..she was not the Abby you loved." He went over, kneeling next to him and pulling him into a tight hug.
Hayden looked down, twiddling with the sleeves, "Y-yes...Abraxas to be precise...and a female associate." She gently took both their hands, showing them the memory of the two demon's faces, "A-Azriel said her name was Irith..." Serus sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose, "God..God dammit..what's he want this time? Mystic was the one who cut his stupid little head off...he should be after him, not us." |
"Why does it hurt so much Solomon?" Holden asked as he broke down and started crying.
"Son of a bitch!" Seth said putting his hand in his hair and pulling on it. He paced for a few moments. "Honestly, what is the point of taking a vacation if we get tracked down by a fucking demon that was killed like twenty years ago?" He said resisting the urge to punch the wall. "What did Irith and Abraxas say before they left?" Seth asked looking at Hayden with red eyes. Abraxas appeared behind Jaelynn, "Well hello there darling~ Long time no see." He said whispering in Jaelynn's ear. "Do you want to do this the easy way or the hard way?" He asked with an evil smile. |
Jaelynn sighed, looking back at the demon, "Took you long enough Abraxas." She stood from her chair, turning to face him, "Do you really have to ask?" She grabbed her knife, jabbing it into his left shoulder, just above his heart, "I should have no problem killing you."
Irith appeared behind Jaelynn, crouched on the desk. Her knife was already hovering over Jaelynn's heart as she materialized. "While that may be true, you have no hopes against me Vampire." She brought her free hand around, lightly dragging her nails along Jaelynn's skin cutting it slightly, "Shall we then?" Her eyes shifted to look at Abraxas. Solomon sighed deeply, holding Holden close. He knew what Holden was going through, but he just couldn't find the words to comfort him. Hayden looked away from Seth, "He only said that he was after you two..and..it seems like his partner is really the..'head' of it. I think she's after Melody and Azriel and Mystic." She looked back to the vampires, "Serus...u-um...I think Abraxas is going to try to use someone you care about to lure you out... When he was trying to get Holden, he said that he was the 'key to these two'; meaning you...but I think he knows better than that now..." Serus listened with an ever growing frown, "Just fucking gr-" Suddenly she tensed, her eyes wide. "J-Jae.." She wanted nothing more than to teleport to her daughter, but she was not stupid, not to mention there was a block around the Manor. She knew she had no hope of fighting two demons, "They're at the Manor Seth..they're going..." |
Seth growled, "For fucks sake." He said scanning the Antinori manner. "He wants me first." He thought to himself as he felt a hole in the block. "Hayden keep Serus here." He said walking over to Serus. "Love you hun." He said giving her a kiss and he disappearing. He appeared in his room, he went to the closet and grabbed a vial with the letter 'A' on it. He quickly chugged it and teleported to Abraxas. "Well Abraxas, it looks like you got me." He said crossing his arms.
Abraxas nodded and opened a spot only for Seth. He turned to Seth when he appeared, "Well lookey here. The big bad Seth finally makes his debut. I remember when you were the first one to arrive on the scene." He said as he activated his illusion powers so Seth couldn't see him. He quickly moved so he was in front of Seth, he punched his hand through Seth's abdomen and pushed him up the wall. He showed himself, "Not bad for a worthless demon right?" Seth groaned when Abraxas put his hand through his abdomen, "You know one thing I don't understand. Mystic was the one that killed you, not me or Serus." He said in a husky voice. "Well Seth, since you asked so nicely. I will tell you." He said moving his hand to Seth's lungs. "Wait there is no reason, I just hate you vampires." He said as he punctured Seth's lungs. He moved his hand so he was gripping Seth's cold dead heart. "Now good bye Seth." Abraxas said with an evil smile as he pulled Seth's heart out of his chest. "I'm sorry Serus." Seth said as he felt his heart being pulled on. He gasped for air as his heart was removed. A single tear fell down Seth's cheek. Annemarie screamed out bloody murder when she felt Seth die, "DADDY!!" Sean fell to his knees clutching his heart when Seth died, "No!" |
Irith looked over at Abraxas, "Dumb ass..you ruin all my fun." She dropped her knife from Jaleynn's throat, sheathing it as she disappeared. "When you finally learn to listen to me, come find me. Until then, expect Mystic or Azriel..."
Hayden had tackled Serus to the ground when she felt Serus getting ready to teleport, "Serus stop! Seth knows what he's doing." She was thankful she was a bit older than Serus, it gave her that extra push of power that she desperately needed to hold the vampire telekinetically to her spot. Serus's eyes glowed a bright red as Hayden pounced her, "Let me go your shrimp! I have to help him and Jaelynn!" She thrashed, sending a powerful place of telekinesis as Hayden, knocking her off and into the ceiling, "I'm sorry Hayden, but I have to." She felt the barrier weaken as the other demon left, quickly breaking through and teleporting. She lunged at Abraxas, tearing him away from Seth's body. She grabbed his shoulders, hauling him in an arc over her head and slamming him down on the glass coffee table, adding a blast of telekinesis to push him into the floor. Jaelynn whirled around as she smelt Seth's blood. Quickly getting over her surprise, she teleported over, grabbing Seth's heart from Abraxas while he was in mid swing then hurried to Seth, disappeared with him. She appeared at Solomon's house, having no idea where else to go. She looked over to Solomon and Holden, her ice eyes glowing slightly, "You've done limb attachments Solomon...how about organs?" Solomon looked over with a frown, then shook his head, "With my current power level, it's impossible..." He bit his lip, "Unless Azriel or Mystic was here..." |
Holden's eyes got wide when he saw Seth's heart in Jaelynn's hand. "Di-..did Irith do that to him?" He asked knowing Seth was dead.
Suddenly the vial rolled out of Seth's lifeless hand. Holden saw it and quickly went over to it. He grabbed it and examined it closely. Jen suddenly appeared next to Sean on her knees, "Shh darling its alright." She said rubbing his back. "Come, we need to be some place." She said picking him up and disappearing. Abraxas crashed through the coffee table, "Well Serus, how do you like that fact that I killed your darling husband?" He asked sending a powerful blast of TK at Serus. "Oh by the way darling I would be careful, I have Seth's soul right here." He said holding up a reddish gray orb. Holden looked to Jaelynn. "Seth told me that he was doing these experiments with vampires blood." He said thinking for a moment. "I don't know what the experiments were." He said looking back at the vial. He started picking the sticker, a confused look came over his face when the sticker peeled away "A-16-05." He said confused. "What does that mean?" He asked looking to Solomon. |
Jaelynn sighed picking the vial from Holden, looking at it. She took a whiff of it, then growled, "Well that was just stupid of him..." She tossed the vial back to Holden, standing up, "It's definitely vampire blood, and he was trying to isolate a specific power from the blood..which..it doesn't entirely work that way..most of it comes from the mind.." She placed her hands on her hips, "Either way, Serus mentioned these experiments to me quite a few times..I'm thinking this has astral projection...I can recognize the slight aura coming off it." She then tossed Solomon the heart, "Then I suggest getting one of them here. I have to go make sure that my disowned mother doesn't destroy my house..again." With that, she disappeared.
Serus narrowed her eyes putting up her shield to deflect the brunt of Abraxas's attack. What was left, only made her slide back a few inches. "Oh shut up Abraxas. Gloat all you want, you won't be getting to me that easily." She pulled a knife from a sheath on her back, twirling it expertly, "You should know by now that Psychic attacks have little effect on me Abraxas; I'm a master." She was about to jump, but paused. She didn't have a strong connection with spirits, but she could definitely recognize it as Seth. She clenched her teeth, gripping her knife tightly. It was rather hard to focus with the Twins and Annemarie screaming in her head. "Just shut up you obnoxious brats! Let me think" Suddenly, there was silence. She knew she had no where near enough skill with spirit manipulation to take Seth's spirit from Abraxas, it would be stupid to try. She would have to get him to release it into the Ethereal realm where Azriel and Mystic could get it later. Jaelynn appeared back in the study, sitting casually in her chair. She crossed one leg over the other, and waited patiently to yell at Serus. Solomon caught the heart, mildly perplexed, "And she expects me to do that..how? I've only done limbs..never an organ, yet alone the heart." He gently set the heart aside, rubbing his temples, "This is why we should've gone back to London when you were well enough to travel. By the way, Holden, can you contact Azriel? She cannot be sensed and therefore I cannot establish a link with her..I know you have one with her because of Melody..." He picked up the heart, replacing it in it's original spot, working to heal and reattach the vessels. Irith appeared silently in the corner of Solomon's room. She had pulled her hood over her eyes to prevent her from being noticed; as she could not be sensed by the vampires. "Perhaps you aren't a complete moron Abraxas...you just need the proper guidance. Now kill Serus already so I can go hunt down Azriel and that damn doll. I know she's back on this Plane..I can sense her..." Hayden clung to the chandler, not really looking to get involved with the demon or anything else. Besides, someone had to explain to room service why the couple in room 304 suddenly had to check out. Right? She sighed, letting herself drop tot he floor, hurrying to pack their belongings. |
"Sorry." Holden said looking down at the floor. He nodded, "Azriel, we sort of um need you." He said sounding like he was walking to the gallows.
"Go kill her, I am having fun with these vampires." Abraxas said as he started tossing the orb up and down. "I could just give this back to you. Or Jaelynn back there, I mean she knows some about spirits. Maybe she could put him back in his body." He said with a smirk. "Here you go Jaelynn, have fun." He said tossing the orb to Jaelynn. Suddenly Jen came flying in snatching the orb in mid air. She went to a rolling position hugging the orb to her chest. She disappeared before she landed on the floor. She landed on her feet a few feet from Solomon, "You must be Solomon, nice to meet ya. I'm Jen." She said still holding the orb close. |
Irith growled silently to herself wrapping a powerful tendril of telekinesis around Abraxas's brain, "Abraxas stop fooling around or I will detach you faster than you can blink. Kill them both already." She nearly jumped as Jen came by with Seth's spirit. "Forget it, I will take care of it myself." But she waited, patiently.
Azriel appeared, looking rather irritated, "Can't you stupid vampires go ten minutes without needing me or Mystic?" Her glare shot to Jen, holding out her hands, "Give it to me now." She growled, becoming rather impatient even though she gave Jen no room to react. She closed her fingers into a fist on her right hand, the spirit pulling itself from Jen's arms and hovering over her left palm. She gently grabbed it with both hands, examining it, "I can't believe you guys..you expect me to attach it to his old body? Fat chance...Were he human, possibly, but vampires are rather different you know." Solomon stepped back as Azriel appeared, "Well if you're so damn irritated with helping, then don't come at all. No one is making you." He stood up, dusting himself off, "Then I'll find someone for you to attach him to; just like you did to us." He motioned to himself, Holden and Alicia. Azriel opened a portal to place the spirit into to preserve it's energy. It was a bad idea to keep it on this plane any longer, "You don't get it Solomon. It's not my unwillingness to want to help you, it's the fact that for the past few days, my power has been stretched thin between hunting Irith and Abraxas, fixing Melody, and now you expect me to reattach Seth? Mystic and I are almost completely of power. You need to find a new pair of demons to help you." As she felt the portal open, Irith acted. She lunged from her corner, her clawed fingers grabbing the smokey orb from Azriel just as she let go of it. She slid on her feet along the floor, turning mid slide to face them with a dark grin, "You just can't keep yourself out of trouble, can you Az? First Ariel, then the vampires, and now the girl; twice at that. You're just itching to get banned..aren't you?" She put up a strong barrier around herself, one that the vampires could never hope to break as she tossed the spirit from hand to hand, "Who shall be first? What's left of Seth, Azriel and Mystic, or the precious little french girl?" As she spoke, Melody's form began to materialize next to her; within the shield. She caught the orb in her left hand, her right grabbing onto the mostly transparent shoulder of Melody and when she fully appeared, she gripped it tightly, her claw-like nails cracking and breaking through the plastic of the doll body, "I'm thinking it should be in this order: Girl, Seth, you two, then Serus and the rest of you worthless creatures." Melody's eyes shot open as she suddenly felt herself being teleported. Was Mystic sending her away for safety? She doubted that as soon a she felt a sharp pang in her shoulder. She tried to pull away, but was too weak at the moment as she had only been back for a few hours now. She felt a similar sensation as the first time she met this woman. And then the pain came as the woman's nails dig deep into her false body that had just been repaired. She closed her eyes tightly, wincing and letting out a faint squeal. Serus whirled around to see Jaelynn sitting in her chair..like she didn't give a damn. She narrowed her eyes as Jaelynn gave a slight carefree wave, "I will deal with you later Jaelynn" As the orb was thrown, she went to intercept it, but some young looking vampire did instead. She cursed, turning back to Abraxas, her eyes black with fury, "I will kill you to the point where you cannot come back." She lunged at him, sending a powerful blast telekinesis at him while doing so; her knife ready to jab into his skull. Jaelynn grinned, giving a slight carefree wave, "Morning." She made no move to even pretend to want to grab Seth's spirit, having every intention of letting it fall gently to her hands where she would protect it. Of course she would never let Seth slip so easily, but that doesn't mean she couldn't irritate Serus even more. Right? She frowned a bit as the unknown vampire intercepted it, "Aw, well..that sucks Serus." |
Holden skittered away when the demon grabbed Seth's spirit, his eyes got wide when he saw Melody. "No." He whispered. He wanted to help, but what could a human do against a very powerful demon.
Abraxas suddenly felt a click in his head, "Oops, I would love to stay and play but I have some business to attend to." He said disappearing before Serus' attacks could hit him. He landed in a dark room, he got on his knees, "Yes masters what is it you need?" He asked looking up. Jen let out a squeal as the orb was being pulled from her hands. When the orb was gone she quickly skittered behind Holden who in turn was hiding behind Alicia. |
Acera snapped her fingers, the lights flicking on. She looked down at Abraxas from her raised spot at the table. "You disappoint me Abraxas...You can't even manage to kill one little vampire without screwing that up. Now Az..oh..I lied..Irith has Seth's spirit but that's not to say Azriel won't get it back. While she will get her punishment, you require immediate attention." She stood, carrying a small standard looking dagger with her. She stepped down from the raised floor and stood in front of Abraxas, "You are a disgrace to demons everywhere. Why Irith wanted you at her side during her mission, I have no idea, but we cannot allow your stupidity to go unchecked any longer."
Serus crashed into the wall, making no move to get up. She sighed, and after a moment, she finally rolled onto her back and sat up, looking at Jaelynn. She opened her mouth to speak, but decided against it. Jaelynn pinched the bridge of her nose, "Serus..you really think I would let his spirit get taken by a stranger? That was Jen you moron...Sean's girlfriend...they're at Solomon's house..encountering some issues with the female demon." She stood, walking over and kneeling next to Serus, "Please...forgive me. You were right.." She reached into her pocket, pulling out a shiny new pocket watch. She turned it over, revealing the intricate Antinori Seal on the back, "Please come back...the Antinoris, and the Council needs you." Azriel growled, her hand going to the hilt of her sword, "Save yourself the trouble, just drop Seth and pull her stupid head off already. Save me the theatrics Irith and just kill me already; if that's what you aim to do." Irith grinned, "I will gladly comply~" She turned her hand over, the smokey orb falling form her hand and crashing in the floor. It's shape distorted as it flattened, then dissipated. She then took Melody's head in her now free hand, grabbing onto a chunk of her hair, "Did you want to say good bye Little Miss Melody?" Azriel flicked her hand ever so slightly as Seth's spirit dropped, turning it invisible and sending it to his body, "Get him out of here...get him to Jaelynn." She swayed a bit, having used quite a bit of power crudely reattaching Seth's spirit. Melody squealed, "N-no..not a-again..please!" She brought her arms up to the woman's hand around her hair, trying to get her to let go. "M-Mystic..Holden..s-someone please help..." Her voice shook as if she were crying, but no tears feel from her fake eyes. Irith looked down to her, "Aww...so touching~ You're worthless..you can't do anything for yourself you stupid girl." She began to pull on her hair, threatening to snap the joint of her head/neck area...the gears were already grinding roughly on each other now. Mystic came crashing down form his portal, his large frame landing on Irith's shield, cracking it with a thunderous noise. His eyes glowed a bright violet as he broke the barrier with his telekinesis. He landed on top of the two, being careful not to crush Melody and teleporting her to Azriel's arms, "I've got this under control love." He quickly pulled out his knife before she could react, stabbing her in the middle of her forehead. Melody's screams were silent once more as she was taken from Irith's grip. She clung to Azriel, her body shaking violently. Her terrified eyes glanced over to Mystic, wishing that she never followed Alicia out. None of this would've happened. It was all her fault. She went limp in Azriel's arms as she realized this, burying her face into the woman's armor. Irith laughed, feeling the knife penetrate her skull, "Mystic, dear.." she sat up after kicking him off her, "I don't think that will work..don't you remember the last time we tried this?" She grabbed the hilt, pulling it from her head, the wound healing instantly before a drop of blood could be shed. |
Jen already got the plan Holden had in his mind.
Holden looked to Alicia and nodded. He pulled Alicia and Jen up and dragged them across the room to Seth's body. "Solomon be ready." He said as he slid on his knees to Seth's body covering it with his. Jen's hand grabbed Solomon's hand and with her and Alicia on the same wave link they teleported to where Alicia could sense Jaelynn. When they landed Jen let go of Solomon and pulled Alicia and Holden away from Seth. She let go of Holden and brushed her dress off. "Sorry I..." She said trailing off feeling Sean holding her in place with TK. "Jennifer Morgan le Fay, what did I tell you?" Sean said appearing in front of her. "You my be my fiancee, but I would like it if you'd listen to me." He said with a sigh. Suddenly Jen slapped Sean across the face, "Excuse me Sean Jacob Ryan Augustin? You don't yell at me like that." She said balling up her fists. Sean grabbed Jen's head and placed his forehead on hers, "Sorry." He said as he teleported them away "Alicia let me know how Seth does.". Holden ran to Solomon giving him a hug, "I'm so sorry Solomon." He said nuzzling his head in Solomon's chest. He quickly took one of his hands off of Solomon's back and felt around his pockets, he sighed in relief when he felt the locket in his pocket. Alicia pinched her nose, "I can't believe I know you people. Anyway, Azriel was able to put Seth's soul back in his body, but you need to analyze the bond Jaelynn." She said with a sigh of worry. "I'm sorry Master Acera. If you'll give me one more chance to prove myself." Abraxas said looking down at the floor. "I can bring honor back to my name." He said not looking up from the floor. |
Serus took the watch gently, looking at it with awe. She was disrupted as the mass of people suddenly appeared in the study. Her body shook slightly as she saw Seth. She quickly looked to Jaelynn, "Even if I were to hypothetically decline..would you still help him?"
Jaelynn shook her head slightly, "Even if you were after my head." She hurried over, placing her forehead on Seth's as she closed her eyes, "I need you," she pointed to Alicia, "and Solomon to get me blood. Lots of it. As much as you can buy...We're both going to need a lot of it." Suddenly, both Jaelynn's and Seth's bodies became covered in ice as she entered the Realm. She knew this was a bad idea, but it had to be done. Seth was only..mostly attached to the body. She had to finish the connection. She traveled the Realm quickly, finding the remaining bits of Seth's essence and quickly attaching them before bringing herself back to the living world. She couldn't help but yell out, rolling off Seth and about on the floor, trying to warm herself up. Not to mention, she was on he verge of passing out now. I h-have to f-f-finish this f-f-f-first, she was so cold she could hardly think without stammering. She quickly rolled to her knees, stiffly moving over to Seth, replacing her forehead onto his as she worked on repairing the bond. As soon as Jaelynn's body 'thawed' Serus dropped the watch, hurrying over and wrapping herself around Jaelynn, being careful to not move her. The shared body heat should hopefully help Jaelynn focus a bit more...along with the boost of power she sent. Solomon hugged Holden tightly, "Don't be, I've got to go. Come on Alicia. We have mission." He grabbed her arm and disappeared. Acera frowned deeply, "What honor Abraxas? You've always been an insult to the community...I'm amazed your parents even dared to keep you." She shook her head slightly, bringing the knife to his throat, but not touching the skin. "Just be thankful, I'm sparing you another embarrassing death." With that, she thrust her arm forward, her knife easily cutting through the flesh and bone of Abraxas's neck. Seconds later, his head fell from his shoulders to be spontaneously set on fire along with his body. She shook her head again, "And now to deal with Mystic and Azriel." |
Alicia nodded as Solomon grabbed her arm. She broke away from his portal and landing in a blood store. "I'll take the West side of South Dakota, you take the East." She said slapping a credit card on the counter. "All of it." She said making her eyes flash red. She was lucky this girl was rich, not as rich as Holden or Solomon. But rich none the less.
Holden watched as almost everyone was gone. Serus and Jaelynn were deep in concentration, he frowned as he sat as far away as he could from them. He pulled the locket out of his pocket and stared at it blankly. "I-..I'm sorry master." Abraxas said as the knife went to his throat. He gulped a second before the knife entered his throat. |
"If you were sorry, you would not have continued to disgrace me you fool." She sighed, returning to her chair, crossing one leg over the other, twirling her hair around her finger, "Let's see...the doll is not really my concern..I just want those two dead..they think they can break my rules and get away with it? I think not." She looked to the man sitting next to her, "Don't you agree?" She gently ran her finger along his chin with a sadistic grin, "I will teach a lesson to the entire Community as to what happens when you disobey me like they have." Her red eyes glowed softly as she grabbed the man's neck, "Get me Azriel...Mystic will coming running for his precious wife within a few seconds."
The man nodded, "Of course Acera. I will have her in your hands by the end of the hour." With that, he vanished. Solomon slammed his card on the counter, "Give it all to me. Right now. I have no time to waste." The man nodded, hurrying about to get the order rang up and payment set. Serus began to feel weak and was forced to stop helping Jaelynn. She fell back slightly on her butt, going over to the watch and examining it again. She really meant her statement of stepping down. She was sick of handling everyone's problems and not having enough time for her own, or to spend time with her family. Her finger traced the pattern on the cover as she thought. "Holden..?" she looked over to him with a frown, "..are you alright?" Jaelynn swayed a bit, trying to stay focused at the task at hand. It took her much longer than when Mystic and Azriel had attached the spirits, as they did it the proper way. She had to start from scratch..no spell, no circle, and certainly no ring of demons to help her. Suddenly Melody found herself crashing to the floor in front of Holden; missing her entire right arm and her right foot. Her green dress was beyond repair; black and purple blood coated her body; obviously not hers. She looked around frantically, not understanding what had really happened the past 20 minutes. Her eyes quickly fell upon Holden and she did her best to crawl over; a few gears grinding against each other as she moved. She curled up on the floor next to him, shutting her eyes tightly. |
Alicia grabbed her card and the six bags of bottled blood, she nodded thanks and disappeared. She landed in another blood shop, she did what she did before.
Holden looked over to Serus with red exhausted eyes, "I-..I'm so useless. I can't even help my friends." He said looking back at the locket. "And that bastard Abraxas had the audacity to bring my daughter Abby back. And as a vampire none the less." He said squeezing the locket. He jumped when Melody appeared in front of him. He quickly grabbed a knife that was on the desk next to the chair he was sitting in. He cut his sleeve off and picked Melody up. He sat back down and started wiping the blood off, " ♫ Dodo, l’enfant do, L’enfant dormira bien vite Dodo, l’enfant do L’enfant dormira bientôt. Une poule blanche Est là dans la grange. Serus titled her head, "I'm sorry Holden...I would offer to turn you, but that decision falls to you and Solomon both agreeing to it." She stood, dusting off, looking at the watch for a second, "I really don't know what I'm going to do about this whole..Coven and Council business. I really..don't want to go back, but I have a feeling no one else is capable of running the Council...I mean, Seth is, but that's just..not his thing." She sat on the couch, watching Jaelynn, "And Jaelynn would much prefer to just have to deal with ou-..her Coven.." She sighed deeply.
Melody pushed herself into Holden's side, listening him to sing. She sat up as she worked to wipe away Azriel and Mystic's blood. She lifted her hand to sign, looked at it with a silent sigh, she lowered her hand and her head. She stared at the floor. It's not like Holden could help the two...he was just human now. Solomon teleported back to the manor after receiving his bags, set them on the floor then disappeared again, to hit up the other shops. Serus hurried over to the blood, helping herself ot three bottles. She opened four more, setting them by Jaelynn and Seth so they'd be readily available. She stood close by, putting her hand on Jaelynn's shoulder and feeding her more power as her body absorbed the blood. |
Holden sighed looking to Serus, "I'm sorry as well. Your problems are bigger then mine." He said looking back down at the broken Melody. "Do you know any lullabies Serus?" He asked as he searched his head for another one. "I sang this one to you in France, do you remember? ♫ Baby mine, don't you cry

Alicia appeared holding twelve bags of blood. She frowned when she saw Holden singing to Melody, and her bad condition. She quickly disappeared so her emotions wouldn't get the better of her. |
Melody straightened, recognizing the song. She nodded, listening intently. It did sound better in English than French of course. She blinked a few times when he was done, watching him silently. She tapped the floor with her cracked finger, then gently waved her hand up and down in a flapping motion. She paused, waiting to see if he'd figure it out. She tapped the floor again a few times, a few seconds between each tap as if mimicking a beat, then she motioned to the room, her arm jerking a bit as the gear skipped, then she flapped her hand again.
Solomon appeared shortly after Alicia had left. He set down the bags of blood, looking over to see Melody. He frowned a bit, turning his attention to Serus, "It amazes me how much power the Antinori's have..." Serus nodded, "Sometimes I amazing myself..." Finally Jaelynn lifted her forehead form Seth's. She mumbled something incoherent before passing out. Serus knelt down, giving Jaelynn the first few bottles of blood, "Can you give Seth blood Solomon? I'd greatly appreciate it." He nodded, kneeling down and giving Seth the blood as fast as he could without drowning the poor guy in it, "Of course Serus." |
Holden watched Melody intently, "Room? Waving?" He said a little confused. "It's a song right?" He asked thinking. He listened to her tapping, "From France right?" He asked going over the vacation in France when he saw Melody nod. He sighed, "Do you mean this?" He asked flapping both of his arms. He smiled when she nodded, because it came to him. "Room of Angel?" He asked still smiling. He saw her eyes brighten up he translated the song into English in his head, "

She grabbed one of the bags and rushed over to them. She started popping the tops off of the bottles, and laying them where they wouldn't get knocked over. |
Melody smiled, nodding as he got the questions right. She silently hummed along, swaying to the beat that played in her head. Her hand tapped at the floor, as if her fingers were dancing along the piano keys. Her hand paused as he finished, glancing over to Solomon with a frown. She looked back to Holden, doing her best to try and sign with one hand. As she watched herself, she found it hopeless to try and communicate that way. She glanced back to Solomon, pointing then angrily pointing at herself. He hated her again.
Jaelynn bolted upright as the blood was absorbed. She sat up straight, holding her head as a slight headache came on, "Thank you..." She looked over to Seth, grabbing a bottle and chugging it while she analyzed him, "I..think I got it...I did everything Azriel told me to.." Serus frowned hearing Jaelynn doubtful of her work, "You tried your best..that's all that count Jae. I..I've been thinking. You were right, and I was right...and we were both wrong. I'm sorry...but.." She handed the watch back with a frown, "I can't rejoin. I can't be always dealing with the problems of the world and ignoring my children and expect everything to be okay...and I would never dare rejoin the Coven while you were in charge; we'd clash with everything." She chuckled a bit, then looked away. She vaguely listened to Holden singing, rather pained by the lyrics. |
Seth groaned as his body started to heal, suddenly he rolled over to his side and started coughing up blood as his lungs re-inflated. "That bastard..." He said weakly as he rolled back to his back. "He better be dead, or I will kill him." He said grabbing his head. "No one messes with my Serus like that." He said cracking open his eye to look at Serus. "Hi hun." He said with a small smile. He gently sat on his elbows, "Not to be mean Holden, but can you stop singing such a sad song?" Seth said as he gently fell back to his back.
Holden just finished the song as Seth spoke to him, "Sorry Seth." He said looking down at Melody. |
Solomon stepped back a bit, handing Seth a bottle of blood, "We're not sure what happened with Abraxas...Are you feeling alright?"
Jaelynn nodded, taking the watch back, "I understand Serus...there's always a spot for you in the Antinori's if you change your mind. Now, if you'll excuse me, Ill be needing some fresh blood. Don't Solo, Alicia, I will pay you back. I promise." With that, she disappeared. Melody frowned, grabbing Holden's sleeve lightly, trying to get his attention. She pointed to Solomon, then back at herself, her face contorting to anger as she pointed at herself. She then relaxed her face, looking back at Solomon for a second. She brought up her left arm, trying to sign 'hate'...but failing rather miserably as her finger finally snapped off. She stared wide-eyed. Serus smiled slightly, then hurried down to the floor, sitting next to Seth. She hovered over him, her red eyes worried for a moment, before switching to fury. She brought her hand up, and slapped him across the cheek, "You idiot! You should not have gone after him alone! I can't believe you!" She sat there for a moment, glaring at him, then quickly pulling him up into a hug, holding him rather tightly, "I'm just glad you're alright though...I don't know what I would do if I lost you.." Solomon stepped away, going over to Holden and Melody, sitting on the other side of Holden, facing him. "Now you know what I was thinking Serus..." He gave Holden a quick kiss, "How are you feeling?" |
Seth grabbed the bottle of blood, "I'm good." He said taking a gulp of blood. "Ow! I was thinking I could get a few moves on him, but he went all whoosh." He said rubbing his cheek. "I am to Serus, and I'm sorry." He said wrapping his arm around Serus. He tensed as his heart finally fully reattached.
"I'm fine Solomon. But you should really dink some blood." Holden said looking at Solomon's face. "No offense, but you look terrible." He reached his hand in front of Melody's eyes, and snapped. 'He doesn't hate you.' He looked back at Solomon and narrowed his eyes, "If you ever do what Seth did to Serus, to me, I will hurt you. Got me?" He said kissing Solomon on the lips before he could answer. Holden rested his head on Solomon's shoulder, "I still love you Solomon." |
