*Peeks in*
Seems like the holiday's creeped up on us all.

Now if I only could find that last gift at a good price. . .

If only I could find gifts at all >.>

Also, I'm at an impasse in the avatar-creation process. If anyone'd like to throw ideas at me, go right on ahead.

i've saved the most involved gift for last - a NASCAR logo blanket for hubby. i'm pretty sure i told him i *may* not get it done in time....

Lawtan 12-10-2014 01:52 AM

I would, but I am likewise at an impasse.

*Throws ideas at Espy, gets smacked for bad pun*

Maybe something in the same shade of purple pink you have as tattoos and ribbon on your head area to balance it out?

Got a bread machine for my sister in a stainless steel. I hope she likes it.

Everything I buy I found on a deal site. Lots of people go to Slickdeals to post them, $40 off a bread machine to make it $60 was something I couldn't pass up and I remember getting Skyrim for $10 when it was selling at $40 everywhere else.

@Mek

We had a sewing machine once....well that's it. I don't remember much about it. Just that we had one.

@Belial

I've heard about them but a lot of those sites seem pretty shady to me.

Belial 12-10-2014 03:51 PM

The sites on slick deals?
or slickdeals itself?

I've yet to have an issue but that isn't to invalidate your opinion. This is just my personal experience with 2 years on the site.

8. My grandmother used to be big into quilting and one time had me hem a pillowcase back together when I was 5. Grandmothers are great teachers and so insightful. I really miss watching her put quilts together. She was amazing at utilizing the fabric scraps she had.

trystan830 12-10-2014 09:06 PM

that's pretty cool, Ginger. my mom quilts now. my grandmother used to knit and crochet, but i really only remember seeing her knit, even though we have some of her crocheted blankets.

i crochet. a LOT.

9. Aww that's awesome :) I crocheted back in 5th grade during my free time in class. I was of course socially awkward and channeled my feeling of not belonging anywhere into creative things.

trystan830 12-10-2014 09:24 PM

i've only been crocheting for only three years... but i was socially awkward too - i always had my nose in a book.

I would like to see you make an avatar with metal and robot parts. I know you do well with armor, but I'd love to see you use that armor to make something that looks less...organic. :3

10. I've done a lot of cross-stitch projects--I like that they require no artistic ability, just patience and precision and the ability to follow directions. I have those in spades but no artistic talents whatsoever. XD I'm thinking of learning to crochet, though, now that I've discovered amigurumi. SO CUTE. XD

trystan830 12-11-2014 01:19 AM

i love amigurumi... and i've made a TON of it... click the "ravelry" link in my profile. heh.

if you have any questions, Meghan, feel free to post on my profile or PM here, or poke me on Uni6 too. =)
