James took a little longer before his eyes hunted for Yue. When he found her he reached out, suddenly grabbing her face, pulling her in and kissing her.

Yue was rather startled, clearly not expecting it. She was rather rigid, but didn't try to pull away.

James pulled away after a moment when he noticed Yue's tension. "Sorry..." he murmured, rubbing her arm a little, "How long have I been...?" he voice trailed off a little.

Yue had to think about it awhile, but she gave him a rough estimate.

James sighed, "No wonder my head is killing me..." he muttered as he sat down, rubbing his temples.

Yue didn't say anything, still recovering a little.

James looked around, "It feels like someone was messing... with my head," he muttered, "And you don't look like you're doing much better."

Yue didn't comment.

James frowned before slowly laying down on the couch, "I'll ask you about it when my headache goes away," he murmured, sounding worn out.

So Yue let James rest and tried to get some rest herself.

When Nic fell asleep, Laurel left for awhile. She took Snow down to the gun range and got a few lessons before making her way back to Nic with a light porridge dish.

Kale stared at the food after having witnessed the foot massage and was starting to look a tad jealous.

Frei was smiling again for the first time in awhile as she insisted on going down the slide again and again with Raven.

It would take a little encouraging for Nic to wake up.

Raven kept it up for a good while, but tuckered out just before dinner. "Try it by yourself," he suggested. "I'll wait at the bottom for you."

When Nic finally woke up, Laurel took the pillows from under his legs and put them under his head, propping his head up, "You're eating," she informed him as she sat back down and grabbed the porridge bowl.

Frei looked a little scared.

Nic seemed a little confused when he woke, but not like before. He didn't try to fight Laurel. He did try to eat himself, but he got tired quickly.

Raven waited.

Laurel let Nic eat by himself for as long as he could before taking over. She was efficient and quickly the bowl was empty. She held the cup to his lips occasionally for him to drink some water and waited until he finished before taking both dishes over to the small sink.

Frei finally tried it. Every few steps up she paused and looked back. When she got to the top she sat down at the slide and seemed to freeze.

Raven continued to wait at the bottom.

Laurel settled back down beside him, "I suppose... this is the only time in our lives I'll be stronger than you," she mused.

It took Frei a long time but finally, she pushed off. She was obviously terrified and excited as she flew towards the bottom.

Nic didn't comment.

Like Raven promised, he was at the bottom for her when she hit the water.

"Part of me wants to take advantage of it," Laurel told him, "I suppose I'm still a bit angry."

Frei clung to Raven, really clung to him. Then, after a short moment, the smile was back and she was scrambling to get out of the water. She appeared to be a thrill seeker at heart.

It wasn't clear how Nic felt about that statement.

So Raven stayed at the bottom of the slide, ready to catch her as many times as she wanted.

"Like... dye your hair a weird color," she mused, "Or put make up on you." She paused, "Oh, right, if I did that you'd shut me out again and take more drugs," she sighed looking over at Kale who was giving her a thumbs up.

Frei turned into a little energizer bunny. It didn't look like she was going to stop soon.

That seemed to irritate Nic, but he didn't say anything.

Raven let Frei go until his stomach started to growl.

"Hmm?" Laurel mused as she looked back, "That bugs you? Why I wonder? Because it's true that your image is so important to you that you'd shut out everyone without a word? Take a dangerous drug and become dead to the world without a word?"

Frei finally stopped, she looked hungry as well.

Nic was trying to hold it back, but Laurel could tell he was getting angry. Yet still, not a word.

Raven dried Frei off a bit before sending her off to get changed and grab something to eat.

"Yeah, the truth hurts," Laurel replied calmly before egging him on further, "Your first reaction to anything that bothers you is to cut me off completely and walk away."

Frei ate more than Raven had ever seen her eat. Exercise seemed to do her good.

Nic slowly turned his head away from Laurel, doing just what she said.

Raven cut Frei off before eating too much.

Laurel actually laughed as she reached out and grabbed his face, forcing him to turn right back, "Hey, I'm stronger now, remember?" She was surprised at herself. It actually felt good to finally get this stuff off her chest. "You're not getting away from me this time."

Frei looked really confused. Apparently no one had ever stopped her from eating before.

Nic stared blankly at her for a moment. But it was different, something was wrong in his eyes. He tried turning his head again.

"Don't eat too much," Raven explained. "You'll get a stomach ache."

Laurel didn't let him, leaning down closer to his face, "You could have at least told me you were taking some dangerous drug, you boulder. You almost died! You didn't even have the decency to warn me!" she was getting really worked up now as her voice started to rise.

Frei blinked before stopped eating. She still looked a bit confused though.

Nic's eyes didn't change as he stared at her.

"Is this how it's going to be?" she asked in a voice quivering with anger, "You're just going to continually walk away from me?" she paused, ripping off her sunglasses and forcing herself to stare at him with pain-filled, furious eyes, "Then I'd rather you just leave me now, once and for all, because what you're doing is too cruel," she hissed, "If this is what's going to happen, I should have never left Chicago."

Kale had heard enough, he pushed a button to alert Blaze that he needed assistance.

Still nothing. Like he wasn't even there.

Laurel continued to glare at him before suddenly moving and straddling him with her knees on the bed. She grabbed his head and head-butted him, "You boulder!" she shouted, "I'm trying to break up with you and you're not even paying attention!"

Blaze was taking her time getting to the infirmary.

Laurel hit his head again with hers, "Crust..." she muttered, closing her eyes to shield them from the light and letting her head fall to rest on his chest, "I wish... I could hate you."

A little while later Blaze came walking in with another lollypop in her hand.

Laurel hadn't moved, still straddling Nic with her face hidden in his chest.

Kale actually looked pretty mad at Blaze when she finally came in.

Blaze walked over to Kale and handed him the lollypop, not noticing Laurel and Nic.

Kale pointed at Laurel and Nic, "Neither of them are responding now. Laurel blew up, Nic's mentally checked out," he summarized, "I don't want a damn lolipop, fix them!"

Blaze seemed a little startled as she saw Nic and Laurel. And then she seemed to get irritated that Kale was irritated at her for doing nothing. It was clear she wasn't happy as she put the lollypop down on the stand before going over to yank Laurel off Nic.
