Azriel stood, "Do you want to stay Melody?"
She nodded, knowing Azriel didn't know sign language. She nodded, "Well Holden will call me when you're ready to come back. Alright?" After the girl nodded, she disappeared. Melody smiled, jumping off the bed, 'I'll help you find him. I'm good at finding things.' |
Holden waved to Azriel, 'He shouldn't be far.' He said picking Melody up. "Especially since Hayden has that bird." He said with a chuckle. "I'm not going to be awake much longer." Holden said yawning.
|
She blinked, 'Bird? What bird?'
Suddenly Hayden yelled out and there was much squawking in the room. She could be heard trying to calm it down. After a minute or so, the bird was silent. She smiled, petting it gently and smoothing it's feathers down, "Shhhh it's okay." Melody sat there in his arms, staring flatly at the wall, 'She has a bird....why?' |
Holden shook his head, "I don't know, and I am not going to even try getting into Hayden's mind." He said with a shiver. "Solomon is probably up in the study." He said turning to the stairs. He walked up them and turned to the right slightly. He knocked on the door, "Solomon? I'm back." He said noticing that Solomon wasn't in there. "What the heck? I can't believe he isn't in here." Holden said closing the door and looking at Melody.
|
Solomon appeared behind Holden as the boy was turning around, "Yes Holden?"
Melody jumped a bit, glaring at Solomon, 'You scared me.' She smiled a bit, 'I hope it's okay if I stay a bit longer?' Solomon shrugged, "I don't care." |
Holden jumped and sighed, "I just wanted to tell you that we were back. But you already knew that." He said with a smile and then looked to the floor. "I was going to go to bed shortly. Is there anything you want me to do?" Holden asked looking to Solomon.
|
"I want you to eat something, but if you're really tired, you can just have an extra large breakfast tomorrow."
|
"I will eat, because I don't want to send Melody back yet." Holden said with a smile looking at Melody. "Lets go love." He said wrapping his arm in Solomon's. He started back down the stairs, and leaned his head on Solomon's arm. "Can it be something small? Like a sandwich? I'm still full from the soup." Holden said with a content sigh.
|
He smiled, holding Holden close, "A sandwich would be fine. As long as you eat, I'm content." He sighed as he heard Hayden yelling again, "Unfortunately, I cannot join you. I have to go kick out the damn bird and kick Hayden's butt for bringing it here." He gave Holden a quick, passionate kiss on the lips before disappearing.
|
"Ok." Holden said with a nod. He whined when Solomon broke the kiss. "I hate it when he does that." He said licking his lips. They came to the bottom of the steps, he sighed. "I'm sorry I am going to be sending you back so early." He said with a small frown. He walked into the kitchen and set Melody on the counter. Holden grabbed a few things from the refrigerator and started to build a sandwich.
|
Melody stood next to him, 'It's okay. We can always spend time together later.' She smiled, watching him as he made his sandwich.
|
"Yes we can." Holden said with a smile. He finished making his turkey, ham, and cheese sandwich. He cut it on the diagonal, and put the stuff back into the refrigerator. He looked at Melody, "Do you sleep?" He asked gently. He took a bite of his sandwich, "I miss not having to sleep." Holden thought to himself.
|
'I do..somethings. Mystic says that I get sleepy when I'm "low on power" or something like that.' She shrugged, 'Do you miss being a vampire?'
|
Holden finished the half of sandwich. "I do, like earlier today I could of wiped that shop keepers mind." He said with a sigh. "And I miss the heightened senses. And I was able to turn into an animal." He said with a small chuckle. He picked up the other half of his sandwich and took a bite. "I wasn't able to figure out all of the powers I had." Holden said taking another bite.
|
Melody nodded, 'I see. Would you go back to it if offered?' After a moment of silence, when she noticed that Holden was almost done with his sandwich, she frowned, 'I suppose you're going to call Mystic or Azriel now right?'
|
"Yes I would." Holden said with a sigh. "I was going to, but if you want to just lay with me for a little bit before you go that's fine as well." He said putting the plate in the sink. He picked Melody up with a smile, "I don't know why I'm so tired, I slept for six months." Holden said heading to his room.
|
Melody shrugged, 'I don't know..maybe cause you're not used to being awake?' She rested up against him as he held her, 'It won't be a bother if I stay while you sleep..right? I can sleep as well even if it doesn't help me. It's nice to relax.'
|
Holden shrugged as he entered his room. "No it wouldn't be a bother." He said with a smile. "But if you feel weak at all, wake me up." He said laying Melody down on the bed. He smiled as he walked to the other side of the bed. He sat down and leaned against the headboard, "Just don't wait until the last minute to wake me up." Holden said leaning his head back, shortly he was asleep.
|
She curled up next to him, 'I won't. I promise.' She closed her eyes, blocking out the noises. She soon found herself in a light sleep.
*** The rather slim female sighed silently pulled her hood over her face to hide her eyes. Her ice blue nails trailed along the length of her blade as she held it, watching the two people in the room. "Well look at that Abraxas...you were right...for once." She looked over, her ice blue irises glowing brightly against the black sclera, "You might actually get paid this time." |
Abraxas' smiled and his white teeth lit up the dark room. "Hm, you know I am liking the sound of that." He said running his hand through his gray hair. "As I said I will take the boy and distract everyone, so you can get the girl." He said as he moved closer to Holden. He put his hand over Holden's mouth, his long black claws were hovering over Holden's jugular. He started pulling Holden's energy away, so he wouldn't struggle. Suddenly he had the boy by the throat in the air. "Farewell for now Irith." Abraxas said as he disappeared.
|
She smiled, her sharp teeth glittering slightly, "Have fun~" She stepped over to Melody, gently brushing some hair from the girl's face, "It's a shame I can't keep you as my own pet. Azriel really knows what she is doing..her skill is unbeatable." Suddenly, she dragged her sharp claw like nails along the fake skin of Melody's face, "Time to wake up my dear~"
Melody turned sightly as she felt something touch her. Her eyes shot open as she felt a tearing sensation on her face..yet..it wasn't painful. She became tense as her gaze fell upon bright blue eyes. She couldn't see the figures face in detail, as it was dark. Her arms flailed around, searching for Holden. He wasn't there. Solomon cursed, appeared next to Serus, "We have an issue Serus. I can't sense Holden..he was taken..." He pinched the bridge of his nose, pacing back and forth, "All of the sudden, I couldn't sense him and now I can't even enter the room. Something powerful is blocking me." Serus looked over to Seth, "Come to think of it.." She could feel something off about her house. "I don't sense anything..but Holden is definitely missing..I can still sense Melody though..and something in there, but I can't figure out what it is." |
Holden slowly opened his eyes, he noticed he was tied to a chair. "Whats going on?!" He yelled getting worried.
"Quiet you human." Abraxas said stepping out of the shadow's. "You are to do everything I say or I will kill you." He said spinning a knife on his finger. "Now, lets get this thing started." Abraxas said grabbing Holden's hand and slamming it on the table. He started saying an incantation and took the knife and slammed it through Holden's hand. Holden screamed out in pain as the knife went through his knife. "Wh-..why are you doing this to me?" He asked in between sobs. Suddenly Seth grabbed his hand and flew off of the bed. "Son of a..." He said standing up. He suddenly fell to his knees grabbing his head. Abraxas smiled evilly as his spell went through to Seth. He put his hand on Holden's head. "Ohhh Seth~" He said going through Holden's link with Seth. "I just wanted to tell you that everything I do to Holden is your fault." He said twisting the knife in Holden's hand. "H-how is it my fault?" Seth asked himself as he flew backwards and into the wall. He stayed up on the wall. Suddenly two knives flew from nowhere and went through Seth's hands. He cried out in pain, then two more knives appeared and went through Seth's legs. Seth's head fell as he tried to pull out the knives. Abraxas stepped away from Holden, he closed his eyes and threw two knives. And made them disappear, after a few moments he threw two more knives and made them disappear. He put a bubble around Seth, he activated his illusion power and teleported by Seth. He pulled out a knife and inserted it into Seth's abdomen and sliced all the way up to his throat. He stuck his hand in Seth's blood and wrote on the wall, "Don't worry your precious Holden is fine... For now." With that Abraxas appeared next to Holden. Seth winced as his organs were cut in half. He didn't know what was going on. He couldn't see who or what was doing this to him. "A..." Seth said as he passed out. |
The woman then grabbed Melody by the arm, hauling her out of the bed, "Come on, I've wasted enough time hunting you down." She yanked on Melody's arm, causing the gears in her arm to grind against each other and spark underneath the plastic skin, "You know, I'm almost sorry that you're in the doll...you can't scream you pretty little lungs off!"
Melody was thankful she had no sense of feeling because the sound the gears made in her arm did not sound promising to her. She tried to pull herself away from the woman, but obviously could not. She couldn't use telepathy either because technically, she didn't have a brain. The skin on her face hung loosely as she looked up, worry plastered over her face. Solomon winced as Holden was jabbed with the knife, but other than that, he made no indication he felt it. He looked to Serus, "I'm not stupid Serus, I know the people who have Holden and Melody are demons, and that even if I'm 'technically' 500 years old, I'm not strong enough to fight them in this new body. You need to contact Azriel and Mystic." At that moment, Mystic appeared, "Yeah, I'm late sue me." He sighed, looking to Serus, "You and Seth need to get into hiding, and fast." His mouth hung open for a minute, as if he was going to say something else. Suddenly, he shook his head slightly, looking to Solomon, "You, on the other hand, need to help Azriel find Holden. Your connection with him is strongest of us all and with her boosting your power, you should be able to. I will take care of whoever's with Melody." He disappeared, appearing outside the room, as he couldn't get in. Azriel appeared, looking to Solomon, "Alright, focus." Once she could sense him searching, she grabbed his shoulder, amplifying his power. |
Seth woke up as his abdomen healed, he cried out in pain. Suddenly the knives fell out of his hands and legs. And he fell to the ground gasping for air, even though he didn't breath.
While Abraxas was gone Holden pulled out the knife he had tied to his leg. He started cutting the ropes, he was watching a feeling for Abraxas. "Come on damn it." He said as he felt one rope break. He winced when he stabbed himself with the knife. "This looks a lot easier in the movies." He said breaking through another rope. Suddenly Abraxas appeared and laughed evilly, "I missed messing with vampires." He said walking over to a window. He peered out the window. Holden jumped when Abraxas' appeared next to him. He stopped cutting the ropes. He growled slightly when Abraxas walked away. "Hush up. You should feel lucky that I haven't killed you yet." Abraxas said crossing his arms. "Well I wish you would hurry up." Holden said as he started cutting the ropes again. He made it to the last rope and stopped. "You are just an eager beaver aren't you?" Abraxas asked walking over to Holden. "Now this is going to hurt." He said as he pulled the knife out of Holden's hand. He held it to Holden's throat, "Now should I kill you or just toy with you some more?" He asked with an evil smile. He trailed the knife along Holden's neck and down to his crotch. "Now I'm sure your boy toy wouldn't like it if I castrated you. Or are you the boy toy?" He asked pondering for a moment. Suddenly he lifted the knife and jammed it into Holden's leg. "Just kill me." Holden said not faltering. He did flinch when the knife was in his crotch. He cried out in pain when the knife went into his leg. "You fucker!" Holden said spitting in Abraxas' face. Abraxas stepped back and wiped the spit from his eyes. "You are spunky, aren't you?" He asked punching Holden in the chest. Sending the chair flying into the wall and shattering. Holden laid on the floor gasping for air. His breastbone was fractured, he pulled the rope over his head. He noticed a strange looking sword on the floor across the room. Abraxas sighed and walked back by the window, "You know humans aren't so fun to torture." He said with a frown. Holden crawled over to the sword, he picked it up and used it to stand up. He pulled out the knife in his leg and threw it to the ground. Abraxas turned around, "Not my Bat'leth." He said teleporting in front of Holden. He picked Holden up by the collar. Holden smiled, "So you watched Star Trek?" He said with a laugh. "I bet you don't know how to use it." He said kicking the sword into Abraxas' leg, slicing it deep. Abraxas dropped Holden and stepped back, he growled "You little!" He said walking towards Holden. Holden rolled away and stood up, he swung the blade and kneeled down. When Abraxas was close enough he jammed and swooped the sword up. He swung the blade again. The blade jammed into Abraxas' abdomen and sliced up to his chin. The blade came up again and sliced his arm off. He cried out in pain and fell to his knees holding where his arm used to be. Holden winced as pain wracked his leg. He stood up and walked behind Abraxas, "Not bad for a measly human right?" He said as he jammed the sword into Abraxas' head. He grabbed his knees and breathed for a moment he then picked up the knife that was in his leg and hand. "You wouldn't mind if I took this would you? I didn't think so." He said as he ran with a limp out the door. When he made it to the street he leaned against the wall. "Solomon." Holden said as he started running again. {53.55} |
Serus hurried over to Seth, helping him heal his wounds, "Y-you alright?" She helped him up to his feet, supporting him, "What was that about?"
Solomon's eyes widened a bit, "I sense him. Azriel, come with me? I'm not really looking forward to being ambushed by a demon." She nodded, "Of course..." She teleported the two of them right in front of Holden., her sword drawn. Her mind stretched over the area, "Holden, which direction did you come from?" For the strangest reason, she could not detect Holden's path. The woman grinned darkly, her tongue running over her pointed teeth as she brought her foot to Melody's body and pulled her arm until the joint broke and ripped it off. She examined it for a moment, then tossed it aside, "I would enjoy this more if you could scream. Shall we give you a voice little Melody?" Her gloved hand went to Melody's throat, while her other hand held her knife, spinning it slightly. Her eyes glowed brightly as she gathered up her power, "Now scream for help..your life..anything. I just want you to scream." She pushed Melody against the wall, jabbing the knife into the center of her Marionette body. Melody's eyes went wide as the woman ripped her arm off. With her one hand, she began to claw at the woman's skin, but to no avail; her rounded plastic fingers could cause no damage. Before she could even process what the woman was saying; yet alone doing, she found herself having the urge to speak...and strange and painful sensations all throughout her body where she knew the plastic was cracked. What was this woman doing? Suddenly, she yelled out as the knife went into her torso. She was mildly surprised to hear sounds escaping her lips. How was this possible? Was it the strange woman's doing? "Let me go! Mystic!" Her words were hoarse and weak, but nonetheless they were there. She trashed in the woman's grip, tears would be rolling down her cheeks if she could produce them. Mystic paused mid spell, hearing something. His name. The voice was tiny, and hoarse. He stood there, his hand on the door, analyzing the power in the room. Oh no.. Quickly returning to his spell, he closed his fist and punched it, the power from his spell knocking the door right off the hinges and at the woman holding Melody. He rushed over at the woman, his knife drawn, as he tackled her to the ground. He placed his knife on her throat, the flames turning black, "What are you of all people doing here?" Feeling a rise in power, she jabbed her knife quickly into Melody's head knowing that's where most of her Ethereal energy was held, ramming it as far as it could go as it began to glow a bright cyan-blue color. Next thing she knew, she was on the floor with Mystic on top of her, "It seems I underestimated you Mystic. If you'll excuse me, I have to take the doll to Acera." Melody winced as the knife went into her head, but as soon as the woman lost contact with her, she no longer felt any pain. She opened her mouth to call to Mystic, but found she was mute once again. With a silent sigh, she let herself fall tot he ground; seeing as she couldn't stand any longer. She felt herself getting weaker as the knife continued to glow brighter, almost lighting up the whole room. |
Seth looked at Serus, "I..I don't really know. But I have heard the voice before." He said closing his eyes and thinking. "Its on the tip of my tongue."
Holden jumped back and wielded the knife. He let out a sigh of relief when he heard Azriel's voice. He grabbed his leg as it throbbed, he turned around and closed his eyes. "Sorry, umm," He pondered for a moment. "Twenty-five steps straight, then go right and go seventy-five? steps. Then go eight steps to the left and then my blood will be on the door to the house." He said letting out a sigh. "I did a number on him. I'm assuming he was a demon because he had long black horns." He said with a small smile as he turned around. "But he did a number on me too." He said looking at his hand, which finally stopped bleeding. He looked up and noticed Solomon, he walked over to him slowly, "Are you ok love?" Holden asked with worried eyes. Abraxas pulled the sword out of his head, and healed all of his wounds. His arm was almost fully regenerated. He let out a sigh as he sensed Azriel, "Not who I wanted." He said teleporting the sword to Holden and then disappearing. "Next time, you better kill me boy." Holden jumped when the sword landed next to him, he grabbed his head when Abraxas spoke in his head. |
Solomon quickly grabbed Holden, sending his body's repair code into overdrive. "I'm sorry I couldn't come sooner Holden...we had trouble finding you. Are you alright?" He looked to Azriel, "I'll take him back, you can investigate if you wish." With that, he brought Holden to his house; not the Antinori manor. He helped Holden to the bed.
Azriel was gone before Solomon could address her, sensing a rise in power. She recognized the aura that lingered in the room. She let out a low growl, "Abraxas..." She looked around, knowing he was no longer here. She couldn't find his portal either and that made her rather irritated. With a sigh, she sheathed her sword, "Now where did you run off to this time you coward?" Mystic pushed the knife down on her skin, cutting it rather deeply, "How did they find out about her?" His violet eyes glowed softly as he kept feeding Ethereal energy to Melody; sensing her levels dropping rapidly. She laughed, kicking Mystic off her and pinning him to the ground, pulling out a second knife that was identical to her first, "We're not stupid Mystic. When we could sense those spikes in Ethereal energy, we knew you and Azriel were up to something. It was only a matter of time until we found her. I thought you would've been better prepared for this." She jabbed the knife into his heart until she felt the tip scratch the floorboards, "Now stay." She stood, going over to Melody and lifting her from the ground, "Come on girly girl, we've got an appointment to keep~" Hayden peered in the doorway, hearing voices; unhappy voices and one was Mystic. Her blue eyes watched cautiously, knowing she had no chance against a demon. She thought for a moment. She had to do something. She owed it to Mystic to at least try. Biting her lip, she lunged forward, her twin Katanas materializing her hands as she flew. She tackled the woman to the ground, her swords lodging into her shoulders and penetrating the floor about two inches, locking the woman there. Mystic acted as he heard Hayden jump. He pulled the knife from his neck, jumping over as the woman dropped Melody and disappeared, "I'll be back shortly Hayden. Be careful." The woman snarled, kicking the vampire off her as they hit the ground. She pulled the swords from her shoulders and stood, jabbing one into Hayden's back, severing her spine completely, and the other into her skull and through the other side to the floor. "You should've just sat and watched Vampire." She growled a bit, seeing Mystic and Melody had gotten away. "Dammit..." With that, she appeared next to Abraxas, "That certainly was interesting." Hayden's eyes went wide as she felt the sword in her back. Before she could teleport away, she felt her other sword go right through her skull. Her body went limp and s he slid on the swords until she hit the floor. Solomon jumped, "I'm sorry Holden I'll be right back!" With that, he disappeared, appearing by Hayden's side. He stared wide-eyed for a moment, before cautiously removing the swords. With a growl, he worked to heal her back and head as much as he could; she would need blood to survive this and a lot of it. And so, he vanished with her, touring the city and grabbing whichever human he could. |
"I'm fine Solomon." Holden said with a smile. Holden nodded and continued to walk when Solomon disappeared. He suddenly felt weak and fell to the floor. He caught himself with his hands breaking his wrist, he rolled to his back. "Alicia!" He yelled trying to scoot to the bed.
Alicia appeared next to Holden, "Are you alright?" She asked helping him sit up against the bed. She grabbed his wrist and healed it. "I'm fine. I may be human but I can handle myself." He said with a wince as his wrist healed. "You should of seen what I did to that demon." He said with a smile. Alicia shook her head, "If you can handle yourself, why did you call me?" She asked putting her hand on Holden's head. "Holden you shouldn't of done that. You just made the demon angrier." She said sitting down next to Holden. "But I..." Holden trailed off. Abraxas looked at Irith, "Indeed it was." He said moving his fully regrown arm. "I also underestimated that human. The little boy cut my arm off." He said with a sigh. "We will strike again soon." Abraxas said with an evil smile. "Can you do me a favor Alicia? There was a sword next to me before Solomon brought me back here. Can you go and get it for me?" Holden asked looking at Alicia. |
She frowned, watching the street below them, "He was a vampire after all...it's to be expected. Perhaps we won't waste time with him. Seth and Serus seem like they would much more fun to torture. What to you think? Oh, I have a perfect idea~" She leaned over, putting her gloved arm around his shoulder while her index finger of her other hand gently trailed down his horn, "I think we should snag up Serus and torture Seth using her. How does that sound?"
Azriel turned, then disappeared. He wasn't coming back anytime soon. She reappeared next to Mystic, looking down to Melody, "Why is that knife still there?" She went to pull it out, but paused as Mystic gently grabbed her hand. "Wait.." She analyzed the doll, then frowned. "Well...it takes care of the dying part...do you think a regular attachment would work or shall I find another doll?" Mystic sighed, leaning back in the chair, "I don't know, dear. Should we even bring her back? Without her, those two have no reason to bother us...well, Irith doesn't at least. I'm not sure what Abraxas wants, other than my head probably." She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, trailing her one hand along his ear, "You know as well as I that Abraxas has no hope of even touching you. I think Holden would appreciate it if he could continue to see Melody. I mean, you could sense the grief he felt for her when they first met again. He obviously wants to make things 'right' for her. Can you blame him? She's had such a rough life...and she didn't get a happy ending; not even the second time." Mystic chuckled slightly, "Since when did you care so much about 'happy endings'? You've been spending too much time with her...where's the bad ass I fell in love with?" He smiled a bit, putting his hand over hers, "But, it's up to you. You're the Doll expert. Oh, speaking of, how was Ariel able to speak, but not Melody?" Azriel rolled her eyes, "I haven't become 'soft' if that's what you're implying...okay..fine..maybe I like her. She was..cute..." She cleared her throat, standing up straight as she crossed her arms over her chest, "Ariel was originally a demon...she could manipulate Ethereal energy and she retained most of her powers when she was attached. She used a form of telepathy, projecting it into the open air to make it appear she was actually speaking. And before you ask, Irith used a similar method on Melody but had to remain in contact with her, and no, I cannot give her a permanent voice unless she has a real body. I never got the change to manipulate her Ethereal 'code', so to say, before she left us so I have no idea if a regular attachment would work. The safest route for now would be to repair the doll and reattach her. It should come fairly easy, since she's familiar with the doll." Mystic nodded, "I will get to work then. See if you can track down Abraxas and Irith? I would love to cut his head off once more. I rather enjoyed it." He stood, taking the pieces of the doll he managed to gather and went into his workshop. This would take awhile. Serus led Seth over to the bed, sitting next to him as she set him down, "Don't worry about it right now alright? You need to rest. I will get you some blood. Fresh?" |
"Hm, that sounds delicious. That boy always does everything for her." Abraxas said with an evil smile. "He would basically kill himself." He said crossing his arms.
Seth quickly grabbed Serus' hand, "No, we are against demons. You can't go out alone." He said looking to Serus. "I'm not saying that your not strong, its just..." He said trailing off. Suddenly Sean appeared holding a red hared girl. "Here Seth." He said setting the girl at Seth's feet. "Now drink, I will go and get you some more." Sean said disappearing. Alicia turned on the light when she reappeared, "Is this what you wanted." She said as blue blood dripped off of the blade. "Yes! It is." Holden said reaching out to grab it. "It is a very cool weapon." |
Serus blinked, mildly insulted, but she understood. With a sigh, she grabbed the girl as Sean threw her, cutting her wrist for Seth and putting it to his mouth, "I understand, but I would've been perfectly fine. Besides, I have servants for a reason Seth."
Solomon finally appeared back at his house, holding his unconscious sister. He sighed, laying her on the bed seeing as Holden wasn't there anymore, "Don't worry..she's fine. She's just resting." He gently laid her head on the pillow, then turned to Holden curiously looking at the Bat'leth, "Interesting..choice Holden. You sure you're alright?" |
"I know Serus." Seth said as he drank the woman's blood.
Holden smiled then frowned when he saw Solomon holding Hayden. "Yes I'm sure." He said looking at the blade. "This is a lucky blade, I cut off the demon's arm with it. And I grabbed this." He said reaching over to the knife. "It was a pain to move when it was in my leg." He said wiping his blood off of it with his shirt. He then pulled his pant leg up and strapped the knife to it. He looked up at Solomon, "Don't look at me like that. If I wouldn't of had a knife there I would most likely would be dead." He said with a sigh, "But oh well." He said as he used the Bat'leth to stand. He lifted Solomon's arm, "Did anything happen to you?" Holden asked examining Solomon's arm. |
Irith grinned, showing her pointed teeth, "Marvelous~ Shall we strike..tomorrow? He'll still be weak from the damage you caused him. Not to mention, I know how to get Serus out of the house long enough for you to sneak in~" She held up her hand, a fairly transparent image of a blonde vampire appeared hovering above it, "They may be fighting, but Serus will come running for her. I promise I won't kill her though, I'll let you handle that. After all, I'm only after the doll."
Solomon shook his head, "Nothing that she hasn't done to me before..gah!" He winced when Holden grabbed his arm, as it was still fractured. He gently pulled it away resetting it again and continuing to heal it, "Just a few broken bones is all." He smiled, then glanced to Hayden, monitoring her closely before looking back to Holden, "I'm sorry to have left you so suddenly like that..." He gave Holden a kiss on the lips, wrapping his good arm around his waist, "I would've liked your body to be in better health before suggesting this, but perhaps you should be turned..and fairly soon. I have a feeling, we'll be seeing more of these demons." Azriel appeared in the room, her arms still crossed over her chest, "Holden, how long have you known Seth and Serus? How close were you?" She glanced to Alicia and Solomon, nodding a greeting before looking back to Holden. |
"Tomorrow is a marvelous idea." Abraxas said with a devilish smile. "It also gives me some time to regain some power." He said looking out the window. "Thank you for that." He said with a laugh.
"It's ok Solomon." Holden said kissing Solomon back. "It's up to you Solomon. You know best." He said with a smile. He turned to Azriel when she appeared. "Well technically about seven years. I only knew them for about a month before I died." He said pondering for a moment. "I was more close to Sean though. He creeped me out a little bit, but he showed me a lot of what happened with Seth and Serus. Including some of your little scuffle with them. Why?" He asked looking to Solomon, then back to Azriel. "Is Melody ok? She was sleeping right next to me, please tell me she is ok." Holden said walking closer to Azriel. |
Solomon pondered a moment, "I will check your body's health in the morning, then I will decide." He looked to Azriel, a bit worried about what she might say.
Irith smiled, "I may not like you, but I certainly don't want to spoil your fun either. After all, I cannot wait to rub it in your face when you come calling for my help against them." She laughed, letting him go and picking the dirt from under her sharp cyan nails with her knife, "Oh don't be so crabby, you know I'm just playing. You can handle them this time around..I would hope." Azriel frowned, "But technically, not long enough for you to have been all that involved with their lives..." She glanced to the floor slightly as he mentioned Melody. She was hoping he wouldn't, "Well...she uh..didn't quite make it through unscathed." She didn't really want to tell Holden this...Mystic is right...I've gotten 'soft'. Damn him. "The female knew exactly what she was and how to get rid of her..quickly...stabbing her knife into Melody's head to release the bond." |
Holden dropped the Bat'leth and grabbed onto the foot board. He looked to Azriel with pleading eyes, "But sh-..she's going to be alright, right?" He asked walking closer to her. "You and Mystic are very powerful, you can fix her." He said as he stood right in front of Azriel. Tears welled up in his eyes, "Please tell me you can." Holden said as a few tears escaped his eyes.
Abraxas sighed, "Well you do have Mystic and Azriel distracted, so they will be easy to kill." He said with a smile. |
"Oh, I'm sure." She sheathed her knife at her hip, her eyes looking back to him, "I'm surprised that human was even able to cut the ropes without you noticing. Was it a mistake for me to bring you back Abraxas?" She grinned darkly. She enjoyed teasing the demon.
Azriel sighed, placing her hand on Holden's shoulder lightly, "Eventually, yes. We;re going to repair the doll and reattach her to that for the time being. I'm not sure if a regular attachment would work for her yet, so we're taking the safe route. I'll send her by your way as soon as she can. Alright?" Solomon caught the large blade, not really looking forward to any damage to his new floors. "Why don't you just leave her there? She wasn't supposed to come back to begin with." He looked to Holden, quickly rephrasing, "N-not that I want her to stay there..I'm just saying. I'm sure it'd ease the load on you two, then that one demon would leave us alone. Correct?" Azriel didn't answer. Solomon was right after all...but she rather enjoyed Melody's company. Her innocence was...refreshing. |
"Oh I noticed. I just wanted him to think he killed a demon by himself." Abraxas said with a chuckle. "Plus soon he will be turned and will be moved up on my to kill list." He said with a smile. "After I take out Seth and Serus the vampire world will crumble and chaos will ensue. They will wipe themselves out." He said with an evil laugh.
Holden nodded and looked to the floor as he thought for a moment, he closed his eyes. "What was it?" He whispered. "It started with an 'A'." He whispered again. "I have heard his voice before..." He trailed off. He looked up and opened his eyes. "That demon was Abraxas, right?" He said with an 'ah ha' expression. "But Mystic killed him." He said thinking for another moment. "No wonder why I was able to cut his arm off. Mystic said that he sucked at being a demon." Holden said with a slight smile. Abraxas frowned closing his eyes and picked Holden up by the throat with TK. He was holding him about three feet off of the floor. "You better watch it boy. Or I will kill you before you can say don't." He said as he threw Holden to the floor hard with the help of TK. Holden suddenly clutched his throat trying to gasp for air. He started going to his knees but was suddenly in the air. He suddenly found himself hurdling to the floor, he landed on his arm and leg shattering them, and sending his femur through his skin. His ribs were fractured as well as his skull and back. He cried out in pain, "Why!?" Holden asked writhing in pain. Alicia fell to her knees holding her abdomen as Holden's body was broken. |
"You are very strange Abraxas...I would've just broken his neck already." She pulled her knife from it's sheath tossing it in the air and catching it by the hilt.
Solomon sighed, setting the blade down and helping Holden up and healing his wounds. "A lot of use you are Alicia," his tone filled with venom, "Do something other than just stand there." Hayden groaned a bit as she started to come to. She rolled over to face Solomon and the others as she cracked open her eyes, "S-Solo?" Solomon looked over, "Just a second Hayden. Holden's having a few issues. You're okay, right?" Hayden nodded, sitting up as she rubbed her eyes, "Yeah..just sore and stuff. Is Holden alright?" |
"I'm just starting to have fun." Abraxas said with a chuckle.
Alicia stood up and rushed over to Holden and Solomon. She wrapped Holden's arm around her neck and put her hand on Holden's chest. She sent as much power she could spare to Holden to help him heal. Her hair turned back to its normal blonde as her power depleted. Holden groan out in pain as his body healed. He opened his eyes, "I wasn't being cocky." He said as his head fell. |
