Serus kept her mouth shut. She did want to be a vampire, but if she drank Seth's blood, she would have almost none of her original powers. She quickly felt herself weaken, her mouth becoming slightly slacked. She felt his blood run down her throat.
"Seth! Do-" It was too late, he already bit her. "Dammit!" If Serus was going to be a vampire, she'd be an Antinori again, not an Augustin. She would not be pleased without her psychic powers, as that was what she was used to. She bit her lip then lunged forward, pulling Seth away from Serus, "Hold him dammit." She demanded of Kitra. When Seth was secured, she quickly bit down on her palm, splitting it open. She popped Serus's mouth open and let the blood drop. She knew some of Seth's made it through, and had no idea how this would affect Serus. The two different blood types might end up killing her...but she had to try. |
Seth didn't try and move when he got held down by Kitra. He knew Jaelynn was going to be mad at him for starting to turn her. He didn't care. He sat there waiting for Jaelynn to give Kitra the ok to let him up. "Annemarie!" He felt her being scared but angry at the same time. He gathered up the powers to teleport to her.
"Daddy!" She said as she killed a vampire that was attacking her. "Felix behind you!" She said as she threw one of her knives into the chest of the vampire behind Felix. "Thank you miss!" Felix yelled as he was in a battle of wills with another vampire. "Your welcome!" She said as she dodged another vampire that came at her. Seth teleported to Annemarie, he saw that Felix needed assistance. He grabbed a sword off of the wall and stuck it through the vampires chest but not enough to send it through Felix's chest as well. "Hunbun duck!" Seth yelled as he threw a knife through the vampires heart. "Are you all right?" Seth asked really scared. "I'm fine now that your here daddy." She said as she ran up to him. "Felix how are you?" Seth asked as he hugged Annemarie. "What the fuck was that sir?" Felix asked flabbergasted. "New York vampires, they want Annemarie to experiment on her to see what powers she has." Seth said as he picked up Annemarie. "Why do they wanna do that sir?" Felix asked taking a seat. "To tell you the truth I'm not really sure." Seth said as he hugged Annemarie again. "Its a good thing you got small knife skills from your mother." Seth said looking at Annemarie. "Thank you daddy." She said with a smile. "If you hear anything Felix contact me at once." Seth said as he put Annemarie down. "I have to go back to my meeting and tell them whats going on." Seth said as he teleported back to Serus' room. |
Kitra put her arms down as Seth disappeared, "Well then..anyway, Jaelynn..that was not a good idea." She sighed, kneeling down next to Serus, putting the back of her hand to the girl's forehead, "You know this could kill her, don't you? She's already burning up. You keep her hidden while she's unconscious, I will keep the council off your back...or try to at least." And with that, she was gone.
Jaelynn sighed, not answering Kitra. When she was gone, she gently placed Serus back on her bed. "And perhaps it's for the better if she does..." she muttered to herself. She sat in a chair, putting her head in her hands as Seth had reappeared, "This is just one huge fucking mess." |
"I know what you mean." Seth said with a huge sigh. "Fucking New York vampires came for Annemarie again." Seth said as he sat in the other chair in the room. "I thought that if we'd come back that they wouldn't come for her." Seth said as he rubbed his temples. "Jaelynn I'm sorry, I don't know what I was thinking. I... I..." Seth started to say but didn't want to. "Just a big fucking mess." Seth said as he put his hands in his hands.

She stood abruptly, "You have have vampires chasing you? Get out. Get off my property and go to Washington now. I don't want any more vampires coming this way. Get!" She shooed him away, quickly opening the secret room's door and carrying Serus to the bed inside.
Serus groaned slightly as she was moved. She felt like she just got ran over by a stream roller, followed by a semi-truck. She writhed a bit on the bed as the change began to take effect. Even though she's been through it before, it was still incredibly hard to be prepared for. Soon the pain became so intense, her screams echoed through the 3rd floor corridors. Jaelynn quickly covered her mouth, using her power to mute Serus. "You better hope this kills you..or else the Council will take care of it." She removed her hands from Serus's mouth, checking to see if Seth had left or was going to be stubborn about it. |
Seth did as he was told and teleported to his house. "Felix, Annemarie I'm home but I'm going to take a nap." Seth said as he laid down on his bed.
"Ok sir." Felix said still reading a book. "Ok daddy." She said as she pulled her knife out of one of the dead vampires. "I feel like shit doing that to Serus and Jaelynn." He thought to himself as he closed his eye's. |
Jaelynn tried to keep Serus comfortable through the process. It was difficult to do, but she managed to make it a bit better for her. After a few hours, Serus seemed okay, so she stopped. "So far so good I guess..."
Suddenly, Serus woke up, quickly curling up, her back facing Jaelynn. It was hard for her to not groan in pain every now and then. Her body just ached now, causing tremors to travel through her body. "Where's...Seth?" Jaelynn frowned, "I had to send him away. He's got vampires from New York after him. I have a feeling, the Council's hunters aren't too far behind them. He can't come back here until they leave him alone. I'm sorry." She shook a bit, then was still, "Did he say why?" She rolled over and sat up, watching Jaelynn's expressions, "Now you can't hide from me." She smiled a bit, "I think Seth should stay here, if he's got vampires after him. I did place a cloaking spell around my house about 300 years ago. He'll be mostly hidden." Jaelynn shook her head, "Absolutely not. He's to stay away until he can take care of it." "But..I want him here." She said quietly, looking down at the bed sheets; resting her chin on her knees. |
Seth awoke to Annemarie standing in front of him. "What's up hunbun." Seth said tiredly.
"You've been sleeping all day and I'm hungry." She said rocking back and fourth on her heels. "Ok we'll go and get you something to eat." Seth said as he sat up. "I want a burger." She said as she took a step back to allow Seth to get up. "Ok I'll get you a burger." Seth said as he stood up. "Yay daddy." She said as she jumped up. "Woah." Seth said as he caught her. "You almost caught me off guard hunbun." Seth said as he walked downstairs to tell Felix that they were leaving. "Felix I'm going to get her some food." Seth said with a wave. "Ok sir." Felix said not lifting his eyes from his book. *** Seth teleported back home. "Annemarie I got some business to take care of, so I'll be back in a few hours ok?" Seth asked Annemarie. "Daddy does this business have anything to do with those vampires from New York." She asked concerned. "Yes they do but I'm going to get them off of our backs." Seth said as he grabbed his katana and tied a small knife around his ankle. "Daddy I want you to be careful." She said grabbing his hand. "I'll be careful ok hunbun." Seth said as he gathered up his power to teleport to New York. "Be sure you are." She said as she stepped back to let him teleport. Seth teleported to the coven that has been attacking him. |
Jaelynn frowned, "I know Serus, but he can't lead any vampire here. If they find you..."
Serus nodded, "I know Jaelynn..Neeh!She grabbed her torso tightly as her muscles began to ache again. The pain was making it hard to breathe, but soon, it subsided and she flopped backwards on the bed, "It was not this bad when I first changed...what's different? Seth gave me his blood, but I don't really feel anything like I should. I should feel some elemental pull..Im guessing. Yet, all I feel is my mind expanding as my psychic powers kick in again." Jaelynn looked away, "Well..I uh..pushed him away giving you my blood. I know how much being part of the Antinori clan again meant to you, so I had to." |
Seth killed any vampire that came between him and the master. Seth finally made it to the master. "I challenge you to a duel and if I kill you, your coven leaves my family alone." Seth said as he looked around the room to get a feel for it. "Ha you have no chance of beating me, I am the last remaining rotting vampire. Since I know your name Seth you shall know my name so you know who killed you. Christian is my name and you will soon fear me." Christian said as he got up and took off his coat. "I have killed the two most powerful Raksasha vampires." Seth said as he stepped forward. "So it is true you are the one who killed Dragos and Layla." Christian said very interested. "Do you wanna have a cup of tea or shall we fight?" Seth said drawing his sword. "You young people have no patience." Christian said as he launched himself at Seth. Seth lunged forward with his katana, when Christian was close enough. He swung Christian to the ground where he pushed the sword deeper into him. Christian gasped as the sword went into his body. He suddenly found himself on the ground. "Ahh so the boy is quick." He thought to himself as he kicked Seth off of him. "You will know pain." Christian said as he grabbed Seth and flung him against a pillar sending his through the pillar. Seth was surprised when he got kicked off of Christian. "I have known pain before and you wont deal it to me." He said as he was grabbed and was thrown into a pillar a went right through it. "Fuck my ribs. Why are my ribs always broken within a few moves?" Seth thought to himself as he got up. |
Serus nodded, "Oh I see...that explains it then." She flinched a bit, clenching her head in pain as her psychic powers began to fully activate. It wasn't so bad, this part she knew very well. She had experienced it few times from the Strigoi's she had created. After a few minutes, she relaxed, sitting up again, her hair covering the sides of her face so Jaelynn couldn't see her expression. "You know, I never realized how much I actually wished my eyes worked..until now. It's so..wonderful being able to see."
Jaelynn looked over, sensing Serus was in pain, "I can never relate to that experience. Perhaps, that's what gave you your advantage? You not being able to see, worked like how it does for a human. Your senses were already heightened when you were blinded, then further more when you were turned. Not to mention your senses would be even higher than that of a normal vampire due to it. And since you were always using your powers to see and get around, you were constantly building your power." Serus shrugged, "I wouldn't doubt it...but either way, I'm just your average old Strigoi now." Jaelynn gave her a serious look, pulling out a knife, "I can blind you again you know..." Serus looked at her, shocked, "Fuck no. I like my eyes, thank you. I can do without the extra boost. Perhaps it will keep the Council from finding me then." |
As Seth got up Christian pulled Seth's katana out of his abdomen. "Ah at least you know how to use a sword." Christian said as he threw the katana across the room.
"I've been using swords since I was human." Seth said as he telekinetically set his ribs. Seth ran at Christian, but when he got close he was grabbed by Christian and sent through a table. Christian grabbed Seth when he was close enough, and threw in threw the table that was behind him. Christian didn't want to kill Seth well at least not yet. "You need to use your opponents momentum against him." Christian said trying to help him before he killed him. Seth got up off of the broken table "So much for me setting my ribs before." Seth thought to himself as he grabbed Christian. He spun him around to try and disorient him before he threw him. When he found the mark where he wanted to throw Christian he let go sending him into his chair and shattering it. Christian was getting dizzy as he felt Seth let go of him. "Well that was interesting. I wonder where I'm going to land." He thought to himself as he flew into his chair shattering it. Christian got up and brushed himself off. "Very interesting Seth, now let's see if you can handle this." Christian said as he raised his hands up summoning his animals. |
Serus frowned, her mind automatically establishing telepathic links with a few people. She started to feel pain in her ribs until she controlled her link with Seth. "He's hurt..he's battling someone.." She focused tightly on Seth, peering through his memories for whom he was fighting. "So he's real.."
Jaelynn was relaxed feeling Serus's presence in her mind again. She tilted her head as she spoke, "Who?" Serus sighed, "Christian. " She stood from the bed, exiting the secret room to her main bedroom. "You're not going to like what I'm going to do next..." She took a breath, getting ready to teleport where she was picking up Seth's mind. Jaelynn quickly grabbed her shoulder, locking her in place so she couldn't teleport, "Ah, ah, ah, I don't think so. You can't go anywhere. You have to remain in my cloaking range." Serus quickly grabbed Jaelynn's shoulders, throwing her in an arc onto the bed, "Jaelynn, I have to." She quickly dispersed her energy, teleporting herself to where she could sense Seth in New York. She had been this way many times, but never in this exact spot, so her aim was a bit..off. She ended up landing on top of Christian, rather than next to Seth. She quickly rubbed her head, "Owww..." |
Christian felt someone coming in above him but was in the middle of summoning and he couldn't move when the woman came in and landed on top of him his summoning was canceled.
"Ser...Elysia! What are you doing here?" Seth yelled as he grabbed her off off of Christian. "So Seth you brought help that is highly unfair." Christian said as he got up. "Since you brought help I guess I can call for it." He stuck his hands up again to summon. "Damn it!" Seth said as he grabbed the knife from around his ankle and threw it at Christian's hand. It went right threw his hand, stopping him from doing whatever he was doing. Christian felt the knife going through his hand. "Damn it. How dare you keep interrupting me?" Christian asked as he pulled the knife out of his hand. "I guess the only way to show you what I got is to knock you and your little girlfriend down." Christian said as he lunged at Seth. Seth dodged but Christian grabbed Seth's arm. "Fuck." Seth said as he was suddenly in the air. Before he got thrown on the ground he moved the air to have Seth on top. He moved his legs to a sitting position and moved Christian's arm behind his neck. He hoped it would break his arm so he couldn't use his magic. Christian didn't know what was going on when he wasn't on top of Seth anymore. "Elementalist?" Christian said as Seth hit the ground breaking his arm. "Gahhhhh!!!" Christian yelled when his bone went through his rotting flesh . Seth felt and heard Christian's arm break. He got up ready to attack as Annemarie came through. "Daddy are you alright my ribs are hurting." Annemarie asked holding her ribs. "I'm fine hunbun." Seth said sounding out of breath. "No your not, I can tell." She said firmly. "Your right I'm not alright I'm in the middle of killing the scumbag that's after you." Seth said telling her to stop talking to him. |
Suddenly was suddenly thrown aside as Christian grabbed Seth. "Eeep!" She crashed into wall, rubbing her head some more, "Ow, and he didn't call me, I came of my own will thank you. Either way.." She stood, a bit shaky at first as she was a bit weak yet from the change.
She pulled herself up and dusted herself off, "Never thought I'd get the unfortunate pleasure of seeing a rotting vampire. Quite disgusting..makes me kind of wish I was still blind." She hardly noted Seth calling her Elysia, since she already knew exposing herself like this was risky. She noticed that Seth seemed distracted as he didn't notice Christian coming his way, "Seth! Look out! She lunged forward, grabbing Seth's katana on the way. She brought it down swiftly at his shoulder. She knew this would have no damaging effect, but it would keep him from using magic while Seth recovered. Just before impact was imminent, she landed in front of him, spinning around quickly and bringing the sword around from the side, with a touch of an uppercut thrown in there. |
Christian lunged at Seth. He didn't notice this woman was in front of him. "Ahhhh!!" Christian yelled as the sword cut into his arm. He stopped dead in his tracks,and landed on the ground face first.
"Shit!" Seth yelled when he noticed Serus behind him. Seth quickly jumped in the air and landed on Christian's back. "You don't wanna make her mad." Seth said as he grabbed Christian's head and snapped his neck. He knew that it wouldn't do anything but he knew he had a few seconds to talk to Serus. "You need to get out of here, I don't know what I'd do if I lost you again." Seth said as he got up off of Christian. Christian snapped his neck into place and got up. He lunged at Seth from behind knocking him on top of the woman. "You really need to stop getting distracted." Christian said as he picked Seth up. He threw Seth into the air and before Seth could act Christian grabbed Seth and threw him stomach first into his knee. Seth suddenly felt Serus under him. "Are you.." He couldn't get out the rest as he was in the air. He felt Christian grab him while he was in midair. He saw Christian's knee and he couldn't stop from being rammed into it. "FUCK!!!" Seth yelled when his abdomen made contact with Christian's knee. Seth rolled away from the impact. "Run Elysia!" Seth said holding his ribs which were all broken now. |
Serus was suddenly on the ground again as Seth landed on top of her. She let out a grunt as the air was forced from her lungs. Unfortunately, she still needed them yet, as she was not fully changed at this point.If I keep getting knocked over I think I'll become part of the damn floor. she thought bitterly. "Im..' And then Seth was gone, flying through the air. "Hey, only I can kick his ass like that!"
She did a kip-up, quickly getting to her feet and straightening her hat nonchalantly. She smoothed out her dress, then suddenly was in a low fighting stance, "I betcha I can hold your attention if I told you a secret." She gave him a wink, throwing a telekinetic attack at him to knock him off balance. She then lunged at him, tackling him to the ground. She leaned close to his ear with a soft chuckle, "Perhaps, in the back of your mind, you notice something. 'That woman looks familiar..especially with that hat..'" She began in a low tone, trying to intimidate him while Seth worked on healing his ribs. She hopped she could buy enough time, as she used the rest of her power with her last attack. She didn't have much stored up, since she didn't feed or complete her change yet. Her mouth hovered over his neck, as if she was going to bite him, but she didn't. He was quite nasty looking with his rotting flesh. "My name is Serus Marie Antinori...leader of the ever-powerful Antinori Coven. Perhaps you've heard of me and my...antics." Of course, she was referring to the Raksasha's, though she doubted he knew the real truth. "No?" She said, sitting up and tilting her head so her bangs covered her eyes in a slightly menacing way. "Let me give you a bit of a history lesson. I can re-write history Christian...you know of the Raksasha's I assume, and their unfortunate demise. Well, here's another secret.." She leaned down again, whispering in his ear, "You see...it wasn't my Coven that exterminated those vampires..it was all me." Her eyes glowed slightly as she grinned darkly. |
Christian sat there listening to her. "Do you seriously think I believe you, you little fledgling." Christian said as he pushed her high up in the air almost hitting the ceiling with his good arm.
"Elysia!!" Seth said as he saw her fly up in the air. He quickly set his ribs, and slowed down the air so she wouldn't get hurt. He slowed it enough where she was inches from the ground and he let her go. Seth got up and ran at Christian, when he made it to Christian he punted him in the head. He kicked him with enough force to make him fly up and spin in the air. Seth wanted to go and help Serus but he didn't want to get ambushed from behind again. Christian felt the kick in the head it nearly broke his neck. While he was in the air he adjusted himself so he could land on his feet. "Well dear boy I think I've tooled around enough, its time for me to kill you." Christian said as he lunged at Seth's neck to drain him of his blood. Seth looked at Serus and then back at Christian who was lunging at his neck. "You have no hope of killing me Christian." Seth said as he waited for the moment when Christian was close enough to him. Seth jumped in the air and dropped kick Christian. Seth kicked him so hard that he went flying through the closed wooden doors. When Seth landed on the ground the force from the fall unset his ribs again even sending one through his lung. Christian was so close to killing Seth that he could taste his elemental blood running down his throat. He noticed Seth jump up and by now he couldn't stop his momentum. He got kicked in the sternum which shattered. He went flying backwards not knowing where he was going to land. "Shit." He said as he flew through the wooden doors. A large piece of the door went through his body. |
Serus found herself in the air again, the force from Christians hands cracked a few ribs. As Seth eased her down, she grabbed onto them, wincing. "Fledgling?" she gasped out, coughing up some blood. She barely had enough power to keep the damage from getting worse as she tried to breathe. "I'll have you know, that I am not some fledgling. Tell him Seth.."
She closed her eyes tightly, putting her forehead to the floor as the pain only got worse as the last bit of her power was drained trying to repair the damage. She should stop talking now. |
"Fuck." Seth said as he punched the floor. He looked up and saw Serus' blood on the floor. "Serus!" Seth said as he got up and slowly ran over to her. He gently flipped her over and cut his hand, he held his hand up to her mouth he let some blood trickle down her throat.
Christian got up and quickly pulled the piece of door out of his body. He fell to the ground in pain. "This boy is good." He said as he walked up to Seth who didn't even know he was coming. He picked him up and sent him flying into another pillar. Since he only had one hand Seth didn't go crashing through it this time. He picked up the woman who called herself Serus by the throat. "Well you little bitch I will kill you then him and then the girl." Christian said with an evil laugh. Seth felt Christian grab him by the collar and throw himself at something but he didn't know what it was. He crashed into another pillar. "Damn it!" Seth yelled when he hit the floor. He looked up and saw that he had Serus by the neck. Seth concentrated and threw a huge wind at Christian, blowing him back and him dropping Serus. Seth got up and ran at Christian he jumped on top of Christian. "You will never touch her again." He said as he grabbed Christian's good arm and sent it over his knee hopefully breaking it. "You will never mention Annemarie again you son of a bitch." Seth said as he started to punch Christian in the face. Christian felt the wind coming at him. He got blown back and sent into a wall. When he was thrown back he let go of the woman. Christian stated to get up but before he knew it Seth was on top of him. Christian felt Seth grab his arm and break it across Seth's knee. "FUCK!" Christian yelled as his second arm was broken. Christian wanted to get away but he had very little power left plus he was down two arms, he knew that the end was near. |
Serus grabbed Christian's wrists, trying to get him to let go, but was unsuccessful. Suddenly she found herself on her knees, gasping for the air that could now get down her throat. She couldn't help but yell out as her knee-caps broke from the impact. Her forehead hit the floor with some force this time as pain shot through her body.
So that's what having your ribs break felt like. It sucked. She had never really experienced great pain before, having been so strong to start. But now, she was not favoring her decision to come help Seth. She fell to her side, the pain in her knees becoming too much. Seth's blood did help a bit, but there wasn't enough given to her to fix her bones. She did notice, however, she could get a link to Jaelynn, "Jae..I made a huge mistake coming here.." Jaelynn sighed in Serus's mind, "I told you not to go. You should've listened to me. Any other day I'd let you learn your lesson, but today..not so much." She teleported to Serus her eyes glowing as she formed a barrier around the two while she gave Serus a quick once over. When she found it safe to move Serus, she picked her up and teleported back to the manor. "Maybe now you'll think twice before you act." She dropped Serus on the floor, crossing her arms over her chest. Serus howled as one of her ribs punctured her lung. "Ja..nn" She barely managed to gasp out. Her breathing was ragged for a few seconds, until it stopped, but she was still writhing. "Oh..now I don't need my lungs. Perfect." |
Seth felt Jaelynn's presance. He figured she was here for Serus. Seth just kept punching Christian in the face for a few minutes. He stopped and got off of him. "Any last words you piece of shit?" Seth asked as he put up his hand.
"None other than I hope you and your daughter burn in hell." Christian said as he felt his blood draining. "Well I'll see you there." Seth said as he snapped his fingers pulling in all of the fire from the room. He sent it at Christian hearing his blood curdling screams made him feel better somehow. Seth watched as Christian's body burned to a crisp. "Well that's done." Seth said as he fell to his knees. "Fuck I need to get out of here." Seth said as he used almost all of his powers to teleport back to his house. "Daddy!" Annemarie said as she ran up to his collapsed body. "Sir are you alright." Felix asked as he ran to Seth. "I'm fine I just need some blood." Seth barely got out. "I'll get you some right away sir." Felix said as he ran to the kitchen. "Daddy why do you do this to yourself?" She asked as she bent down beside him. "I do it for you hunbun." Seth said with a weak smile. "Jaelynn how is Serus?" He asked as he passed out. "Daddy!?" She yelled not knowing if he was dead or passed out. |
jaelynn sighed, having s sort of suspiscious tone, "Yup...she's okay" She sat down on the chair closest to her shaking her head as Serus rolled in pain. "Perhaps now you'll listen to me for often Serus."

Seth woke up a few hours later to Annemarie and Felix standing over him.
"Daddy!" Annemarie said when she noticed Seth was awake. "Sir!" Felix said at the same time as Annemarie. "You two don't have to yell." Seth said as he tried to sit up, but couldn't because his abdomen was heavily taped. "Daddy you need to stay laying down." Annemarie said as she pushed Seth down. "I need to go check on something." Seth said as he tried to get up but Annemarie stopped him. "No daddy." Annemarie said as she stopped him from getting up. "Your not going anywhere until your ribs are healed." She said putting her foot down. "Ok hunbun. Felix can you get me a human?" Seth said as he looked at Felix. "Sir?" Felix asked confused. "You heard me, I need blood straight out of the human." Seth said firmly. "Ok sir." Felix said as he went out of the room. "Hunbun when Felix comes back I want you to leave I don't want you to see me drink from a human." Seth said as he looked at Annemarie. "Ok daddy." Annemarie said looking at her feet. |
Serus glared up at Jaelynn, "You know..you could go get me some blood.."
Jaelynn shrugged, "Yeah..I could..but I don't really feel like. I'm awfully tired from the days events. Perhaps I'll take a nap." Serus hissed slightly, "I'm going to hurt you." She rolled to her belly, slowly climbing up to her feet. She let out a grunt of pain holding her torso before falling backwards, due to her broken knees. "Jaelynn! I swear!" Jaelynn picked out non existent dirt from her fingernails, "Yes Serus? Oh look at the time! I'm late for our weekly meeting. So sorry, but I can't miss this one. Bye~" With that, she disappeared. |
Seth's ribs were feeling better after feeding. "Can I go now hunbun?" Seth asked Annemarie.
"Fine daddy. But no more fighting for you today." Annemarie said waving her finger at Seth. "Don't worry hunbun I wont fight anyone." Seth said as he slowly got up from his bed. "Felix be sure and to watch over her." Seth said as he stood up. "She'll be fine sir." Felix said looking at Annemarie. "Good." Seth said as he gathered up his power and teleported himself to the kitchen to grab some blood for Serus. He once again teleported himself to Serus' room. "Serus? Why are you on the floor?" Seth asked as he put the bottle of blood down on the dresser and rushed over to Serus. "Here let me help you." Seth said as he picked her up off of the floor and carried her to her bed. He felt every rib pop out of place when he picked up Serus. He gently put Serus on the bed. "I brought you some blood." Seth said holding his ribs. He walked over to the dresser and grabbed the bottle of blood. He brought it to Serus. "Here you go." Seth said with a smile. |
"Nope, nope..I'm..fine.." It was too late. He was going to move her anyway. Serus winced a bit as she was moved, letting out a slight grunt of pain. At least, not she didn't need her lungs, as she could feel blood pouring into them. "I'm going to need..much more..than that.." She quickly popped the cap off, chugging down the blood.
It didn't allow her to do much, but she at least got her ribs out of her lungs and the holes patched up. She took a deep breath as her lungs cleared out, then sighed, "A lot more.." |
"I'll go and get you more." Seth said as he took two steps and grabbed onto the bed post. "Fuck, my ribs are killing me." Seth thought to himself. Seth gathered up his power and teleported to a blood shop. "I need ten quarts of blood." Seth said walking up to the counter.
"Right away sir." The man said as he walked to the back to get some blood. "I hope this is enough." Seth thought to himself as the man came back. "That will be $1,000 sir." The man said with a smile. "What a fucking rip off." Seth thought to himself as he laid the money on the counter. "Thank you sir, have a nice day." The man said as he counted the money. "Ya." Seth said as he grabbed the bags that had the blood. He teleported back to Serus' room. "I brought ten quarts of blood hopefully that will be enough." Seth said as he put the bags down next to Serus. Seth handed a bottle to Serus. |
Serus smiled, "It should do." She popped the cap off once more, tilting the bottle back and quickly drinking the blood. Suddenly there was a snapping as her ribs reset and the internal damage started to heal. She quickly pulled out another bottle, downing that one two. After about four bottles, her knees healed up completely.
She didn't particularly need anymore, but she drank a few more, just to make sure she could build up her power. She left two bottles for Seth, "Take them..you're ribs need to be reset." She sat up, stretching her torso before standing and doing more stretches. "Mmmm...now that's how it's supposed to feel." |
"Thanks Serus but they are fine." Seth said with a weak smile. Seth sat down in a chair. "You never told me why you came when I was fighting Christian." Seth said as he opened one of the bottles and started to drink it. "I just wanted to get him off of ou... My back." Seth said hoping she wouldn't notice.

She laughed a bit, finishing her stretches before she answered him. She sat down on the bed, "Because..when you first started the fight..I could feel the pain he was inflicting on you as my telepathy started to kick in. I had to make sure you were okay, but I guess you didn't need me." She frowned slightly, looking at the floor, "I only got in the way though."
After a moment, she looked up, confused, 'Our'? Is that what he was going to say? She watched him closely for a moment, before asking, "'Our'? What do you mean by that?" |
"Nothing I don't even know why I started to say our." Seth said nervously.
"Daddy?" Annemarie asked. "Not now." Seth said flailing. "Not now hunbun." Seth said as he looked at Serus, and gave her a oh shit smile. "Shit she's gonna find out about Annemarie and she's gonna kick my ass." Seth thought to himself. |
Serus gave him a suspicious look, "What aren't you telling me? I can sense you're lying. You were distracted from the battle by someone talking to you telepathically, and now they're at it again." She stood, stepping over and looking at his eyes closely, "Tell me Seth."
Now she could easily go in his mind and find out, but she wanted to have that sense of trust between the two. She sighed, straightening up and crossing her arms over her chest, waiting for his answer. |
Seth sighed. "Fine I'll tell you, when you died I went exploring the country looking for someone to teach me the elements. I found someone in New York." Seth said taking a breath. "After I mastered the elements I hung around with my teacher, helping her coven in a war with another coven." Seth said as he looked at Serus. "Anyway I fell in love with her but not as in love as I am with you. We got married that year and she got pregnant with my child." Seth said looking down at his hands.
"After she gave birth to my child, she got killed in a battle. That was almost six years ago. My daughters name is Annemarie." Seth said leaning back in the chair waiting for Serus' response. |
Serus listened quietly. She didn't know whether to be angry, or understanding. She understood his situation, since he thought she was dead. She was proud he was able to move on and be moderately happy. However, on the other side, she was furious that he could even think of loving another woman.
She clutched a chunk of her dress, wringing the fabric as if strangling it. She didn't say anything for many minutes, trying to figure out how she felt about this. She kept her eyes away from him, looking at either the floor or her hands that were strangling her dress. |
"Serus I... I'm sorry." Seth said depressed. "After Annemarie was born, do you know how much I hated myself? I got you killed, and if she wouldn't of went out to battle a few hours after she had Annemarie, if I would of stopped her she wouldn't be dead either. You both died and its all my fault." Seth said as he sobbed into his hands. "If..." Seth started to say but he couldn't stop crying.

Serus sighed a bit, still not looking at him, "You don't need to cry Seth. I'm not exactly happy for you, but I'm not mad either." She let the fabric go, folding her hands in her lap. After some more silence, she looked at him, a slight glare on her face, "I don't want to meet her. I don't want her anywhere me, or my house."
She stood up, going over to the window bench and sitting down, her back to Seth. She wanted nothing to do with this child. She let out another sigh, letting her head rest on the window, closing her eyes. |
Seth stopped crying. "I understand, if you need me just call me." Seth said as he teleported to his room. He got up and locked the door. He went into the bathroom and took a shower. After he got out of the shower he put on clean cloths. "Felix, Annemarie I do not want to be bothered. Annemarie if you get hungry have Felix take you out to eat, I want to be alone for awhile do you understand? Seth asked as he laid down on his bed.
"Yes sir." Felix said as he looked at Annemarie. "But daddy." Annemarie said but didn't argue. |
Jaelynn appeared moment later, her arms crossed over her chest, "That," she paused,"was uncalled for." She narrowed her ice blue eyes. "He only did what anyone else would've. We had no idea that you could've possibly survived. You have no--"
"Jaelynn! Enough! I underst--" "Annemarie is a very nice little girl. So her mother is some other vampire, it doesn't mean he loves you any less. You know as well as I that he could never love anyone like he does you." She stepped over, grabbing Serus and pulling her from the bench, forcing Serus to look at her, "You should be happy for him, that he was capable of being happy again. I've always known you were a bit selfish and self-centered, but I never imagined it would be to this degree." She narrowed her eyes, letting Serus's face go and turned so her back faced the woman, "You either apologize, or I will expose you to the Council." Serus's mouth dropped, "You wouldn't dare! You'd damn my coven for his sake?" Jaelynn whirled around, shoving Serus back down onto the bench, "No, Serus. My coven. I can always lie about how you were changed to save my coven. I will not allow you to hurt him like that. He'd surrender his life for you without a thought. You cannot possibly be so vain that you honestly can't be civil for him and his daughter for the sake of his happiness?" She let out a growl, then teleported to Seth's house in Washington. Serus was forced back onto the bench, but quickly got up, clenching her fists. Before she could say anything, Jaelynn was gone. She yelled out in frustration, her power lashing out and slicing her bed into pieces. |
Seth laid on his bed with his arm over his eyes. He felt Jaelynn appear. "Yes Jaelynn what do you want?" Seth asked not even moving. "Are you here to tell me that you agree with Serus, cause if you are I want you out of my house." Seth said as he pointed to the door. He sat there waiting for Jaelynn's response.
