Randy's grin returned as he ducked just out of reach of the blade, having sufficiently restored the safety that was being at war. And so they fought, circling and striking in a familiar sort of dance almost like a pair of snakes, while B watched in horror from the window of the shop.
Kurt lost his knife at one point and as Randy's hand came in reach of his face he caught some of Randy's fingers in his teeth. He held there his eyes fixed on Randy green blood rolling down his chin.
Randy's eyes widened as he watched Kurt intently, frozen in place not with fear, but excitement. He felt no pain, but he could tell that the teeth had already sunk in deep and his fingers were held fast. His grin spread from ear to ear. "Go on," he mouthed, breath held too tensely for actual speech.
Kurt's teeth met, tearing through flesh and bone with a sickening crunch.
Randy withdrew his mangled hand, eying the bloody stumps where two fingers had been. He gave the remaining fingers a wiggle as though waving at himself, then started giggling...
Kurt spat out Randy's fingers and began to laugh right alone with him, a cold, harsh sound that bubbled up from inside him.
Randy's laugh grew from a gleeful giggle to a loud howl. How invigorating it was to have an opponent like Kurt, to have a relationship so intense! He'd been shot and stabbed and beaten, but no one had ever challenged him like this. Their bond was sealed, and he knew that no matter the temptation, he could never simply hand Kurt his life. If Kurt wanted it--and how Randy hoped he did!--he'd have to fight tooth and nail for it.
"I'm going to kill you one day...." Kurt breathed, "This is war!"
Randy expressed his agreement with a Schickelgruber war cry, a loud screech that rattled windows several blocks away.
Kurt wiped the blood from his chin with the back of his hand, "I'm going to kill you one day..."
"Wouldn't have it any other way," Randy panted, aroused on all fronts. He glanced toward the shop window and nodded to B, who was looking quite afraid and miserable as she prayed that the pause meant the fight was over. "But not today, sug'."
Kurt's demeanor instantly changed and without a backward glance he ran to B to see if she was alright.
Randy saluted Kurt with the hand which still had the appropriate fingers, then turned and headed for the nearest secluded spot in which to tend to himself. Tending to his wounds could wait a few more minutes...
B was shaking, tears staining her cheeks. She shied away from Kurt when he neared her. "Why were you both laughing?" she wanted to know. |
"Because war is a game for us, a deadly game but a game and I will win one way or another or I will die trying," said Kurt.
B took a deep breath as she attempted to calm herself. She had begun to wonder what she'd gotten into by becoming involved with Kurt, and after what she had seen that day, she was even beginning to wonder whether it was a good idea for her to remain involved with him. She loved Kurt, but she didn't like his and Randy VIII's "game" one bit.
"He does not own me, I have to prove that to him, it's the only way he'll ever let me be free," said Kurt with a sigh, his energy evaporating, "If he would just leave...."
"He... he's not going to leave... is he?" B sniffed and looked at him. "Would you be happy if he did?"
"If he left I could move on with my life, I would have my freedom, what could make me happier than that?" Kurt asked whistfully.
"I don't know," B said softly. "Let's just go home now..."
Kurt nodded, "I'm sorry you had to get caught up in this...but it's likely to continue until one of us wins. If you want out of this relationship now...I'll understand,"
B paused, but decided against saying anything. It seemed awful to leave Kurt alone at a time like this. Maybe things would get better...
Things seemed to die down, as long as Randy didn't come near Kurt, Kurt was content to tend his garden, do his job and spend time with B.
Of course, Randy VIII did not leave Kurt alone entirely. But he was not the only thing that Kurt had to contend with in Kenny. There were also Pac-fairies, and one day they saw fit to change him in a very notable way...
Kurt rushed into his house, "B! OH B! It's terrible! Look at me!" he opened his coat and showed his wife his chest, which now sported two small, rather flat, breasts.
B raised her eyebrows. "You've got... You've got little boobies!" She stifled a giggle. "Did the Pac-fairies get you?"
Kurt nodded and grimaced, "I can't go to the station like this! I'm a woman!" he growled although his voice was far less menacing in it's higher pitch.
This time B couldn't hold back her laughter. "You can still do all the things you normally do... and more," she said as she approached to inspect him more closely.
"More? I'm shorter! And there are flabby parts on me! How can I do my job in this condition!" Kurt barked.
B sniffed him as she circled around him. "You'll be fine," she insisted, wrapping her arms around him from behind. "It's only for twenty-four hours."
"Ah, well that's not so bad, I'll just take the day off," he relaxed into her arms.
She grinned. "You don't make a bad-looking woman," she commented.
"Y...you think so?" Kurt raised an eyebrow.
"Uh huh." B turned him around and kissed him.
Kurt returned her kiss, "What are you up to, dear?"
"Well, you're a woman for the day... and I'm a man for the day..." She smiled again, a mischievous show of pointed teeth as she pressed him close.
"I think I know what you're getting at," said Kurt wrapping his arms around her.
"You're not scared?" she cooed, backing him against the wall.
"Well....I'm slightly nervous," Kurt admitted, a blush painting his cheeks.
B kissed him there, then along his chin and down his neck. "I won't hurt you," she promised sweetly as she rubbed against him.
Kurt grinned and put his arms around her, "Going to be gentle because it's my first time?" he asked.
