Yeah, it's called the lost wax process
Make something out of wax- add channels for bronze to flow later- dip in a ceramic shell mixed with sand a few times till there is a nice hard shell around it- get it ready for the bronze, pour the bronze and then cool it off with water- hammer it out- cut the channels off and then finish them up and you can polish them
my sister took the class with me and she needed help on the last day so I didn't get to finish some of my pieces, however currently signed up for bronze 2 so I hope to finish them sometime next term, teacher is fine with that since since the 1's and 2's are in the same class and they had some projects from older terms they worked on as well

Going also signed up for art welding hopes that class will be just as fun I just know I have a lot of reports to do since that teacher has like 4 for each class you take of his and I'm taking two of his classes

even with the reports I'm sure that will be fun too!

I guess so, someone I know keeps comparing me to their son, which reminds me also had ceramics
he is at a better more expensive collage and has some classes I'd like to take at some point too
he had a jewelery making class and some others in design that I'd be interest in as well

today I started a project my little sister wanted, working on making some foam swords, started on the basic design today, there are a few more pieces to cut out and will have to get some spray paint before I glue it together... will have to look into a way to reinforce it so it won't be as easy to break

yep sure I'll get started on that
