Take all the time you need hun, there is no rush.

Madame-Aiko 03-02-2015 04:30 PM

Thank you. I appreciate your patience. I swear that I do plan on drawing your stuff eventually.

It looks beautiful

Madame-Aiko 03-06-2015 11:45 PM

Arigato! I used a new shading style involving some sort of opacity tool for shading.

Kaguya 03-09-2015 11:51 AM

perhaps you should do an evolving pet shop?

Madame-Aiko 03-09-2015 12:16 PM

What is that?

ml1201 03-09-2015 11:18 PM

Usually its where after so many clicks it changes form and evolves into a more 'mature' form. Kind of like pokemon (first thing that came to mind).

Kaguya 03-10-2015 05:24 AM

or after a week or so they will change so you would pm the user the new link.

so you could start with an egg, flower, seed or what ever then you could do an baby form, child form, teen form and adult form

Madame-Aiko 03-10-2015 10:50 AM

Maybe... But I have a lack of followers on dA that I have a feeling would be interested in paying for it.

Lawtan 03-10-2015 11:51 AM

Could get you noticed...or you could set up another account...

Madame-Aiko 03-10-2015 12:56 PM

I've never seen the point of setting up another account unless it was for my NSFW art. I feel like it should all be in one gallery so that way people don't have to move around everywhere.

Most people have two DAs, one is personal and one is business/stock/eta. So many people are use to be going back and forth between two DAs and adoptables, breedable pets, etc are quite popular. I know a few people who do nothing but adoptables and they get quite a bit of response, I bought one from one of my friends on there. XD

As for evolving pets, look at sites like UniCreatures and DragCave, after so many set clicks, the pet either hatches or 'evolves' into a new form. Many of the pets have one or two evolving stages before it reaches adult form. Some may just hatch into the final form.

You could even offer to do references of people OCs which is very similar to the last piece you showed. Even if it gets your foot in the door, people will use the references to get more art or join rpgs, etc and might bring you more custom in the end which is a win win really for both involved. I don't know how many people commission others to do OC references, heck, I have an OC still waiting for a reference to be done, but I hate drawing curly hair so I usually just go, bleh. XD

Madame-Aiko 03-11-2015 07:41 PM

I currently have been doing lots of reference sheet commissions, they're really time consuming, but fun.
I've also been considering doing some cute Japanese sushi adoptables, but idk. As for the growable pets, I'll give it a shot.

Madame-Aiko 03-13-2015 11:53 AM

I drew a super cute adoptable and she sold this morning. I was very happy. Someone bid 40 points, and then this awesome dude swooped in and was like, "I'll bid 400, because your art deserves to be sold at a good price, fwah!"

Chloe 03-13-2015 03:30 PM

Told ya, adoptables are always popular on devart. :}
