Depends on the reptile. Leopard geckos don't really have the same scales as fish or snakes. The skin is mostly covered in small bumps and larger bumps, like this:

So, I have another question. XD As the shed their skin, and as they grow older, do they obtain more black spots? o3o

When they're tiny, they have stripes, not spots. The spots fade in gradually and aren't really well-noticed after each shed. The stripes first start fading and you can see black spots in there, then the other areas that didn't have the black stripes start to get the spots. That's with most leopard geckos. Some leopard geckos just don't have the spots.

I might want to get a mack snow (is white / pale yellow with black spots) or black pearl leopard gecko (almost completely black). Right now I have a normal leopard gecko, but is more of a dirty yellow / tan. The natural coloration of wild leopard geckos is tan, but the captive bred ones are normally vibrant yellow.

Would they be able to co-exist with each other? :o

@Overlord Buns: I have seen people keep all their leopard geckos together, although that's not recommended since the males generally get very aggressive with each other. And if you stick a female and a male in the same tank for too long, the female could become very stressed and sick. So if you're putting geckos together, then it has to be all females together.
